Homosassa is an old Florida fishing town that is a hidden gem along the gulf coast, this site is nestled quietly at the head of the river on our shared residential property. This location is close to the head springs and Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park where you can discover the wild side of Florida with endangered Florida panther, red wolf, manatee and whooping crane, plus black bear, bobcat and, of course, alligator. The site is located 150 ft from the dock on our private residential property at the head of the springs, the dock is not visible from the site you do have to walk down to the dock area. This is a residential area and is very quiet. You can see the layout of the property in the photos from an aerial view as well as other photos of the setup. This listing is for the SITE ONLY. Setup your own RV under the shade then enjoy our shared dock with direct access into the Homosassa springs for a refreshing dip or paddle. We provide full hookups (water, sewer, 50amp electric) for your RV as well as WIFI service and access to the docks for your boat or swimming. We have kayaks and paddleboards INCLUDED with our site or bring your own to paddle the springs and take a chance at seeing a manatee up close and personal or catching some fish. We love to share our space with like minded outdoorsy people who respect nature and like to relax in the outdoors. It was great to have a well lighted dock to tie up our boat. The campsite was clean and kept up very well. Alondra’s place is very special indeed. Neighbors were all friendly and helpful. Alonda was available for our questions. I’m grateful Alondra gave us the opportunity to enjoy her very special beautiful piece of heaven on the spectacular Homosassa Springs of Florida.

Great spot for kayaking and enjoying the local nature. Spot was a great fit for our 28ft camper with one slide out. Make sure you have 50amp hook ups as we forgot the 30/50 conversion and had to get it from tractor supply last min but thats my fault. This beautiful space is a diamond for sure. This place will not disappoint.

Very peaceful 🙏 super close to everything loved being able to access the springs right from the dock, wish it was cleaned up a bit more like the plants cut back so we could utilize the dock to swim and hang out but the bugs were a bit much , we were able to doc our boat which was awesome and our paddle boards . Lovely time and we will book again 😊 thank you for sharing your lovely site

We loved camping at Alonda’s campsite. Nice shaded lot with easy access and hookups. There was outside dining and nice packed gravel which kept inside of camper clean. The amenities offered were great. We could use back deck by canal and also use of kayaks were a fun activity. We enjoyed a nice relaxing holiday weekend stay. Definitely would come back and stay again.

Great site great location. Everything was as expected. The area is gorgeous and site was close to everything a person needed to do. I was there in the beginning of May and the deer flies were a pain in the ass but the area made up for the inconvenience

Fabulous weekend! The campsite was clean, level, and quiet. The access to the spring head is perfect and such a nice swimming hole just feet from the dock. We look forward to returning.

We loved the place....so quiet and serene. Easy to pull in our 33 ft trailer. The water is crystal clear and we sat on the dock for hours watching the fish jump and the ducks swim by. We even saw a baby manatee ! Used the kayak and visited the swimming area and saw a few more manatees. The site is located in the front yard under trees and very private. The dock is around the back of the property. It's close to everything so if you forgot something....there is a store nearby for you.

We absolutely loved Alonda’s site. It is in a residential area but we still felt like we had our privacy. The site is level, had 2 hoses for us to use and outdoor lighting which really helped as we were setting up at dusk. The water is a short walk away and we enjoyed having coffee on the deck and eventually getting on our kayak to check out the springs. We borrowed hers once and used our own the other. It’s a short paddle to the head spring but it was very busy with boaters (this was around noon). Head out in the morning for a quieter experience. We did this on our second day and it was so much better. Watched a mama manatee nurse her calf. It was incredible! We would love to return back to Alondra’s site for a peaceful retreat!

site was nice, shaded, and quiet even though it sits on the road in front of her home. Alonda was very responsive and helpful. she offers kayaks, paddle boards and floats to use as well as chairs on her dock for relaxing. the dock is a quick walk to behind the host’s home and sits on a quiet cove. it was a very peaceful stay and we saw a manatee while kayaking. we would definitely stay again!

We had a pleasant stay. The site was clean and mostly felt private. We didn’t use the dock or kayaks but they were a short walk away behind their house. Very close to Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park. Be sure to see Lu the Hippo there. We were surprised to see a hippo at a state park, but he is an honorary Florida state resident. He over 65 and is oldest one on record.

A beautiful site under live oaks and very close to the water with an easy paddle over to the springs. We so enjoyed the manatee, wood ducks, and jumping fish as we paddled around. Alonda was very kind annd anttentive and even let us stay an extra hour. To be clear: The site is not right on the water and the water is not visible from the site. It is on a road on the other side of the house from the docks with neighbors around as well. The road was not a busy one at all and all the neighbors smiled and waved nicely so we didn’t mind, but were confused about this part from the listing. Would definitely stay again!

Gorgeous, private, peaceful site on a canal near Homosassa Springs. Alondra provides kayaks which you can paddle to the springs. We found this place to seem remote, but it really isn’t. Very convenient to Publix, etc. Good central location to explore the area.

We loved staying with Alondra. This site is peaceful and beautiful with gorgeous flora. The dock area is nice and the water clear. Great location close to all the things we wanted to do. Would definitely stay here again.

The site was great! Plenty of room for our large RV, large campfire and outdoor dining area. We borrowed the kayaks and paddle board for s short paddle out to the springs. We really enjoyed all the manatees! Thanks again Alonda :)

I loved the property. So welcoming with all the plants and a little fairy garden . Easy to back in gravel lot with a fire pit and outdoor dining patio set. But our favorite part was the dock on the creek with access to the river. Beautiful place to kayak. Would definitely comeback for another visit when in the area.

We had a wonderful stay at Alonda’s site! The place is beautiful and close to everything you need. Alonda went out of her way to keep us updated after the Hurricane passed through the area. She was quick to respond to any questions. We look forward to going back!

Oh - we loved this place! Florida weather wasn’t cooperating with us but it was still so beautiful. The spring is gorgeous, Alonda was incredibly responsive to inquiries, and the site was just perfect. We’d love to come back!
