Hollywoods® is a 5-acre forest tract in Louisiana with mineral-rich soil, located near Cypress Bayou and Monte Sano Bayou. Its unique environment—among the highest elevations in Louisiana and historically a sacred medicinal site for Indigenous peoples—supports a variety of wildlife and edible and medicinal plants, including deer, foxes, elderberries, and wild blackberries. Below, I’ll address how these species can thrive in this area and suggest other medicinal plants suitable for Hollywoods® based on its ecological conditions.Pitch your tent and grill in a 5 acre forest tract adjacent to the Cypress Bayou waterway near the junction of Monte Sano Bayou which translates to "The Mountain of Health". This was a sacred medicinal area to the indigenous people who originally lived on this land and among the highest points of elevation in Louisiana. Located 5 mins from Baton Rouge Airport.
