Haywood's campsite offers a serene escape into nature, with visitors appreciating the peace and tranquility of the land. The host, Haywood, is frequently praised for his warm hospitality and helpfulness. However, some guests have faced challenges with access roads, particularly in wet conditions, and a few found the directions provided to be confusing. Despite these issues, campers enjoyed the natural beauty and seclusion of the site, making it a favored spot for those seeking a quiet retreat.

Haywood's land is absolutely beautiful! I can definitely see it being a bit exciting getting out to the backwoods if there had been a lot of rain but we made it no problem in our Subaru. Haywood was super welcoming and helpful. It was great to be able to let our dogs run without worry. We will absolutely be coming back.

We were unable to get our RV into the camping spots. The road was filled with water and holes. Haywood is an extremely nice man but his property unsuitable for any RV. Ours is a 25'. We are looking for a refund.

Haywood was an awesome host and his land was beautiful
We had a blast, truly a great spot, Mr. Haywood is very helpful, made sure we had everything we needed, and even checked in on us intermittently via the app. Beautiful spot, beautiful scenery, beautiful time. 10/10 will be camping again
Made a same day reservation. The directions link I received after paying for my reservation took me to the wrong place. Multiple attempts to communicate thru the app were unanswered. We didn’t stay here- for obvious reasons. Contacted HipCamp help in an attempt to get a refund. Still waiting……

Great spot! Haywood is very nice and accommodating.
Haywood was amazing. I’m definitely going to stay there on my way back across the country. I wish I could’ve stayed more than two nights. He was totally accommodating. The land is very special and all the animals were incredible. Haywood is amazing. It’s a must stay.!!!
Nice quiet spot. We can ignore the two trains. Easy access. No hook ups but not a problem for us. Camped with two dogs in The back of the Rivian. Much easier than a hotel!

Les voisins sont très sympathiques. L’accueil okay.
Le lieu est mal entretenu et la salle de bain sale.

Mr Haywood was helpful with directions and his land was beautiful. A peaceful night under the pines
Our low-clearance minivan with bike rack on the back could barely handle the heavily rutted and muddy road, even with AWD. When we learned the road deteriorated even more to get to the showers/toilet from the camping area, we abandoned the camp.

Haywood’s property is really pretty with lots of wildlife. There were plenty of trees to set up sleeping hammocks along with traditional tents.

The site was private and pretty. The road/path getting to it was very rutted/washed out and difficult to find. I do not think a car or small SUV could’ve got down the path; I have a 4Runner and it wasn’t easy. The host was helpful though and stayed on the phone while I found a spot.

Great piece of property with a little challenge to find. I will be back
We were unprepared for the cold, which is our fault. Haywood's land is truly beautiful, but there are a few things to think about. On our site, there was no picnic table or table of any kind and we made our own fire pit. We are fairly experienced campers so it wasn't a big deal; just something to be aware of. If you don't bring your own wood, make sure to bring a saw to cut some. There are a lot of flat spots where you can pitch a tent. Overall, I think we'll be back, just when the climate suits our clothes!

Nice secluded campsite, Haywood was a good host. I would go back.
Haywood was an amazing host! Very responsive and helpful. Property is large and several different areas to setup camp. Great individual bath houses with hot water and flushable toilets.
A nice, out of the way & off the beaten path place. A little rugged beautiful setting by a creek bottom.

We enjoyed staying here so much we came back the next week. Beautiful property, Haywood was awesome! Super secluded but close to the interstate. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place! PLUS we enjoyed Moonshine the horse!
We had a wonderful time with Haywood. The pines and scenery was gorgeous. Good folks. Who believes in a firm handshake. We would definitely visit here again. Thank you Mr. Haywood!!!
Amazing campsite with amazing host. This is hands down the best place to bring your family and friends to enjoy the outdoors. There are plenty of trails and a nice creek along the property. Don't hesitate to book your stay.
Beautiful land! Lots of pretty trails with creeks running through and cool ATV trails. Rent the ATV's for the day -totally worth it! Some of the campsites are even near a beautiful horse who likes to say hello! The owners are really awesome people too and I enjoyed chatting with them! They also have the sweetest most loving cats. Bathrooms are very well taken care of and have showers, flushing toilets, and mirrors. Highly recommend!
We loved camping on this property. Haywoood was extremely friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were really nice. Would definitely come back!
