This campsite, nestled among beautiful palm trees, offers a serene and private escape while being conveniently located near Miami and the Keys. Guests frequently commend Hagen, the host, for his friendliness and helpfulness, making check-ins easy and ensuring a comfortable stay. Although some visitors mention construction and a lack of amenities like potable water and bathrooms, the overall experience remains positive with excellent access to nature and nearby attractions. Many appreciate the spacious sites, security, and the simple pleasure of being surrounded by nature, making it a favored stop for both short and long visits.
Hagen is a good host and the site is located ideally for exploring the area. It is stated in site description that longer term residents are the goal and that is apparent. There are several dogs belonging to longer term tenants and what goes with them to navigate. The entrance is so beautiful and the former windmill is very cool, but the rest of the site is industrial/remnants. Hookups worked great.
• Unique Palm tree Farm: Absolute privacy! We didn't see a single soul during our stay, except for our excellent host which was perfect for a quiet getaway." A fantastic alternative to crowded public parks or cramped, commercial RV parks.
This was a great half way stop over for us headed to the keys. Had great bbq super close. I love how simple they made it to get thru gate and pictures to camp site. Will be staying again for in the next year to hang out in Maimi area.
Hagen, the host, was friendly and accommodating. They have construction happening now but it was fairly quiet. If you're prepared for no potable water, no trash recepticals and no bathrooms or showers then this place works. We made it work for several nights.
Site was as described/pictured. Check in instructions were clear on day of arrival and host was communicative about meeting at gate. The only hiccup was he mentioned a black double swinging gate with a mailbox. Immediately before that is a black double swinging gate without a mailbox. So do not look for the gate, only look for the mailbox. Otherwise it was a really wonderful visit and we were central to the things we wanted to do. In 3 days we covered 2 areas of Everglades national park, Biscayne national park, and snorkeling off islamorada. Highly recommend Mario’s for excellent Cuban food (as suggested by our Biscayne national park guide).
The host is very gracious and accommodating. The property is very nice and secure. The property is as advertised and very relaxing. We will definitely keep this one in mind for our future travels.
Electric gate with code access to get onto the property. Our site was great. VERY level!! Lots of yard in front to walk our dog. Good wifi. No problem with electric, water, or sewer.
We had everything we needed here and Hagen was extremely accommodating, considering we had to change our dates. We did end up camping very close to a long time camper and felt we were in their space but it was never a problem. The property is full of beautiful landscape that we enjoyed checking out.
A Very nice palm lined property with a very friendly host. There are 3 dogs on property, so be aware of this if you decide to book. They didn’t bark, and weren't invasive in any way, but if YOUR dog/cat is bothered by other dogs being around, you’ll just need to be aware. We had a lovely stay, and were close enough to the keys that we spent a whole day (left at 9am) and made it all the way to the southernmost tip of the U.S., with time to spare for Dinner on the way back home. Great stay! (full hookups BTW)
Quite and secure place with full hook up if needed. We just plugged in. The property has more of a commercial feel than tropical. Hagen was prompt to communicate with. We would stay there again. 5 stars.
It's very peaceful and so convenient to every thing. The owner (Mr. Hagen) is very helpful and so very friendly. Will recommend friends and family. Thank you, Hagen, it's so pleasant that we had a great time for staying at your beautiful place.
May God Richly Blessed you Hagen!

The area is surrounded by palm trees which offer privacy and gorgeous views at anytime of day. It is quiet and peaceful and we had plenty of space.
Hagen is a fantastic host and very personable! It was our first time staying in a camper van and he stayed late to greet us. Throughout our stay, he made sure we had everything we needed and answered any questions we had which were a lot since we were complete beginners. With his guidance, we felt at ease and at home! He also has the cutest and sweetest dogs!! We would love to come back one day! :)
Hagan was a wonderful host! He is responsive, thoughtful, and kind. He worked with us to find space and a solution when we wanted to extend our stay. We loved camping next to the coconut palms, which provided a great view, shade, and privacy. The security gate was easy to work and made us feel extremely safe. We are definitely telling all of our friends to stay at Hagan’s!
Nice and quiet area! Easy to get in and out. Very nice host gave us all the information we needed and even had good tips on the area. Would stay again!
Hagen’s hipcamp is safe and in a great location to visit the Everglades. He’s highly communicative and friendly. There is a mix of short and long term campers on the property. Some spots are quite private while others are not. When Hagen or his family is around, there 3 dogs are roaming the property. They are very friendly pups. There is no trash and WiFi was out while I was there but he was planning to fix it. I’d recommend staying here if you’re visiting and the surrounding area, it’s good value compared to nearby parks.
Not only would I recommend this host I loved the location. It was close to south Miami but felt like the country. Close by farm stands and u pick strawberries was an added bonus. Completely fenced so my dog enjoyed a little off leash play. The other guests were lovely of the ones we met. Five out of five stars.
Hagen greeted us at the gate and available to help if there were any hook up issues. Nice big yard , very private with lots of palm trees. The property was conveniently located , within minutes to stores, gas, restaurants ,… or whatever you might be looking for. It was very quiet. We enjoyed our stay.
Property is lovely, beautiful tall trees create a special feel. Host is very personable and pleasant. All utilities worked well. Dogs are welcome. There are three dogs on site and dogs are allowed off leash. If your dog is not use to engaging with a pack this may be a challenge. Host did offer to leash dogs but we did not feel it was necessary with our pup as he did settle in eventually.
