Great Time Camping with Kids & Dogs

We had an excellent stay on Jon’s property. We came to Senoia bc my teenage son wanted to see the set tour for The Walking Dead for his birthday. Jon’s property was conveniently located 10 minutes from downtown Senoia, but felt far away in the woods. We did all things Walking Dead in one afternoon and spent the rest of the weekend hanging out at the camper. We have a 22 foot hybrid and had no issues parking. Hookups were easily connected as well. We made a beautiful fire for about 7 hours one night using only wood from the property, which was in abundance. My kids got to just be kids: climbing trees, running down trails through the woods with the dogs, collecting and chopping firewood, playing outside and getting dirty like boys should do! My dogs loved the property too, just getting to be off leash and hang out with us. My only slight negative is that there was some road noise, especially Monday morning during the morning commute time. It wasn’t terrible, I would absolutely stay here again anytime! It would just be nice to be able to better block that sound. The property is perfect though, the stars are amazing, and we had fun just reconnecting in nature and spending time together camping. Thank you Jon for offering us your land. We enjoyed it very much and if we are in the area again we will be back!

Perfect for a good night's sleep

Quiet. Peaceful.
Did need to change water filter due to well sediment and adapt electric since he is set up for 50 amp and we did not have an adapter.
That aside it was peaceful...and we were able to get a much needed good night's sleep.
It was a bonus that our dog could be off leash for a change.

Not a great spot if you are looking for quiet, wilderness, tent camping. This is right between 5 or 6 houses. Right off of the main road. Probably best for campers.

Loved camping in this spot, very private and quiet. There are some walking trails in the woods that we enjoyed with our dogs. Hosts were very kind and accommodating!

We absolutely love this spot and our dogs do too! Very private and peaceful, you feel like you have your own woods to explore. Very friendly and accommodating hosts, would definitely recommend!

We live about 15 miles away so it was a good campsite to go to where I didn’t have the stress of driving a long distance. We had all the hookups we needed in a cleared wooded area. The site was a pull in with lots of room to back out. It was mostly peaceful but the road did get a little noisy at times. I also would suggest a gate at the entrance to make it a little more secure . All in all it was a fun few days and I would go back.

Jon was a great host, friendly and accessible. The property was beautiful and we loved walking the trail with our kids and pup. The site is only 10 minutes from town, but feels much further (especially at night with a fire and crickets chirping). We all loved our time there and hope to visit again.

Be prepared to be savvy enough to flip on the breakers in the breaker box. The location was easy to get into and out. We were in a class B van.

It was what we were hoping for close to our daughter and grandchildren. It was a nice quiet location and Jon was a pleasant gentleman.
