Limestone Bluff

We live on 17 acres in Northern Illinois, a little over half of which is wooded and has a year around stream running through it. There are numerous mowed hiking paths around the hay field and through the woods. The path also goes down a limestone bluff to a picnic/camping area near the Leaf River which crosses the property. There is abundant wildlife in the area including deer, turkey, coyote, heron and bobcat. It is not unusual to see bald eagle or red tailed hawk flying by and at night it is common to hear owl and coyote. We have numerous campsites available, some can be driven to and some are best to hike to unless you have 4-wheel drive and are not afraid of a few scraps and scratches.
