Greetings Hipcampers! Thank you for considering your camping adventures at my listing, I look forward to welcoming you! Here’s some information about the general area. If you don’t need it, just skip down to the “About us” section. Our property is located in the Sailfish capital of the country in the heart of Historic Port Salerno/Stuart Florida. World class deep sea fishing, boating, and some of the finest seafood restaurants on the east coast are less a mile away. We’re just 5 miles from downtown Stuart on the Inland waterway that offers a lovely walkable downtown where you will find a theater, unique art studios, interesting and unique craft and clothing shops, and numerous restaurants offering everything from vegan and vegetarian options, to pizza, steak, and local seafood. If you’re looking for fast food franchises in the downtown areas, you’ll need to look elsewhere! Only 11 miles from Jonathan Dickinson State Park. Daily excursions are available from the launch site to the infamousTrapper Nelson’s hideaway. A must do for adventurous types who appreciate legends and creative off grid living. ABOUT US: This Camp Site is on a 1/2 acre, owner occupied property and located in a beautiful, open, quiet neighborhood setting. It offers a natural walking path (with some exposed tree roots) and several beautiful foot bridges around the lake. Our property has very easy accessibility to all major roads including interstate 95. This camp sites provide a peaceful stay while still being close to all you seek. This location makes for a great stop over or destination spot. Guests will wake in the morning to the lovely site and peaceful sounds of the mostly year round residents including pileated and red-bellied woodpeckers, vultures, raccoons, egrets, ibis, hawks, quaker parrots, herons, bluejays, grackles, crows, lizards, mourning doves, otters, squirrels, owls, hawks, and occasional sightings of iguanas and turtles. Nights tend to be dark and quiet with minimal traffic noise. We are pet friendly provided your pet is too! Again, this is in a quiet, neighborhood type setting, just a bit off the beaten path. I will happily answer any questions you may have upon arriving and then respect your privacy and solitude. I look forward to welcoming you here!

