A friend & I booked 2 nights, 3 days in Sept. '26 in the glamping yurt with 2 queen beds. We found it spacious, tidy, very comfortable, and loved the views from the deck. The stars were glorious at night as we listened to coyotes and the various farm and woodland animals.
Jessica & Jim are extremely personable hosts. They ensured we enjoyed our time on their property and with their animals. We loved learning about their animals, a number of which were rescues with challenging histories requiring special loving care.
We included plenty of 'add-on' options for our stay. The llama hike and goat social were our personal favorites though the llama social, bunny pets, and feeding the animals were very close behind. The waffle breakfast was delicious.
During our stay we took time to visited the nearby Meskwaki Cultural Center & Museum and learned so much.
This Iowa hobby farm is a peaceful, rural, and rustic retreat. I wish we had spent more time walking the paths and trails. If you see the beauty in the sunrise through a dewy orb weaver's web and find tranquility in the touch and sounds of Mother Nature, consider Windy Goat Acres. I didn't fully realize how relaxed I felt there until I returned to my day-to-day life.
