I had an amazing experience at this campsite and would highly recommend it to others! The open space was perfect—our two big dogs had a blast running around freely. The mushrooms were delicious and very reasonably priced. Plus, the location is fantastic, with several beautiful springs nearby. Tammy and her husband were wonderful hosts, making our entire spring break truly special. Can’t wait to come back!

This 16-acre RV camping spot is a hidden gem, surrounded by the stunning Ocala National Forest. The hosts are amazing and incredibly welcoming, always making you feel at home. The property is beautifully maintained, and it’s the third time we've booked here – we absolutely love it! Enjoy scenic trails for dirt biking, or hiking the Florida Trail. You can visit the nearby Salt Springs, known for its crystal-clear springs. With rivers and lakes close by. A perfect mix of nature, adventure, and warm hospitality!

Most excellent, easy to to get in host waited on the road for us . lead us in , full hookup, in the morning gave us a tour of the farm, our dog had the best time, she didn't want to leave after 2 days. We had the place to our selfs . ok no cell or internet but we like that. Next trip that will be a last stop, the shrooms we bought 1/2 were eaten on the road , not enough to share when we got home.

Spent a quiet peaceful evening in Shan and Tammy’s farm. Ground was level and full hookups are a huge plus. Shan was very informative and pleasant. He was around but not invasive at all.

We had a great experience at Golden Oaks farm. I highly recommend taking a shot trip to Odd Todd’s for some “fresh from their farm” Mexican food. We bought some delicious fresh mushrooms that Shan grows personally at Golden Oaks and the detailed tour of his growing operation was one of the highlights of our trip. The site is very quiet, peaceful and well kept. I look forward to another trip to Tammy and Shan’s special farm in our near future!

I booked both spots and my daughter and her family camped with my husband and I. We had a wonderful trip. It was very close to Salt Springs and we had a fun day with the grand daughters playing in the water. Shan gave us a tour of his mushroom operation and we bought some delicious oyster mushrooms that we sauted for dinner. There’s lots of trails to hike close to the campsite without having to leave the site. I would recommend this spot for anyone who wants a relaxing, clean, friendly and fun experience. Quiet site and we were the only ones there for two nights. Water and electric provided, fire pit available. This was close to the places we were visiting and worked out great for us. Hosts were great, friendly, and helpful.

We made a last-minute booking and arrived after dark. The host was quick to respond & met us in the driveway, escorted us to our pad, showed us what we needed to know and then left us to it. Place was extremely peaceful and spacious. Only there for one night, but a very enjoyable stay: would absolutely recommend & return if in the area.

We enjoy coming here. It’s quiet, beautiful and we are the only folks out here. Always buy a box of mushrooms and they do not disappoint. Spent a lot of time enjoying the property. Really didn’t adventure away as much this trip. We will be back!

This was a perfect spot to bring our side by side to try out a new toy. We were so close to the trail system. At night, it’s absent of light pollution so completely dark for stargazing and a big campfire. We rented both spots for full privacy and no chance of other dogs disturbing us or our big boy. So glad we did as the #2 hookup is right up next to #1. The host was welcoming and waiting for us to arrive, and led us to the 2 spots. The hosts don’t live on site, so very private at night, but they have a working mushroom farm feet away so we saw the owner working and walking around the property both weekend mornings. Very friendly folks!

Always a pleasure to visit one of our favorite Hipcamps! Loved roaming the property with the dogs with easy access to the Florida Trail. Great place to view the stars, nice and quiet. And always the freshest mushrooms!

This is our third visit to Golden Oak, Tammy and Shan have created a great spot for camping including electric water and sewer With 2 spots, each with a firepit, and the Ocala National Forest surrounding the property Golden Oak makes an ideal get away. If you are lucky, and there is availability, make sure to pick up some beautiful organic mushrooms at the farm. Do note that T-Mobile has zero coverage in the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tammy and Shan's gourmet mushroom farm. Tammy was very prompt and helpful in responding to emails. Shan is on the farm daily and provided a tour of the mushroom growing process. We arrived after dark and Shan met us at the gate and guided us to our site. The ground was level and the view was lovely with a combination of open fields and large shade trees with a hammock. Our dogs enjoyed walking the farm property and trails into the adjacent National Forest. It was quiet, peaceful and close to activities and our friends. We highly recommend this property.

Very nice quiet place. Perfect for campers and rv. Tammy was very helpful and responded quickly to any questions. Her husband who frequently visits the site to tend to his mushrooms etc was very nice. I would definitely stay here again

Great communication from Tammy and Shan.
We arrived after dark and left early, so didn’t get to enjoy the property much, but it was easy in, easy setup and easy out.
Beautiful night - tons of stars.

Full Hook-ups with no issues
Shan and Tammy were wonderful hosts and have a peaceful and beautiful beautiful piece of property. My 2 dogs loved enjoyed it more than I did.
Includes fire pit and motion sensor extendable flood light if needed.
They provide a nice informative list of places and facilities, and things to do near by and around the area. And plenty of hiking trails right outside the property into Ocala Forest.

Tammy and Shane were amazing. We booked last minute to evacuate for hurricane Debby and they were able to accommodate our last minute booking. Upon arrival Shane met us at the gate, guided us to our spot and made sure we had everything we needed. Tammy checked on us after the storm and was very accommodating to any needs we may have had. This is a very secluded quiet spot with easy access to the main road. We really wish we had more time to explore the property and hike some of the trails. If we are ever in need again we will be sure to book this spot again.

The host was very accommodating and met us at the gate to check-in. Loved the printed info sheet with local recommendations and tips for the property. We didn’t have the time to explore the property or surrounding forest, but did get to see some large birds, maybe sandhill cranes, the next morning. Would love to stay again and try some of their mushrooms next time!

Very close to salt springs. Campsite was great with full hookup and trees for our hammocks. A pair of deer hung out on site all weekend. We got a great tour of the mushroom growing process. Ate the mushrooms when we got home and they were delicious.

What a great spot at Tammy and Shan’s property. So peaceful and quiet! Shan met us and guided to our spot, which was awesome in the middle of 13 acres. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves and it was pretty magical. Lots of trails off the property leading into the Ocala National Forest, beautiful stars at night and impeccably maintained. We were fortunate enough to check out Shan’s mushroom operation and get 3 kinds of absolutely delicious mushrooms. We made a big beef and mushroom stew over the campfire which was fun! Our dog had a blast running around.
One highlight was a visit by a rather large black bear the first night! He came out of the forest and sat for a few mins to check us out. Then he lumbered off back into the woods. We saw a ton of bunnies and many different birds.
We are already planning to come back again! I can’t thank Tammy and Shan enough for sharing their property with us and for teaching us so much about mushrooms!

Nestled amidst beautiful landscapes, our recent RV camping experience on private property was nothing short of serene. The secluded location provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality by the property owner, who guided us to our spacious camping spot. The site was well-maintained, with ample space for our RV, has fire pit, offering everything we needed for a comfortable stay. 2 RV sites next to each other.
the private property setting allowed for a more intimate camping experience. With one more camper around, we enjoyed a greater sense of privacy and freedom to explore the area at our own pace. Additionally, the absence of crowds meant less noise and more opportunities to connect with nature.
The property owner was incredibly accommodating, providing us with helpful tips on nearby attractions, restaurants & bars and ensuring that we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. Their attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction truly enhanced ours camping experience.
Just be aware that if you have TMOBILE you will not have any service at all. ( we enjoyed the forceful disconnection)
