This site exceeded our expectations. It was also old windy road off the beaten path with no Neighbors and no distractions. Good cell service even though we were able to avoid them. Well gazing at the stars we saw a shooting star overhead which could summarize the few days that we were there. The owners made a special trip down the driveway just to meet us and say hey. We are already looking forward to the next time we can make a stop here from Central Florida. Easy to get into Power and Water were great, wouldn't have changed anything except a few more days. If you're looking for a No Frills reset this is the place.
What a charming and beautiful camping spot! The grass was freshly cut, they treated for ants so we had no problems and there was even power and water. I wish every spot could be this amazing! I highly recommend camping at Teresa and Mark’s Hipcamp!

Very nice site. Well maintained, easily accessible, and friendly host, too! Very quiet and calm. Enjoyed our stay.
Nice and quiet. Host was helpful and friendly. Wish I'd of booked another night. My dog was happy to be able to roam around too. I've got a class B that sits pretty low. I had no trouble getting into and out of his camper spot.
Mark and Teresa have a great site. It was easy access and level. We enjoyed the quietness and plenty of room for the dog to roam.
They are great host and met us to make sure we got set and hooked up to the power and water. We will come again !!!

We actually stayed at site 1 as it was easier to turn the van to use the hook-ups. The location was great. It was close to town and local amenities. The site was flat and quiet. Would definitely use again when in the area.

Very nice maintained property. Easy to get set up. Lots of space to relax. Hosts were very friendly! Highly recommend.
Loved our stay at Twisted Oak Country Retreat! Teresa and Mark Kessler were the most gracious of hosts. We had potable water and electric, plus a serene, peaceful farm pasture setting. Recommend this spot for all traveling through or to the Monticello, FL area.
Secure, quiet, private spot. Great property and plenty of room to walk the dogs!
Mark and Teresa's place is so peaceful. Lots of trees surround a large, clean kept, set back property. You immediately feel the "country feels" that melt the stress away. First, we arrived like 9pm and Mark put out a cone to help us spot the driveway off the dark country road. He greeted us with a light to help guide us in and to get situated and even offered to help.....super kind. He let us know if we needed anything to call on them. We ran into an issue with a disconnected water line on our rig (no fault of his), so we called it a night. This morning, we messaged to ask if he knew of a nearby rv repair. Next thing I know, he is at our camper trying to assist and give us some tips on how we could fix it...Super responsive! We ended up fixing it ourselves, but the amazing part was, unbeknownst to us, he set off to the hardware store and picked up items to return to try to help us. Talk about above and beyond, great guy! ❤️ We were only passing through for one night, but the helpful nature and meaningful interaction was over the top, and made our first Hip Camp experience an exceptional one. We hope to connect again, and highly recommend staying at Mark and Teresa's place. Thank you for your southern hospitality!

Mark and Teresa were wonderful. We hope to come back for X-mad. Well worth the money.
We loved the area and the campsite. We needed a safe place to park our travel trailer, which we are living, in during Hurricane Milton and this was a great place! We would love to go back sometime and enjoy the site. Mark and Teresa were very accommodating and easy to communicate with.

Great spot. Super friendly hosts. Will be staying there again the next time I’m in the area.
Wow! What a great spot. The hosts were excellent with communication and very welcoming upon arrival. I liked it so much there I stayed an extra night. Very private and quiet and plenty of room for my dog Reagan to stretch her legs. I will for sure be staying here again next time I’m in the area.
We had a very nice night camping here. Very pretty and peacefull area and campsite. Very pleasant hosts who respect your privacy. There is a rooster on the property so be prepared to wake up early. Dont judge him though. Hes doing his job.
This was a pleasant surprise! Being our first hip camp experience we couldnt be more happy. We arrived fairly late in the evening. Just making our way to Daytona. Nice and friendly host but didn't get a lot of time to chat unfortunately. Overall a great stay.

What a gem of a place! For me it was a wonderful one night stopover on an extended road trip but it would be a lovely place to spend a week or more. Mark is a wonderful host. Clear and helpful communication , easy access, and gorgeous surrounding countryside. Mark welcomed me warmly and the Paddock space was perfect for my small camper van. He also lots of great recommendations for the area. It’s just 10 min from the charming old town of Monticello so very convenient for supplies. And don’t miss stopping at the Tupelo Bakery it is excellent!
Awesome hosts and great location. Very quiet and just a few minutes to historic Monticello. Water pressure was great and 30amp electric was excellent. We will return and we highly recommend. Thank you to Mark and Teresa!!
Very accommodating hosts. Peace and quiet on 10 acres. Fairly level spot with electrical and well water spigot available. Traveling from Jekyll Island to Apalachicola, we took back roads, which were quite nice, and broke our journey here. The road leading from the main road to the hosts’ driveway seemed narrow in our Class C rig.

Quiet comfortable property. Mark was very nice to us in assisting finding area as we were lost.
As their reviews indicate, Mark and Teresa are wonderful folks, and I can confirm it! The spot was very easy to get to if you remember not to go through the gate at the main house. Turn right *before* you pass the green coop and Bob's your uncle. Mark came out to greet me and help me get set up, and even loaned me a surge protector. I was in love with the spot even before he brought me a plate of fresh-made Thanksgiving dinner! Really kind of them, since I was traveling alone on the holiday. It made my day. The chickens and roosters are really fun and added a lot to my experience just to have some animal friends nearby. The site is quite private and you could hear a pin drop at night. Hope to stay again!
