I needed a nights rest at Mr. Leonard. pulled in late. Mr Leonard showed me the site . He showed the shower and bathroom / toilet. I set up right when the sun went down being in a hurry. Leonard secured the gate to his property, big thumbs up!! The gate was reopened in the morning. I took a few pictures because his setup has many details and fulfilled dreams and scapes and tents and all kinds of detail relating to a comfort minded inspirational and useful accouterments by design and setup. You would have to see this place. In one word, nice.

Solo camped with a motorcycle

Super nice piece of property tucked away from everything, but close enough to everything at the same time. Leonard was a great host! Primitive forest sites were private, clean and easy to access. Facilities and common areas were clean and well kept. I ended up staying a 2nd night and would definitely stay here again in the future.

It was a serene night in the woods under a star filled sky. Leonard was explanatory and friendly. He offered use of his grill and propane stove which was a plus!

The camping spot was very nice. The road was a little rough going in but not too bad. There were two campfire pits and wood provided which was nice. There was plenty of lights strung around and some wonderful country music playing. I didn't look at the shower but

Great spot off the beaten path!

This is a hidden gem! Clean campground. Ton of fun things to look at. Firewood provided. A+ host, Leonard is awesome. Fresh eggs fr the ck coop ($4 per 6) and snacks (free) in the morning were a great surprise bonus. Also, if you’re getting tired of overcrowded campgrounds this summer, this is for you.

Absolutely loved sky acres!! Leonard is a doll. Great location to get away. Has outhouse, fire pit and leaves out cool drinks and snacks. And has WiFi. Love love loved it. Plus it’s the hidden gem that lives between the Disney parks and a bunch of natural springs. Simply fantastic.

Loved Leonard’s, my kinna place!

Loved my stay ay Leonard’s Cabin. Had to cut my trip one day short so only stayed two nights but I’d stay all week if I could. Nicely positioned just off the beaten path but close enough to everything you need. 45 mins from Gainesville & 35 minutes from Cedar Key. Leonard was a perfect host, communicates well, has thought of everything Parking, lights, blankets, pillows, toiletries, even a radio and that rock station out of Osceola I believe, CLASSIC JAM! Cabin is perfect for one, great for two if you don’t mind the cuddling in tight quarters. Leonard put a special touch on this rustic stay with all the decorations. The tent camping sites on his place were excellent as well. I’d do a tent camp there as well anytime! Leonard was the perfect host, gave me the tour and let me enjoy my stay, very gracious and offered great advice for things to do in/around the area. Loved Cedar Key and the seafood! I’d stay at Leonard’s place anytime! So quaint and quiet and a very enjoyable weekend for me minus I had to leave a day earlier than planned. :-( I hope I was as great a guest as Leonard was a host and he’ll have me back anytime I find myself in/around his cabin/camp.

We loved the tent ⛺ camping in the cabin in Leonard's campground he give us snacks at 9am and marshmallows the dogs received snacks too is a very peaceful place just make sure to ask for the WiFi password because there's not Internet signal

I really enjoyed staying in the sleeping cabin. It is helpful.to arrive before dark, and you lose signal toward the end of the road, so make sure to communicate before hand. Perfectly wonderful, rustic, and appreciated!

The Tin Cabin

I loved the Tin Cabin hosted by Leonard... Extremely cutely decorated and furnished better than we expected. Still maintaining rustic comfortable feel... Surrounded by nature, wildlife, trails, and country roads. Not too far from Chiefland Diners and Fanning Springs. Extremely gracious host even provided morning snacks. Fantastic way to bring in my man's 40th birthday 🎂

This spot has the perfect balance of seclusion and access to tourist locations (Cedar Key, Rainbow Spring, Manatee Spring, Silver Spring and others). We tend to keep to ourselves and loved the opportunity to do so, but if you’re more of an extrovert, Leonard strikes me as the type that would have a conversation with you. What interactions I had with him were incredibly pleasant and there is just something about his demeanor that put me at ease. He’s a good soul. Logistics: 1. The space is down a packed sand road with a few potholes but clear up completely when you turn onto Leonard’s road. 2. The space requires some finesse backing a trailer. I would recommend no towable greater than 20ft. 3. Follow the recommended directions provided after booking since not all roads are as they appear on GPS maps. 4. Behind locked gate so leaving behind camper or belongings while sight seeing was comfortable. 5. The space matches the pictures perfectly.

Set up tent site

Leonard's camping spot is a very nice, private location in the forest, completely fenced in for safety, and is extremely peaceful. Leonard really added a lot of nice details throughout the camp, such as funny signs, antiques, a fire pit and cooking area and more. The pit toilet is actually quite nice, clean and airy and he provides handwash, disposable towels, TP and the biggest surprise was the little motion detection light that automatically turns on if you need to use the toilet un the dark. So if you forgot a flashlight you'll appreciate that. Great idea! He is a very nice man who gets you settled in and then leaves you alone. The only thing is that the length of the tent is pretty short so if you're over 5'10" you might feel like you dont fit comfortably. Otherwise everything was great!
