Robin has thought of everything to make this camping adventure perfect. Not only are the surroundings beautiful, our spot had a concrete slab with picnic table and benches for relaxing after a day’s drive. We travel with our dog, and there was a mown path where we could get him out for a run. But the icing on the cake was the fenced in dog park. What a treat! Rogue gave it two paws up! We will definitely request another stay here if we are ever this way again.

Great little spot just a few minutes off the interstate, but quiet. Super clean, private and welcoming. Dogs loved the SniffSpot Park when no reservations were there, we had the place to ourselves. 10/10 recommend!

I’ve camped here several times, and this visit came with a wonderful surprise 😮 Robin had installed an amazing doggie park! It’s HUGE!!!! We always enjoy the mowed paths through out the property (and this time as well) but the HUGE fenced area for off lead play was a special treat 😍 Thanks Robin! 😍

Robin came and helped make sure I was all set up. It was very appreciated as this was my first big solo trip. The site was beautiful, quiet, and clean. Super close to town, which was helpful for a last minute Hyvee run.

I loved my stay here, it was quiet, private, and perfect for a single night stay during a long road trip. The private dog park was lovely, and the mowed walking trails were well maintained. Easy to find, easy to park with a tow-behind, and right off the highway!

Robin was helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and will most likely be staying again when we are heading south to visit family. We stayed at the greenhouse campsite and he had a few fixings for s'mores and we were able to enjoy a fire and the sounds of nature. The location was so perfect right off the interstate. I highly recommend.

On my trip to this stop I was waylaid by extreme weather through Kansas, and didn’t ultimately make it to Robin’s place. She was super kind and understanding and provided a full refund. I hope to make it to The Greenhouse on my return trip home

Very helpful and easy on and off of highway 35. Peaceful. I arrived on a Saturday. The only drawback might be a week day stay due to a new housing development encroachment to the south of his property.

Robin had mowed nice trails in a field, and I took my dog on several walks there. No one else was around, it was really nice. It's a nice clean farm and Robin greeted us when we arrived. We didn't have a 50 to 30 amp adapter, and he offered us one to use. Just a great place to camp and a nice, professional host.

Pups and I stayed on our way from Nebraska to Wisconsin. Super easy to find and convenient to laundromat and great grocery which we needed. Everything on site was very neat and well cared for. There was construction next door but it didn't bother us at all as there are also some lovely trails, great space for all to stretch their legs! Robin was attentive and we would stay again.

Nice spot with flexible parking options for different vehicles, right off the interstate & easy to find, Robin had just turned the lights on for us & said a quick hello as we were arriving after dark - great experience overall when we needed an overnight stay.

Great location! Very close to Ames and Des Moines. The camp site was very comfortable, and the amenities were fantastic, to have a place to store stuff if the weather got bad and a fridge was great. We tent camped, the ground was level and well groomed. The site is close to the road, and it was maybe a little busier than we would have liked, but it was quiet all night. Unfortunate that the area next door was a construction site, but we were there on a weekend and it was no bother.

We recently had the pleasure of camping at this incredible location, and even though we could only stay for one night, it left a lasting impression on us. The site was spacious, easy to find, and we were able to refill our water upon arrival, which was really convenient.
One of the highlights was the nearby beach, just a 6-minute walk away, which was perfect for those of us traveling with pets. We didn’t have time to explore much more, but from what we experienced, we can say that this place is truly a hidden gem. We absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-located camping spot.
We hope to come back and spend more time enjoying everything this place has to offer!

Beautiful sunset. Cute set up with lights and complimentary smores items! There was early morning construction but I had to leave early so it didn’t bother me much. The neighbor did stop by in the morning while I was packing up. She has William’s syndrome and had some questions for me and my rig. She’s very sweet and gave me a hug before I left. Owner was friendly as well.

Honestly, the place would be perfect, save for a couple major things. The photos unfortunately were quite old and didn’t properly represent the current status of this campsite. There are a lot of large mover bulldozer vehicles next-door of their property within 30 feet for construction of a new subdivision. And additionally, none of the photos show that it is right off a rather busy country road.
During our one night stay, emergency vehicles and loud trucks drove by constantly even throughout the night. We had booked the greenhouse spot, but we switched to the RV spot spot. Luckily, no one was booked there that night, because it was further away, away from the road and the construction and saved us somewhat on the noise level.
The owners were very accommodating, however, letting us grab another piece of firewood, but we ended up not using it anyway.

Lots of room to navigate and get parked. Electric and water hook up was great. Nice cooling breeze in the evening after a great sunset over the valley to the west. Easy drive to High Trestle Trail way parking.

Lovely little spot near Des Moines. We had plenty of space on the host property. He left us snores and water and even gave us apples off his tree. We really enjoyed our stay. As did the dogs.

It was a great spot to stop along a long journey. Easy to get to off I-35. Quiet and peaceful farm setting. Robin was so sweet to leave the lights on for my middle of the night arrival!
