Our listing is for tents, camper vans, RV’s, or anything in between and we are excited to host you!  It just doesn’t get much better than this! Our property features a dock for fishing or launching a kayak. The property is close to town and some different springs. There's also lots of activities in surrounding area.  Daytona is only 30 minutes away which means you will have easy access to services should you need them! Our property also provides good access to Ocala National Forest, a great place to find all sorts of outdoor recreation opportunities. You can find kayaking, fishing, and hot springs all within striking distance of our listing. Please make sure to BYO on cooking and kitchen gear if you plan on cooking. Campfires are allowed but you will need to bring or buy firewood.  We do live onsite and we will be excited to greet you upon arrival. We have 8 sites available that are located on a grassy surface and my require some leveling, please keep this this in mind. Our sites have electrical and water hookups for your convenience for an additional fee and generators are allowed. Limited hookup sites availableContact host for availability. Our listings are family friendly and private but you can expect to see other hosts or other campers around the property. Some amenities you can expect to enjoy: -Fire pit provided at sites -Porta-potty available  -Spigot available for potable water -Pets allowed -Wheelchair access is possible -Firewood bundles for purchase through Hipcamp -We do not offer picnic tables and we do not have a kitchen or cooking supplies Additional details to note Please make sure to BYO on cooking and kitchen gear if you plan on cooking. Small and quite campground, great for stargazing at night. The host was helpful and very nice to chat with. There are no showers but they to provide water hookups for those quick rinse offs. Lovely view of the lake in front of the property.

Again, we had the most amazing time at Escape on the Lake this past weekend! It was pure relaxation and bliss. Only a scenic 30-minute drive away from the vibrant town of DeLand, there is always something exciting happening on the weekends, like the lively music festival we stumbled upon during our stay. Additionally, the close proximity to De Leon Springs National Park provided the perfect opportunity for a soothing soak in its natural spring. This sanctuary has become our favorite spot for unwinding and enjoying stress-free weekends.

We loved the leisurely feel of Paul's property. It was peaceful, calm, and quiet. We took a short walk to the pier extending into the lake. Later, we enjoyed a campfire under the stars. Paul is a very friendly host.

This was a beautiful place with a lake and “old Florida” appeal with huge oaks and Spanish moss. We even had an orange tree right behind our rig. Paul was a great host and kept up with our stay.

Paul and Cathy are great hosts!!! The camping area is about 50 yards from the lake, but the dock is easy to get to. There are 5 spots, all are good. Water/electric hookups we're first class. All sites had fire rings, though we did not use ours. Gas, food, etc all just a short drive away. It's a peaceful, secure location you can feel good about staying at. We won't hesitate to come back if our travels bring us this way... 👍👍👌👌

Paul provided a perfect spot to camp. Quiet and plenty of room to walk our dogs. Easy in and out and minimal leveling. We will definitely be back!

The property that Paul has there is lovely. There are amenities, but the best amenity is how great Paul is. Welcoming, prepared, helpful, friendly and great conversationalist. We stayed 3 days and hope to be back soon! Thanks Paul, real pleasure to meet you.

I arrived just before sunset and Paul was great. He greated me showed me to my spot which had a lovely view and then showed me the dock so I could watch the sunset over the lake. It really was cold night so I was able to get some firewood from him too. The place is beautiful and was great chatting to him

Beautiful location and views, a very peaceful place to relax. Host was very accommodating and outstanding and being attentive to all the campers needs. No trouble very pleasant, definitely.Would go again and suggest this hopcamp to anyone. Definitely would rate 10 out of 10.

We had a great time at Escape on the Lake! Paul was a fantastic host. He checked in daily to make sure we had everything we needed and made us feel very welcomed. The property is very pet friendly and Paul would even bring our dog treats. The property has easy access sites and the lake was an added bonus, beautiful sunset nightly. We would definitely recommend this camp to anyone looking for a place to stay. Thanks again Paul!

Paul is a great host! Very helpful and friendly. The land is beautiful and peaceful. He explained about the wildlife. Paul took his time to always stop and talk and check on us to make sure we were having a good time and if we needed anything. We told him we would definitely be back and to hold our spot. Definitely recommend his place.

What wonderful hosts Paul and his wife are. Beautiful setting on a private lake. It was so peaceful and relaxing. I have definitely added this to one of my favorite places to stay. Will be returning!

This was my families first camping trip together and we LOVED this place. It was quiet and beautiful and had a private doc to enjoy some fishing everyday or just sit and look at the scenery. I would recommend this place to anyone I know!!!! My boys didn't want to leave

We were expecting something a lot more private with a name like private escape. Overall, we still had a nice time. The ports-potty was clean, which we appreciated. The dock is across the street, it’s nice that it has seating. We didn’t catch anything or see any activity when we tried fishing. It might have been the weather or that the vegetation was overgrown. We could hear the racetrack nearby at night. We didn’t mind it but it’s something to note. The other camp sites were closer than we’d thought they’d be. We could easily hear our neighbors conversations. The property was well maintained with big trees that provided shade but we will not be returning.
