Just ten minutes from Silverwood Theme Park and five minutes from beautiful Farragut State Park! Five Acre Woods Campground is nestled deep in the vast pines on the back half of our property. Enjoy a peaceful stay while still being close to it all.
Looking to do some hiking? We are loaded with nearby alpine lakes, peaks, and more trails to suit your needs and adventure cravings. Danny has hiked the majority of them in the area and is always up to help plan and recommend local hikes. Furthermore, we are nearby and centralized to many must-see places. As stated, Silverwood Theme Park and Farragut State Park (including their gun range) are all located ten minutes or less from our property. Other places to see include Bayview, Idaho and Sandpoint, Idaho - both situated on beautiful Lake Pend Oreille.

The Daisy Den 🌼

Tent site · Sleeps 4
The Daisy Den! This is our second official campsite here at Five Acre Woods. Access to it will be by walking into the site via a natural, easy-to-follow path. It will only take about 10-20 seconds to walk into your site from the parking lot. Just follow the signs and you'll make it without issue!
Upon arrival into your campsite you'll be greeted with a massive tent pad (approximately 19'X14') that should easily accommodate you and your party. You'll find a gravel pad that leads to your Solo Stove smokeless fire pit. If you've never used one of these you'll love the 'flicker of flames' aesthetics that it provides for your evening campfire. The roasting of s'mores and hot dogs on the stove is 100% absolutely permitted 😊
The Daisy Den is the most shaded of our two campsites. While it does receive morning sun, it provides great shelter from the afternoon heat especially during the hot summer months. This site is also more exposed to our neighbor's property who use the land for a contracting company where they store equipment and vehicles. While you may see them through the trees on occasion - it's typically during normal business hours and it's brief. From your site you can easily follow the trail that will lead you to 'The Pot' (our overbuilt and clean outhouse).
There are no hookups at this site, but there is a communal potable water spigot near the firewood stand for you to use.
We think you'll love this site, and if you have any questions about it feel free to ask! Happy camping 🌲 - Tessa & Danny

Tent site · Sleeps 5
The Bee Tree! This is a large, flat campsite that can accommodate two medium sized tents or one larger sized tent. There's also a small tent pad below the main one, and it could accommodate a smaller one to two person tent. At this site you can expect to have plenty of space between yourselves and the other guests. Guests can expect to park at the designated entry area where they will find a natural, easy to navigate path to their site. Upon arrival, a wheelbarrow will greet you at the parking area. This is a walk-in site only, but it only takes about 30 seconds to get there. Use the wheelbarrow for hauling your gear and belongings to and from your vehicle. There are no hookups at this site, but there is a communal potable water spigot near the firewood stand for you to use. Enjoy your own private picnic table and smokeless fire pit. Nicely sized firewood bundles will be available for purchase. Our campground boasts a beautiful and huge outhouse and is a very short walk from the site.

