Planning to book again

This is such a nice place to stay on the island if you like camping— and because you’re on this website you probably do! The camper had everything I needed for five days. I didn’t cook there, but I used the refrigerator. Definitely a safe location to stay which is important to me as a solo traveler. And the luxury of being able to spend time on a quiet portion of the beach was well worth it. The owner is very responsive to questions and needs. The fact that he meets you the first time and then takes you to the place is super helpful!! Hundred percent would book again when I come back. You’ll hear some regular noises from camping next to houses but it’s no big deal.

We had a lovely stay at David’s place on the beach. It was a great location and had everything we needed for a comfortable and fun stay. Just a few steps from the ocean and private beach front, with a great view of Honolulu and Diamond Head across the bay.

Beachfront Glamping Getaway!

We had a great stay and would absolutely recommend this spot, especially for locals looking for a quiet, easy getaway without leaving the island. The host, Kawika, was very communicative and helpful. We stayed in Hit the Cube, which felt more like glamping than camping. It’s a nicely upgraded trailer with a comfortable bed, TV, dining area, full kitchen (fridge/freezer), private bathroom, and reliable hot water. Everything was clean and well maintained. The beachfront location was incredibly peaceful and uncrowded. We visited during stormy weather, so we didn’t get to enjoy the beach as much as planned until the last evening and morning, but even then it was beautiful. Aside from a few friendly night fishermen, the beach felt almost empty. We enjoyed using the beach fire pit, and on one sunny day my footprints were the only ones along the shore. The property also felt very safe and secure. It’s gated, and we felt comfortable the entire time, day and night. We’re locals and mainly wanted to relax and unplug. Ewa Beach was a great choice, with some surprisingly good nearby food options such as Spoon Bunsik and Domo Domo, a fancy new restaurant on a golf course 5 minutes down the road. Ewa Beach Massage & Spa down the road was a great couples massage experience as well. Would be a good spot for locals who like shoreline fishing at night too. Overall, this was a calm, unique, and relaxing place to stay, and we’d happily return—especially in better weather.

This is a lovely private beach campground with lots of great amenities like a hot water shower, places to charge your devices and a wind sheltered area to park/set up a tent. David came by to check in on us a couple of times and ask if we needed anything else which we thought was really kind! Great for couples looking to enjoy the beach :) thank you so much David!

This was the BEST camping experience we've ever had. The host and his wife were both really helpful and incredibly nice. You have plenty of privacy regardless of where on the property you stay. It's only a couple minutes drive to everything youd want to be close to. Never felt more secure at any camping spot then I do here. The beach is amazing here añd Mark has a nice seating area for guests right on the beach was made sunrise and sunset watching comfortable and easy to enjoy. I highly recommend this place and am looking forward to coming to stay again sooner rather than later.

David was an amazing host! The camp was just as advertised only steps from the beach. As a solo female travler David made me feel welcome and I felt very safe! I had an issue with my van and David jumped in and save the day. Would highly recommend this camp and I will definitely be back!! And the shower/toilet is 100% worth the add on!!

David was more than welcoming especially due to the fact that we had damaged our phone and he had been trying to get in touch with us all day. There had been a bad storm the night before we arrived but the site was clean and tidy. Showers were hot and WC’s clean. We had use of tables and chairs, kitchen prep and cleaning area, gas barbecue and beach loungers. The beach so close was a real bonus which we took advantage of for fishing and swimming. Local 7/11 was a 10 minute walk away. We would stay again.

The Right Way to Experience Oahu

This was everything we wanted and more from a shoreline camping experience. The hosting, the bathroom, the shower, the view...perfect. Watching the sunrise over Waikiki was a core memory for my son and I. Highly recommend stopping by for a few nights.

Moonlit camping by the ocean

Our family loved camping at David’s site! Directions were clear and we were able to park right next to the tent so there was no struggle to unload or repack your gear. The site was quiet and peaceful since we were the only ones renting for the 2 nights we stayed. The flush toilet, sink, kitchen sink station and hot shower were so convenient. David was a kind and thoughtful host offering his filtered water since we forgot to pack our own (he also has potable water at the site) and a charcoal grill so we could roast s’mores while we watched airplanes in the distance and fireworks on Friday night. We played soccer during the day in the grassy area of the site and caught crabs at the beach right in front of the campsite at night. The beach isn’t much much for little ones to swim in but we just drove 3 minutes down the road to Pu’uloa Beach park where there was small beginner surf, boogie boarding and swimming. My 6 year old said “I give this place 5 stars!” We all had a blast. Thank you David for accommodating our last minute staycation away from crowds and the bustle of Black Friday! A hui hou!

The warm shower was very nice and the bathroom. Having a private beach with lounge chairs was a luxury. We only stayed one night but it was very convenient and relaxing. We appreciate the very accommodating host and very good communication.

It is one of the best spot we have stayed ever and enjoyed a lot. The owner is very very friendly, he took care of us very carefully. Parking area is well organized with Hot water, clean bathroom, barbeque area etc. Sunset view from the beach area was unbelievable. Just woowww. We loved it a lot. I wish i knew this place is like that we can organize more days in this spot. Thank you my friend for everything <3

I am a solo female traveler. David went above & beyond to make me comfortable. I had the beach to myself and enjoyed the view and beach lounge chairs. The bathroom & shower were great to have! Highly recommend. Pictures don't really do it justice once you are inside your camp area.

Nice caravan, almost private beach

The cozy cabin truly was cozy. It’s a very nice caravan with kitchen and shower and toilet inside. There’s also another hotplate outside you can use. The van is set on a property behind a locked gate and leads up to a lovely beach. There’s a nice shaded area with chairs set up on the beach. We used this as a cheaper base to see the south of Oahu. If you’ve got a car this is a great place to stay. The traffic around Pearl city is a killer but it was a short drive to ko’olina beach lagoons which were beautiful. Would definitely recommend

I stayed at the cozy cube for two weeks while in Hawaii. It was a relaxing place to stay. The camper was clean and being able to walk to the beach to watch the sunrise and sunset whenever I wanted was so great! I had a few days while there that I just had a beach day in between exploring the island. It was nice to be able to just relax on a lounge chair on the beach with the nice breezes, sound of ocean waves and the beautiful scenery! Sometimes there would be local kids swimming or surfing a little ways down the beach. I threw all the beach treasures I found back into the ocean since it's illegal to remove coral, sand, & fossils from Hawaiian beaches to take home. Out of respect for the land I enjoyed finding them and taking pictures but returned them to the water before leaving. With having no rain on the island the banana trees everywhere were sadly dried (poor things) the property was like a desert oasis sanctuary but still a nice safe area to stay as a solo female traveler. I appreciated the gated entrance and that there was a sheriff that lived on the property up front which was all assuring for safety. There were a few issues that I didn't feel were addressed very professionally but David was welcoming and his wife Allison was great to talk with. If I had any problems with the camper David was on top of it. No parking or resort fees, bonus! Thanks for a great stay! I would recommend David's place to anyone looking for a safe, secure and quaint place to stay.
