It was a great weekend camping at this site! We had one travel trailer and 2 tents. My dog was able to be off leash the whole trip. Our boys shot their BB Guns out to the fields and there were no neighbors! The river right across a little road was so pretty and a peaceful set up down there. Fishing was hard because we snagged on the rocks more than we reeled in, but it was a great spot! 5 out of 5 for sure! Thank you for our stay!

Really nice private access to the river just across an infrequently traveled road. Our host was very friendly and welcoming. The site is excellently maintained with lots of well tended grass and a place at the back of the property to walk dogs. Great place to stay and it’s close to lake Walcott that has legendary sturgeon fishing. Only cautionary note is for dog owners if yours are crazy about water like one of ours is be careful. The speed on the road is 45 and there isn’t much too slow cars down. Lots of wide open space and I would definitely recommend this site. You and your guests will have the whole place to yourself which is outstanding

This site is definitely a place I would come back to. The river hang out spot was really awesome! It even has a nice little snack shop next door.

I’ll keep this short and sweet. Single best campsite I’ve ever stayed at. Stunningly beautiful location. Right on the river, tons of wildlife, good fishing (thanks for the tips Afton, we caught a bunch). Very private, some of the darkest skies I’ve ever seen. Generously provided firewood. I have nothing bad to say about it and will definitely book here again. Can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed it.

Nice private location, the road is close but not a busy road at all and did not bother us. Great view of the river, nice grassy area for the dog to sleep with a tree for shade. Electric/water /sewer was nice as we were dry camping before and after this location. Also enjoyed a fire one night with wood that was provided.

We enjoyed our stay while it was daylight, we stayed for a week. It has a very pretty view of the river across the street. We brought our kayaks and went around the island and fished some. Road our bikes. Very quite and peaceful area close to the state park. Large level lot. We Could not spend any time outside in the evening or after dark, the bugs were unbearable. If we opened our door to our motorhome we would have to spend the next hour killing bugs. We were traveling thru this area, this might be a normal for the area or for the time of year.

Great spot by the river with easy access to Walcott Lake quiet and peaceful. Was able to get out and kayak on the lake amd then take a swim in the river in front of campsite.

What a lovely place! Sadly I am allergic to mosquitos, so we had to leave early. Not Afton's fault! Clean, nice fising spot! Very quiet and grassy area for dogs and lawn games was perfect, would recommend!

A very tranquil and beautiful spot. No noise just relaxation the birds the river, fishing, swimming. At night the sky lit up with beautiful stars.. if you want to get away from the big city and be alone with your family what a great camping spot.

We vacationed for 5 days and found this little gem of a place Beautiful, Quiet and Relaxing. View of the river right out the door of our travel trailer. Purchased bait at a small country store next door to property for fishing in a private well kept river front spot provided. Pelicans on the river and colorful birds were fun to watch and even saw deer our last night there. Host was friendly greeted us upon arrival, and provided everything needed. Would highly recommend for anyone seeking a nature getaway.

We had an amazing time. So peaceful and quiet. I really liked how we were the only people at the site. We didn’t have to worry about being too loud or if we were bothering anyone. Being right on the river was fun too. Made for very scenic sunsets.

We had a fabulous time, there were 5 adults, a baby and 2 dogs. All of us were welcomed. The site is set up nicely however, our water hose was too short but the instructions on the meter sent us to Ace hardware where we picked up a longer one...They have thought of everything. We were a bit hesitant being so close to the road but was not an issue whatsoever. We had an atv and could hop on it and take off. We floated the river and was very relaxing. The fire pit was a great bonus (as was the wood!). this is definetly on our "favorite" list. One very big positive is that I texted Afton a few times with questions and the response was so quick I had barely put my phone down. This was our first HipCamp experience and we are hooked!

We arrived to find the weekend campers still there but no worries they were very nice and moved out for us. The site is level and has a nice grassy area and a lovely ash tree for shade. Water, electric and sewer hookup readily available. Unfortunately for us we picked a really hot time of year only to find our air conditioning did not work and in addition the bugs were eating me alive. Certainly no fault of the hosts. The previous campers told us they had seen eagles, deer and porcupines while they were there in addition to a river otter. Wish we could have stayed as we only get a few days a year to get away. Probably will try again in the spring

We enjoyed our stay so much! It was very secluded and quiet. We loved having hookups and still enjoyed seclusion. The river access area is beautiful, but not somewhere we would let our kids play b/c of the risk of our small kids being swept away (swift moving but no active/scary currents). The instructions left by the host were complete and helpful! I fully recommend this place for a nice quiet get away! We drove 1 hour away to Shoshone Falls and Dierkes Lake. It was breathtaking and so fun!

This place is beautiful with your own private spot by the river. Great central area to go and explore or fish this part of Idaho. Only 45 minutes from Shoshone falls which is a must see.

10/10. Peaceful, quiet, not a soul around. Woke up in the morning and had my coffee on the banks of the Snake. The yard area was clean, well maintained, and a welcome break for the kids. Way exceeded our expectations. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Very nice site, all set up and kept neat. We will definitely love to go back in the near future. Had a lovely time on site, at the private river access, and up the street at the Lake.