Greetings HipCampers! Thank you for considering your tent camping adventures on this site, I look forward to welcoming you! This Campsite is basically a tent camp site. There is adequate space for a small tent and vehicle. Backing in may be necessary depending on your camping style and needs. Our property is just a bit off the beaten path but definitely Not secluded or remote. Host resides on this 1/2 acre lot, not far from the Camp Site. The surface of the tent site is flat with a mix of grassy turf and the ubiquitous sandy type Florida soil, usually with some covering of native pine needles. This is an owner occupied property on a 1/2 acre lot. It is naturally-forested with several towering eastern slash pines, a few palm trees, and several fruit trees and other vegetation. Again, this site borders a county lake that boasts a beautiful natural walking path. It is not remote or secluded and is located in a neighborhood type setting, and, as with most campsites, does not provide complete privacy. The compost type toilet is located within its own small tent structure near the campsite. Please be sure you understand that this is definitely not a flush toilet! I don't want you to be disappointed! You will be asked to add gel powder to liquids and cover solid deposits with the sawdust or mulch material provided. Easy peasy! A shared outdoor hot shower (with minimal overhead covering from rain or windy conditions) is available for use, if desired. Host also uses this shower daily. Due to drainage and water use, please keep showers on the shorter side, and try use the “on/off” method to conserve water. Please use your own shower supplies. Electricity for charging small mobile devices may be offered. It does not provide electrical hookups for full time or continuous use. City/potable water for use from a hose located near the campsite is available during your stay. We do not currently have an outdoor kitchen, so please plan accordingly. Electric (30amp) and water hookups are easily accessible at this back in Site. Septic service is not available here. Please plan accordingly. Dumping of gray or black water is Not available at this Site. Here’s some information about the general area. If you don’t need it, just skip down to the “ABOUT US” section. Kayak and bicycle rentals are available near the launch site. Daily excursions are also available from the launch site to the infamous legend Trapper Nelson’s hideaway. A must do for adventurous types who appreciate legends and creative off grid living. *ABOUT US* What you can expect to find at our listing: A friendly and welcoming reception from your Host. Host will happily answer any questions or concerns you may have upon arriving and then respect your privacy and solitude. Do not hesitate to contact your Host during your stay if you need assistance. You are welcome to walk around the property but please be considerate of others. We are nestled in a bird paradise in a quiet park-like setting located on the edge of a beautiful Lake at the end of a dead end road. Catch and Release fishing is permitted here. The location offers a natural walking path with several foot bridges around the lake. The circular, unpaved path around the lake is approximately a half mile. Our property is a bit off the beaten path but has very easy accessibility to all major roads including interstate 95. Grocery stores, Walmart, gas stations all within a mile or two. Our camp sites provide you a peaceful stay while still being close to all you seek. This location makes for a great stop over or destination spot. Some Leveling may be necessary and Jack pads are encouraged. Our 1/2 acre property is located in a neighborhood type, open, park like setting and is naturally-forested with several towering eastern slash pines and a couple of palm trees, various types of eatable vegetation, and several fruit trees. 30 amp service and water is easily accessible. Sewer dump is Not available. Please plan accordingly. As with most campsites in an open, park like, natural setting, this Site does not provide complete privacy. Guests will often wake in the morning to the lovely site and peaceful sounds of the mostly year round residents including pileated & red-bellied woodpeckers, black vultures, raccoons, egrets, ibis, hawks, quaker parrots, herons, bluejays, grackles, crows, lizards, mourning doves, gray squirrels, owls, hawks, and occasional sightings of iguanas and turtles. We’ve yet to see an alligator here! Let us know if you spot one! Nights tend to be dark and quiet by the lake offering a world away from the hustle and bustle with minimal traffic noise. A train can sometimes be heard in the distance. We are family and pet friendly provided your pet is too! Please be respectful and responsible in bringing along a leash and your own pet waste bags. ***This property borders a beautiful Small Lake to the South and a Retention Pond to the Southeast. Catch and Release fishing is permitted here. There is no wifi but cell reception tends to be very good. If you smoke, Please advise host In Advance so that we can provide an appropriate container to safely extinguish cigarettes. Please Do Not throw cigarettes on the ground. Please be considerate of neighbors when enjoying your music. Thank you! Check in time is about 2pm but flexible. Gia is one of the best hosts we’ve encountered. It was cold and she brought us out a space heater to help keep us warm. We also had an electrical issue in our RV and she did everything she could to help us with it. Besides all this, the spot is lovely by the lake with a walking trail around it and there are plenty of stores and parks nearby. This is our second year here and we’ll be back again!!

Gia was very sweet and kind. Her place had a beautiful view of the pond. Had a quiet and peaceful night. Would recommend to anybody looking for a place to spend the night. We had our camper van, but the location is also perfect for tenting.

Nice spot for an overnight. Site is off the driveway, open to the road. The back of the site has a nice pond and walking path. We enjoyed our morning coffee there listening to the birds chirp. Owners are very nice, helpful and responsive. Seemed to be a safe neighborhood with restaurants close by. Would stay again!

The actual location is nice. It had a lake view from where we set up our tent. You can take a nice little walk around the lake with no obstructions. There is an outside shower with hot/cold water which was great! The location seemed central to many restaurants and stores. The location was great, but what really needs to said is how awesome Gia is! She was so thoughtful and willing to go out of her way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. She is a wonderful, caring person. I am grateful to have been able to meet and talk to her. Ordinarily, our paths would not have passed, but fate has it that we were able to meet. If I ever need a place to stay in that area, I will definitely be staying at Gia's.

Tent camping here was beautiful. The trees are beautiful pines which the owner took the care to save when the property was being built. The trees are very thankful for this energy and in kind or protecting the land. As a woman sleeping alone, I felt completely safe in my tent and this beautiful yard looking at the water. The hosts are so kind hearted. This is really a good place For spending time with nature while still in a city’s drive

Gia’s hipcamp was amazing! The tent spot was in the back of the property closer to the lake. It was level, quiet and having access to a potty and a shower were A+ additions. Gia was also very accommodating at taking me in late when I buggered up on my previous hipcamp booking. If I lived closer, I would definitely visit more often. I also have 2 more new friends (oh and little Rinpoche) !! Thanks Gia and Elleen for your exceptional hospitality.

