While there are no electricity or water hookups, guests have access to a shared hose nearby for filling up buckets as needed. Enjoy direct front-facing views of our friendly rescued goats, who roam within their fenced enclosure behind the main house. (SEE PHOTOS FOR A SKY VIEW OF THE PROPERTY) Try Tiny House Living in this fully hooked up Antique Truck Bed Camper from the early 70's. It has all original features with added amenities such as Central A/C, an Indoor Fireplace, Electric Cooktop, Air Fryer, a Keurig and Wi-Fi ! The camper is designed to sleep 4 guests but feel free to bring a tent for additional guests or space! Please Note: There is no running water inside The Time Machine, but there is a private outdoor sink/shower available at this site.

Terrible description of this camping spot, literally in these peopleā€™s back yard, there ā€œanimalsā€ are all in the dirt in small cages in the back yard, there was no electric or lights like described, the toliet bucket was there but there was no curtain on the rings so there was no door. The projector screen that you can rent for $20 more was rusted and laying in unmowed grass by a tree. I drove back to the spot and could see all their neighbors yards even though it was advertised were secluded. I left the minute I got there and so did the customer before me said the owner then when I clearly asked for a refund he told me no.

It was beautiful! Host was amazing, site was clean and huge, the barn animals were adorable, we got the projector and that made the night so wonderful. Glamping to another level, and so close to beautiful springs and things to do 10 out of 10!!!

Cool secluded spot for camping. Traveled with our 2 dogs for a quick overnight stay. The site had a fire pit and a table with chairs which was nice. There was a porta potty available close to the site. Quite & peaceful place to sleep under the stars. Host was responsive and super nice. No complaints :)

I loved tent camping on Arcadios land! The stars were in clear view which was so beautiful and he was so accommodating! It was so peaceful out there and waking up to the rooster crows was so nice! We got to watch hocus pocus on the projector screen while laying out on a blanket by the fire and that alone was such an experience Iā€™ll never forget! This camp ground is also close to the springs which makes the drive super easy and short! Will definitely stay here again! Amazing host!

Sandy Stars 2 was a hit once again. We saw tons of shooting stars the first night and loved movie night on the projector screen. We spent our days exploring the coast at Crystal River and paddling down Rainbow River. Both are an easy 15-20 minute drive from the campground. The animals were fun to interact with, neighboring campers were friendly, and host was upbeat and accommodating. Wilbur the pig is a great ambassador to the campground and honestly I would come back just to spend time with him. Overall 10/10 experience, this place is on my all time favorites for Florida camp sites. Thanks again to Arcadio and his family for another wonderful weekend!

The farm animals were absolutely adorable, and Arcadio is a very kind dude that clearly cares for their welfare! The camp site had all necessities to enjoy a weekend, it was a set-to-the-side area of his farm property, and so peaceful. Fireside dinner and stargazing was the best! Highly recommended

Ok, so the host Arcadio was very nice and movie night with the big screen projector was the highlight. However, The camper was a big disappointment. It was also in the hosts' backyard essentially and was definitely vintage in the sense that it had been untouched for years...lots of cobwebs and very dusty. The sink outside worked but not the shower, not that we could have used anyway with the colony of very large roaches protecting it. And there was a wood palate under the stairs that broke as my daughter was stepping down causing her to fall, that was very unsafe. The only real positive is that the a/c worked. The driveway was made of very soft sand and one of our trucks got stuck a couple times. There was a big hill from parking to camper that continued down to campsite that we weren't expecting and it was difficult to get a member of our family who was in a wheelchair up and down, so not ADA friendly at all. The campsite had tall brush we had to clear before being able to pitch tents. We thought there would be a time where kids could feed animals like a petting zoo situation but didn't happen. All in all we made it work, and it was close enough to stores and rainbow springs which was nice. I think if we had chosen a different site on property the experience could have been a bit better, but for what I paid this wasn't worth it. Was charged $20/ person after 6 ppl, so yeah Will definitely visit a site 1st before booking in the future,cause you can't rely on pictures al

Nothing really needs to be improved. Camping here was nice, just a lot more rustic than I expected. The hosts were great. There was lots of wildlife and the rescue animals were awesome.

This property is full of charm. From the pixie lights that light up the front entrance, to the hospitality that Aracdio provides to his guests, it was excellent! Let's not forget about the rescue animals, either! Waking up and talking to the goats, pig, and turkey.. just the southern quirk you never knew you needed until ya had it! Outdoor restrooms were available and found a source of power to recharge electronics - as needed. Firepit and chairs/table right by campsite alongside outdoor lights. The nook was the best spot on the property, imo! We'll book here again due to price, convenience, and hospitality! This location is merely minutes away from a small town with a Walmart, publix, and plenty of eateries. Also, conveniently located next to several springs! Best breakfast place is Purple Sage and best dinner we had was Swampys!! Well, what are you waiting for?!

