Nelson’s Outdoor Resort, formerly known as Nelson’s Fish Camp, has been a Central Florida camping and fishing destination since the 1950’s. Nelson's Outdoor Resort is set along the banks of the Ocklawaha River on State Route 42, near Lake Griffin on the Harris Chain of Lakes, Silver Springs, the Ocala National Forest and much more. Enjoy Central Florida relaxation & recreation, from sunrise to sunset and beyond! The Ocklawaha River and the Harris Chain of Lakes are prized for their fishing opportunities. Get out on your boat or enjoy fishing from our dock for Specks, Perch, Large Mouth Bass and more! Away from the water, there are plenty more outdoor activities for the sportsman to enjoy.

    Campsite
    We had a great stay! Camp site was easy to find and we really enjoyed the picnic benches by the water. The host was nice and helpful. The campsite has restrooms, laundry facilities and we enjoyed chatting with other guests who were all very friendly. We’d be happy to stay again!