We loved camping with Gia. It felt private even though it's a suburban setting. The lake is beautiful, we got to see a family of otters with babies which was really special. The listing is spot on for what to expect.

I loved the view from this campsite and there’s no alligators in the water btw. Gia was awesome showing me her fruits and vegetables to and even gave me some bananas! I felt comfortable here.

The hosts make this good camping spot great. Accommodating and friendly hosts make camping in the yard a pleasant stay. The parrots and other morning birds greet you and a quiet walk around the small lake make this a good place to camp. A 20 min drive to hobe sound national seashore. Only drawback is the rail system is fairly busy but not so at night and distant enough to sleep through.

Gia was a fabulous host! We were able to park in a mostly shaded area. Her yard was full of sustainable trees with a beautiful view of the small lake, which you could walk around. The breeze was wonderful. She had many suggestions as to where we should go within a bike ride distance. The dead end road made for a quiet night. We loved the peaceful, easy feeling we got staying there. Namaste, Gia and Eleen. We will be back!!

Gia and Elaine are the most wonderful and adorable host's. Extremely accommodating and want your stay to be perfect. Beautiful property near the lake with plenty of wildlife, conveniently located to shopping, restaurants, beaches, and highway access. Location is in residential area so there is some traffic noise, but rather private and secluded as well. Overall rating, 2 thumbs up and highly recommend. Our sincere thanks to Gia and Elaine!

We had an amazing visit! Our hosts were very attentive to our every need. We arrived to 75 degree weather but by the next day a cold front had come in. Needless to say it was cold and rainy for 3 more days. Gia accommodated us and we stayed an extra night. She even gave us a space heater because we were staying in a tent. We had a wonderful bonfire and enjoyed meeting some of the local neighbors as well as the other hipcampers who joined in around the fire. Our hosts provided us some plant cuttings to take home and we looking forward to propigating them. We are planning, and hope to go back next year. Thanks Gia and Elaine for your kind hospitality.

Gia's place is just fantastic! And so is Gia! I was warmly welcomed pulling in and shown around the lovely space thoroughly- the water and electric much appreciated! Gia is the greatest hipcamp host I've had and kept me updated with the goings on at the property and making sure I had all I needed to be comfortable. The trail around the reservoir is lovely and what a pleasure to have such direct access. The hot water shower was just perfect and always clean & tidy. I will definitely stay here again and can't wait for another visit! A++

I didn't know Gia before camping on her property, but I knew the area and wanted to stay near my favorite part of Florida. Now, I have realized that She is an exceptional host and has made us feel like extended family. I hope to stay here the next time we are in the area.

This was my first booking with Gia. When our truck had a major breakdown, my first thought was "thank goodness we are somewhere safe". Gia and her partner Elleen are wonderful people and you feel welcomed into their lives. They are in a transitional neighborhood that I loved. They have several ponds in the area that are wonderful to walk around and the marina area is walkable with lots of fun places to visit. Definitely a must stay location.

Gia was very welcoming and accommodating, the property is well maintained, nearby lake is nice, a few bugs, it's florida after all, not much privacy but I was informed of that prior by the host, which I didn't mind, light sleepers may hear the train or roosters in the distance, for me wasn't bad at all, for the price, it is well worth it, I'll visit again for sure

Gia and her partner are wonderful people. They are hospitable, kind and truly welcoming. Their Hipcamp is in a cool transitional neighborhood in Stuart/Port Salermo with lots of trees and water in the vicinity. We enjoyed our strolls around the pond in their back yard. Locally, you can walk to great restaurants on the waterfront. We enjoyed some live music and food trucks while we were there. While staying at their Hipcamp, our truck broke down. I remember thinking over and over, thank goodness it happened whike we were at a safe space. I will always remember their kindness and generosity at this difficult time in our lives.

My bf and I had an amazing time staying at Gia’s. She was so sweet and welcoming. She even let us use her outdoor shower. Her place is beautiful and has a gorgeous view of a large pond in her yard. We were able to do some fishing there and in other nearby lakes. It seems like the whole city is like a fishing town so it was the perfect place for us to stay. I can’t wait to go back!
