Tent site · Sleeps 6Come enjoy a quiet getaway at Healing Tree Homestead. Pitch a tent waterside by our large pond to enjoy the breeze and a sweeping view of the entire property lined with oaks, pines, acacia and brazilian pepper. Wake up to the sounds of farm life with roosters crowing and sheep bleating. On clear nights you can enjoy gorgeous views of the night sky and do some stargazing. Firewood is provided on property from the communal firepit and a composting toilet is available for your use while here. Fresh drinking water is available from any spigot on site for any bathing needs.
Our 5 acres is close enough to I-75 and in-town amenities to be convenient, but far enough away to offer a peaceful rest from the hustle and bustle of city life. The backside of the property faces the 85 acre Caloosa Girl Scout Camp property and the neighboring acreage is either vacant or houses quiet neighbors who keep to themselves. The RV campsite has a clear view of the large pond and property. We’re a working homestead that’s constantly growing and changing, and there are sheep, ducks, chickens, cats, a dog and a bunch of kiddos, but we all have our own spaces away from the RV campsite. Part of the property is a nursery, part of it is a young orchard, and some of it is used to free range our livestock. We work and live on site. If you would like to participate in feeding animals, planting trees or helping us prepare garden beds, we’d welcome the company. On the property we enjoy bird watching year round (since many different water fowl visit our pond) and in the winter months we love camping under the stars to stargaze at Orion, the Pleiades, Taurus, The Big Dipper and many more constellations. This is a secluded spot near the Caloosahatchee River and lots of nearby parks accessible by a short drive for hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, boating, etc. There’s a gas station where our road meets 31/Babcock Ranch Road making it easy to gas up on your way out of the property to your next adventure. At Babcock Ranch down the road there’s a Publix, our favorite Pizza place: PiLocal, walking paths, restaurants, a lake for fishing, a boardwalk along the lake and splash pad for little ones to escape the neverending summer of FL. If you have a boat or jet-ski, you can dock at The Boathouse Restaurant off 31 a few minutes down the road for Caloosahatchee River and Gulf Access.
This is a quiet, peaceful, healing place with animals and children around - we welcome those looking for a safe place to unwind and immerse in nature. We welcome families and friends onto our property regularly so there will likely be happy noises of people and children working and playing on any given day. We have a zero tolerance policy for screaming, lewd loud coarse speech, drunkenness or inebriation of any kind. Firearms and recreational drugs of all kinds are prohibited. We reserve the right to ask you to leave at any time if we feel that your presence is disruptive to our family and property or if you’re breaking these boundaries. Thank you for understanding!
