The hosts were great. Very friendly and personable people. Our camping spot was quiet (except for the rooster) and the bath house was great. Every night they lit a camp fire where everyone could sit around and talk. We would definitely stay there again.

The hosts were really nice and the place was really well set up clean bathroom facilities. Except for some excessive roosters, going back-and-forth all night. And some police and fire activity in the area. It was a beautiful place.We just didn't get much sleep.

Goats, Good Hosts, and a Great Geta

We had such a wonderful weekend camping at this farm in DeLand, Florida. It was exactly the kind of getaway we were hoping for. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived. Everything was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully set up. The bathrooms and amenities were in great shape and clearly cared for. The farm animals were easily the highlight for our kids. They loved seeing the goats and even got to hold a baby goat with the owners, which made their weekend. They also befriended a turkey who hung around our campsite and the sweetest dog named Jacksonville. The kids even gave the turkey a nickname. Getting that kind of hands on experience with the animals made it feel really special. The location was great as well. We spent time at Blue Springs Park and appreciated all the local recommendations the hosts shared, including other parks and the Historical Village nearby. They suggested Big Rig for breakfast, which was exactly the casual, relaxed spot we were looking for. There were other campers on the property, but everyone was respectful and kept to themselves, so it still felt peaceful and private. One especially fun surprise was the bowling ball scavenger hunt on the property, which kept the kids entertained for quite a while. Overall, we would absolutely recommend staying here. It was a memorable family weekend and a place we would gladly return to.

We were returning from a weeks trip out west skiing and we wanted to take one more day before getting back to our daily lives and we found True Trail Farm here on Hipcamp. Kathryn and Mike are great hosts, their property is wonderful, an operating Homestead. we purchased some eggs fresh off their farm, they also offer firewood for purchase, which is extremely convenient, and yes, it’s dry ready for a wonderful fire in their communal fire pit which both Kathryn and Mike took the time to sit down and have conversation with us. Their property also offers a full bathroom with hot water and a shower. We enjoyed our one evening there, which was just right to keep us from rushing back. We will be sure to choose True Trail Farm again!

A very nice set up.. …. location is fairly close to parks and trails and places to eat. I enjoyed Cooks which nearby and is a buffet style restaurant, been doing business since 1959… Very good food! I enjoyed all the goats, chickens and the roosters and the baby goats and the pigs. It was a very enjoyable camping experience. They have a turkey that’s very friendly and a black dog named Jackson. also he’s a very friendly little dog.

We had the best time with the animals!!! Fell in love with Dixie the pig! Other favorites were Georgie, the donkey and Wishbone, the turkey! The baby goats were precious! We loved the Gypsy lodging. Hosts were great, too!

I had an excellent stay! I arrived late at night and was warmly welcomed by the host. The atmosphere is peaceful and surrounded by animals. I loved waking up to the sound of roosters crowing. Best regards, and see you soon—I’ll definitely be back!

What a great experience! We all enjoyed the goats (especially the kids) and searching for bowling balls. It was a pleasure chatting with Mike while he tended to the animals. The farm is actually close to town which was nice. We definitely will visit again if we're in the area.

Ready access, nice bathroom close by, lots of animals to see. Hosts are very friendly. Only minor issue was roosters crowing throughout the night. Very close to stores, and sights to visit.

The campsite was wonderful had all the amenities I need and great condition, had a very nice relaxing time I'll definitely be coming back. The hosts were very kind and generous with their property. I only critique and it's nobody's fault is those roosters like to start early in The morning. But that is a minor inconvenience for what a wonderful campsite it is but that is a minor inconvenience for what a wonderful campsite it is

I thoroughly enjoyed staying in the wagon and experiencing everything there is at the farm. The wagon is quaint and cozy and I kept very warm. The animals are absolutely adorable. I can’t wait to stay again!

Very peaceful at night after the activity calms Awesome view of the stars. Fire pit and charcoal grill. Firewood available for a small fee. Chairs for sitting and talking or quietly relaxing. During the day you can relax and read or interact with the goats, the donkey, the chickens and best of all the little pig. Eggs and Goat milk soap of all different scents to choose from. Eggs also for a small fee for cooking. Best of all my little dog was free off leash. You must keep them under control though. No chasing the other animals. Their dog and mine got along pretty good after they got to know each other. It was like camping out on a little farm. Canopys of Old Oak trees, large enough to go off to the less active areas or closer to the animals and friendly environment. The hosts are so wonderful. One of the best HipCamp's I've stayed at. We loved it!!!

Nice property and the people were very nice over the phone I arrived late and had to leave early for work so I didn't get a chance to meet them but well taken care of property and had what we needed. I did feel it may be a little pricey compared to other sites I've been too especially because I arrived late and left early I felt I paid a lot for 9 hours but that's my own fault for having a busy schedule I am glad it's same day bookings but it was far from where I work but the closet one to me with same day bookings I hate the 24 hour notice that most sites do so kudos there for sure thanks guys maybe sometime again soon I hope to stay longer next time.

We had a great time! Everyone there was very friendly, and we LOVED the animals! My kids were very busy petting animals, playing tetherball, doing the scavenger hunt, and feeding the chickens. The campsite was beautiful as well.
