Location, location, location best describes our beautiful 3.3 acres of privately owned land with a mix of meadows and trees with additional upper-level sites as well. Cyclists, SXS'ers or bikers can take off right from the front gate to The Center of the Universe (downtown Wallace less than a mile away) or out to the open trails surrounding Wallace in all its glory. WHAT WE OFFER: 3.3 acres of mostly flat grassy meadow, trees, as well as a gravel/rocky, still-being-developed area; Lou's Happy Crapper containing 2 private toilets, 2 private bath/showers, and one sink; (As of mid-October the water system will be winterized, therefore no water, bath house or toilet facilities will be available, self-contained campers only until spring when weather permits) a central covered fire pit area, and all of it totally fenced. WHAT WE DON'T OFFER: private firepits, power, sewer or water hookups. WHAT WE KINDLY ASK: Please adhere to pack it in-pack it out practices (Please take all garbage with you when you leave). Leave the restroom area clean after use, including wiping down showers, and keeping toilets clean. Toilet paper and cleaning supplies are provided (any donations to the supplies or firewood is greatly appreciated and follows our "pay-it-forward" philosophy.) At this time, we do not have labeled sites and ask that we all respect the desire to have space between visitors. We have not determined a maximum capacity as of yet, but our desire is to keep it small so everyone can experience the peace and tranquility of the open wilderness. We are pet friendly and ask that you act responsibly and clean up after your pet as well as keep on a leash if they possibly will act out. Please keep gates closed at all times. We may or may not be present during your stay, but at time of booking we will be able to tell you. There are so many events in this awesome town called Wallace. By providing a place for campers to stay is one way in helping to preserve and enjoy this historic, small-town gem! An arial pic is provided to illustrate camp spot possibilities. The campground is rarely this occupied- this arial is of our family and closest friends during Memorial Day weekend 2025. Please do not park any vehicles on the grassy area on the backside of the bathhouse.

We enjoyed our 4 night stay here in September. Lots of level parking available. Had the place to ourselves for 2 nights, then one night a van, another night some tent campers. All were very quiet. We loved how close to town we were, but it was so nice and quiet out here. Beautiful stars at night! Only downside was the bathhouse was occupied by some creepy crawlies that we didn’t want to share with, so we did our own sponge baths behind the trailer instead. All in all, very quiet, safe and pretty place to hang out in Wallace.

Absolutely recommend staying at Achin' Ass Acres!! We really appreciate having a bit of our space, vs packed in like sardines at RV parks. The shower after a day of riding was wonderful! Louie has always been very responsive to our questions and gives great directions. Can't wait to go back next year!!!

This space was exactly as described. The location so close to Wallace was perfect. It was safe, secure, spacious, and clean. Louie was helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back! 10/10

Louie’s place was a great location to stay. We did the Hiawatha one day and started the BDR the next. It was so nice to have a shower after our ride. It’s a great place!

I lived in rural Idaho for 15 years and this is Idaho meets old school Jackson, Wyoming vibes. The fire pit is covered, huge, and amazing! Bring your own wood! Louis was great with his instructions and we were able to easily access, very clean, restrooms, shower, and bathtub even! Very good hot water, great place to pull up our camper van and spend a wonderful evening and morning! We woke up to a male elk courting, we heard the call and also heard the female elk reply, amazing vibe! No light pollution, the stars were amazing, perfectly quiet, great night sleep, would stay again!

This a charming site to camp. It's just a couple minutes to the town of Wallace & near several trails. The site itself is clean & cozy, the bathrooms are well stocked & have both a shower & a tub. There is also a large gathering area with a nice sized fire pit & lots of wood. The site is rigged with small lights all around the public areas to make it easy to see where you're walking at night. The fenced in space is ideal for dogs or kids. Overall a lovely space.

I'm on a long bike trip and finding a place along the trail of the Coeur d'Alene with showers was harder than I expected. This place fit the bill perfectly and the hosts were helpful and generous with their time.

We were happy to have somewhere to rest our achin asses after biking the Hiawatha! This AMAZING property is just down the road from the RV park in town (plus way quieter, more private/fully fenced, and a way better value) with clean flushing restrooms, a huge fire pit, and tons of space to spread out. Can’t wait to come back!

It is a lovely spot near town, easy access with not much traffic noise from the road by evening time. Peaceful, with cute shower and toilet facilities that make it easy to travel light. There was one other camper there, but had plenty of space for us and our dogs. Hardly any bugs. Sweet!

Great hideaway!!!! Away from town but close enough at the same time. Was able to take our Razor right from our site. Peace of mind having a locked gate. Loved having the bathrooms that were clean. The owners are great people, loved chatting with them. Need to come back to enjoy the amazing fire pit.

Loved our stay! We were bike packing across MT to WA, so the name was quite fitting. 5 min ride up from Wallace, and lots of space - amazing quality shower that we SUPER appreciated!! Since it was just us we actually pitched our tent in the covered firepit area and used the awesome infrastructure for cooking tables / hanging up clothes to dry. Would recommend!

Really peaceful serene lot with good bathroom/shower facilities, and fire pit. It was tight getting in and out with a 44ft 5th wheel so I probably wouldn't get any longer than that. Wallace was a quaint little town and my son loved the mine tour.

We loved the location, multiple options for bike rides and the town of Wallace was a lot of fun. We were also pleasantly surprised at how private the place felt from any neighboring parcels. The communication with Lou was very easy!

It was a great place for camping, super close to trails and the town of Wallace. The bathrooms & showers were great, even though most of our group used their RV's. The covered fire pit was a plus. We donated our left over wood, for who ever needs it.

We would definitely stay again. The host, Louie, was super responsive. It was a pretty area just outside of town. We had a level spot for our tent on the grass under a shade tree. It would be a great place for a group to camp, with a central area and fire pit. We had hot showers and flush toilets available and missed the self-cleaning instructions so our apologies to Louie. The night stars were beautiful.