May husband and I and Yorkie had a great time..Arcadia was wonderful he is there for whatever you needed..we enjoyed the outdoor movie he set up for us ..we made a nice fire and had a cook out .also loved the animals were adorable we took a walk to see them all. The bed was so comfortable we had a great night sleep was so quiet ..yes we would stay again..

Very private and secluded. We had lots of fun. Friend watching a movie outside on the projector , roasting marshmallows by the fire , playing with the animals. A very much hip camp vibe ! We enjoyed it and will be back again !

Arcadio was super helpful upon arriving. He helped us switch campsites with such ease to one that would be more suitable for the amount of people we had and gave a timely refund for the one we didnā€™t use. The land itself is great, too. There are fire pits, chairs, and tables provided in great condition. Plenty of firewood spread around. And a lot of animal noises (farm and wildlife) that made the trip feel like camping. Thereā€™s also a great swimming area like 7 minutes away Arcadia told us about.

The location was easy to find. Arcadia and his wife were absolutely welcoming and accommodating. The lots are spacious, easily accessible as well as comfortable. All and all a very charming experience I would definitely recommend! 10 out of 10! Donā€™t forget to ask Arcadia where to catch raddest sunset! šŸŒ…

I really enjoyed camping with my family here. The people that run the campground even went out and hit a whole bunch of eggs around the campsite so all the little children can do an Easter egg hunt when they woke up in the morning. The Host that runs the camp is an awesome person and treats the campers with the utmost respect. I will definitely be coming here in the future with my family for future camping trips.

We had a great time at Happy Campers Rescue Ranch! The animals were such a joy to visit with! They really loved apple slices and carrots ā˜ŗļø Other than the amazing animals, the other thing we loved so much about this campground was how quiet it is. So peaceful. The stargazing was incredible. They provided our personal outhouse, chairs, solar lights, and fire pit.

Good experience for a rustic camp spot. Arcadio's land is quite and the camp spots in the back were secluded enough but still close to the house if we needed anything. Arcadio is very friendly and helpful. If you're looking for an inexpensive place to camp for a few days, and don't mind "roughing it", then give it a try! Oh...also the location worked for us to go to Rainbow Springs (15 mins) and Crystal River (30).

The good: Property nice! Animals adorable! Host kind and present! If you have a dog and would prefer to be somewhere without a ton of other campers, this place works great. Needs improvement: -The "eco toilet" was literally a bucket with a bag in it, situated directly next to where you're camping. It was placed in a kind of lean-to (3 sides had slatted wood where you could see through the gaps, the 4th side was completely open but for a broken shower curtain). Zero privacy, zero toilet paper, and zero effort put into making it an appropriate and comfortable place to go. -The "shower" was a garden hose that's supposed to hang above the lean-to, directly above the sh*t bucket. Um, no thank you. I just stood in the yard and soaped up in my bikini while my boyfriend sprayed me down with the garden hose attachment hahah. Seemed more hygienic to me lol. To be clear, I have plenty of experience with bare bones living, including backwoods camping (google Temagami Thunderbox) and WOOFing on properties with actual eco toilets and solar showers made from natural and recycled materials, so when I say these facilities need improvement, it's not that I don't know how to "rough it." To end on a positive note: The other spots on this property looked good. And while I don't think this site should be listed right now, with some very simple improvements to the "facilities," I could recommend it.

We loved his rustic trailerā€¦ Arcadio was amazing , very accommodating and helpful! He helped source wood for us even though there was plenty of dead wood to cut for yourself. And we enjoyed a movie night followed by s'more's that he sourced for us as well! Weā€™ll be back!

These guys are excellent hosts! Everyone was friendly and laid-back, as well as super accommodating. The pig was super sweet, Thomas the turkey kept us great conversational company, and the goats were adorable.

We truly had the best time camping here, Arcadio was so nice and helpful especially when we got our car stuck šŸ˜­ the stars are beautiful and its very private, i especially loved the animals. 10/10 would recommend

Arcadio is an amazing host! He ensured everything in our camping trip was amazing and even told us the storyā€™s of all the rescues on the land! We loved seeing Wilber the pig and Thomas the turkey! I would recommend this place to any campers!

my family & i have been tent camping, traveling all through the state of florida w rainbow springs state park being last on our list. we came across arcadio & his property & there was a camper to rent too!? we thought PERFECT - it's just a 15 minute drive to the swimming/kayaking area! we had add ons such as eggs, firewood & a movie night. wood was there upon arrival, he walked the eggs over when we got there & the movie night was a hit w the kiddos! we were traveling w a 120lb doggy & him being off leash was an option. arcadio is such a kind, laid back dude that strives to make your stay as comfortable as possible! anytime we had an issue he was on site within a couple of minutes ready to problem solve. our site was right across from the playground, so the kids were free to come & go from there. everyday they looked forward to taking our fruit scraps to wilbur! (the piggy) beautiful sunrises & sunsets, handy outdoor shower, fire ring was perfect for our cooking needs too. thank you for having us; we hope to be back some day 10/10 recommend :)