Brand new for 2026! -The Honey Hive is a back-in site suitable for car camping vehicles, small campers, and camper vans. Guests will enjoy a large site full of the same amenities that's included with our tent sites; a picnic table, smokeless fire pit, fire starting materials, and space to breathe.
This site is best suited for campervans, truck campers, or small trailers 15' in length or less. Backing in to the site is down a small gravel path that you can't miss.
There are no hookups at this site, but there is a communal potable water spigot near the firewood stand for you to use for filling water, dishes, washing hands, etc. There is also a large water jug located in your site that is for emergency fire extinguishment - you may use the jug for other uses, but we kindly ask that you keep water on hand in the jug while burning your campfire. Nicely sized firewood bundles will be available for purchase.
Our campground boasts a beautiful and huge outhouse that we take great pride in maintaining. We do not offer trash services at our campground so we please ask that you pack out what you pack in - there is a gas station and grocery store with trash cans in the town of Athol about five minutes away from our location.
The campsite offers a well-thought-out setup with a smokeless fire pit, spacious tent pads, and charming picnic tables, all set amidst a tranquil, tree-lined environment. Guests appreciate the meticulous attention to detail, from clean facilities to the availability of firewood and water. Tessa, the host, is frequently praised for her accommodating nature and effective communication, enhancing the overall camping experience. However, some visitors noted occasional noise from nearby properties, which might affect those seeking complete solitude.
My partner and I spent one night at the Honey Hive and loved it! The 5 acre woods is on a beautiful property that is excellently maintained. We would absolutely recommend this camp to others :)
Absolutely loved the spot, it was a bit close to neighboring houses as well as the owners. But i never felt watched or like i didnt have my own privacy. It rained the whole night i was there but it was expected. The outhouse is super fancy! We loved the stay and would definitely recommend it!
This was the absolute perfect spot! The Honey Hive spot in particular is tucked back in the trees In just the right way, giving you a nice amount of privacy. Extremely well built picnic table and super neat smokeless fire pit! We had such a blast, stayed two nights and went to Silverwood’s Scarywood event which is less than ten minutes down the road. This spot I would imagine would be amazing in the summertime too as it would probably give you an healthy amount of shade from the surrounding trees. All around 10/10 thanks so much for everything! 🙂
This spot is so incredibly beautiful! You can tell how much hard work they put into making the area nice ☺️ clean bathroom, chopped wood for only $5, and wheelbarrows to carry it down to your campsite! And if that wasn’t enough they even have a fire pit right at the site(: Tessa is super accommodating and went above and beyond to make our trip to Idaho easy and worry free(: I would highly recommend staying here, our family had the best time 😁
We had a wonderful stay! You can see each spot but the distance between them is pretty far so you still feel isolated. I was so impressed by the outhouse- truly the cutest, most intentional campground outhouse!
On a road trip and had scheduled two nights, we had to change our plans and leave before the second night and Tessa and her husband were very understanding.
This was a relaxing stop on our trip and we appreciated all the attention to detail the hosts put in from the wheelbarrows, signs, water at the site!, etc. We will likely be back next year on an annual road trip to Washington and back!
My friend & I had a nice time. The sites were cute. Could of been a bit more manicured. We wish there was an option for a fire, but we understand. It was pretty cold without one. It was chilly & windy. Not enough sunlight. But those are all mother nature problems. The hosts were very nice and the bathroom was awesome. The neighbors were loud with target practice and dogs barking all night, but again.. not any fault on the hosts. Will definitely stay there again. Perhaps not so late in the season. Thanx for having us.
Easy to find, cozy little spot. Parking lot is close to the sites and the water spigot. All of the sites are pretty close together, but spread out enough that it’s not like a public campground. Good amount of tree coverage - places to hammock, but you can still see the night sky.
Tessa was so great at communicating and our stay was so lovely!
We were using this location as our base camp to Silverwood and it was the perfect in-between spot!
I loved all the sweet touches from the cute signs to the names! Such a perfect spot to tent!
The site is nice and has been recently done. There is a nice picnic table. Just as the host said this is on a 5 acre parcel that is near neighbors and there is noise. Noise from neighbors Dogs barking all night long. It was hard to fall asleep with all the dogs barking. And no fault of the host, the neighbor on our 3rd morning decided to run their diesel truck for hours! It woke us up early in the morning and could not sleep. It ran at least 3 hours! While the site is nice and near Farragut Stare park and Silverwood; it is not quiet. Great for a place passing through but not for true camping. The outhouse is cute but needs maintenance and to be pumped.
I stopped there and camped in my van conversion on my way home. It was a very nice, quiet spot for me and the dogs.. Both Tessa and her husband were very nice hosts. I would stay there again.
This campsite was great! It was a little less private than I had hoped- you looked directly into the neighbors property and both campsites were very close, but it was super cute! The property itself was beautiful and we saw many animals! My only other thing is that there really is zero service on the site. Overall though I would stay again!
Great camp spot in the trees. Neighborhood dogs barked quite a bit throughout the night. Maybe bring a white noise maker. Enjoyed our stay. I would recommend
Cute camp sites in the trees. Picnic tables available as well as running water where you park. Very short walk to the camp sites.
Down side is the neighborhood dogs barking a lot of the night. Would stay again.
Wow! This place was amazing. We had a blast while staying here and it had anything we could need. A well kept outhouse, water, a fire pit, and even wood! I would recommend this place to anyone staying in athol!
I loved camping here. The tent pad was spacious and flat. There is plenty of space in between the camp spaces. I liked that it is shaded but still gets sunlight as well. My kiddo really loved the smokeless fire pit.
Definitely will come back in the future.
Tessa went out of her way to make our stay amazing. From allowing flexibility of our arrival and departure times to renting us some camping gear so we didnt have to travel with it. Was a perfect visit!
Cute little spot nestled in the woods. This worked perfectly for our Silverwood trip. Camp was clean and tidy along with the provided restroom. Our host Tessa was very sweet and informative. We will be back!
Tessa’s setup is pretty much ideal for rural camping. Nights are quiet and the campsite itself is well organized, a lot of small little touches that makes it enjoyable. Communication is excellent. Silverwood is 10 minutes away, definitely recommend this !
Had a great weekend camping at 5 acre woods. We had the Bee Tree site and loved the setup. Easy access to tons of hiking and outdoor activities as well as Silverwood. There is some neighborhood noise, vehicles, dogs, etc., but nothing unexpected. Quiet at night and great hospitality from the hosts. Well worth the stay!
Loved tent camping in the Daisy Den! Very quiet area and the composting toilet outhouse was incredibly clean and so pretty?! Easy to find and the hosts were so good about directions, extra amenities like the luxury firepit and extra wood for sale. Highly recommend and will be camping with them again! <3
Amazing clean space and easy to find!! We arrived later in the evening, but the signs and directions were clear! We were even able to find “The Pot” with the helpful light at the top! The water was a plus, we’re on a road trip and have a water jug for hand washing and teeth brushing on the go, was nice to refill without any hassle!
Tessa is very sweet, we were expecting to arrive later than the check in time and there were no issues, she told us to come on in and not worry about a thing! 10/10 would 100% stay again!!!
My fiancé and I stayed for 3 nights in this beautiful tucked away campsite. We had a wonderful time soaking up the wildlife and sitting by the campfire under the stars. It was close to plenty of outdoor trails and recreation areas, which was great! We look forward to another trip soon!
