Gem in South G-ville!

Excellent location for a trip to Gainesville! Don't let the dead end fool you, it opens into a huge yard with ample room to maneuver. Upgraded milled pavement pad, really easy to get set up and level! Excellent water pressure, 30amp service so bring your dogbone if you have a 50amp trailer like we do. Easy to access sewer hookup as well. This is our fourth stay at Betsy's place and we absolutely love it. Great host very welcoming, it's just a delight! If you're coming to Gainesville to visit and you like to drag your own house with you this is the spot I can't recommend enough!

It is so peaceful and close to things. I was able to ride my scooter to downtown Gainesville with no problems. And the other direction on the trail is just beautiful. Perfect for relaxing. And the dog loves it too!

My "go-to" camping spot whenever I am in Gainesville. Private, quiet, spacious, close to nature, the downtown, and UF. My third stay. I had to modify this reservation. Betsy was prompt with her communication before arrival and during my stay. Appreciate the convenience of a FHU and opportunity to recycle and compost. Noticed improvements to gravel pad and fencing! As always, greeted with a 6-pack of beer from First Magnitude. I took advantage of the electric scooters available for campers. Scooted to a Wildflowers Yoga class, explored the Gainesville-Hawthorne trail, visited The Lynx Bookstore, and enjoyed my meal at Humble Wood Fire Pizza. Checkout Depot Park and Heartwood Soundstage. Will be back in the fall!

We loved camping at Betsy’s home! It was beautiful, spacious, clean and peaceful. Betsy was so kind and welcoming and she taught us how to use her scooters. We scooted all over UF campus and had the best time!!!!

Betsy‘s land right next to her house is very peaceful and beautiful lots of gorgeous trees and green grass. Betsy is a very gracious host. We had a big rig and it was a little difficult for us to get in. We have a 20 foot freightliner and a 40 foot fifth wheel. I was so impressed that my husband was able to get it into her backyard. Getting it out was much easier. Lots of activities to do near where she lives. Quiet street only six neighbors.

Betsy is an above and beyond host. She provides an RV site with full hook ups. The site is in a large fenced in field. The Gainesville Hawthorne multi purpose trail access is only a block away. Drivers at most road crossings are very attentive and slow down when they see people at the crossings, getting ready to cross.

Betsy's property is fantastic! This is our third stay here and we love it. So close to all the places we want to go. City Parks, Paynes Prairie, and breweries! It's a great place to spend a weekend or a week! The property is a beautiful little slice of nature on the edge of the city. 30amp service, good water pressure, and sewer are easy to locate and connect to. Oh, and Betsy is an absolute treat, so nice and pleasant! You won't regret booking here, I am already planning our fourth trip!

What a pleasant surprise! We loved everything about our stay. Betsy was such a kind and wonderful host. The setting couldn’t be more beautiful. The deer that visited were an added bonus. The location was also perfect, right around the the corner from a fabulous coffee shop (Afternoon Coffee), wood fired pizza, a brewery and more! Couldn’t recommend Betsy’s place enough. We will be back!

Private, quiet oasis on dead-end road adjacent to the Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail and within walking distance to Depot Park, Cade Museum, and downtown Gainesville. Shared the site with deer frolicking and birds singing each day. Excellent communication with host before arrival. Host is available on site, if necessary, Greeted with six-pack of beer from First Magnitude Brewing Company. Host also offered electric scooters for transportation. Stayed at Downtown Nature Retreat twice in the past month....and would say again whenever in Gainesville! Highly recommend! Check out Paynes Prairie Preserve. Visit Humble Pie, Grand Scheme Brewing, Lynx Bookstore, 4th Street Food Court, and Karma Cream.
