I loved car camping here! There are roofs you can park under that allow you to keep your windows down even if it’s raining 😃 Plus they are metal and sound pretty too. The property was well maintained (including the bathrooms) and they were working on future projects without disruption to the campers. The camp hosts, Ariel and her husband made me feel very safe as a solo traveler and welcomed all my questions. If I am ever in the area again, I would stay here for sure.

It is a nice campground! Some sites woth Full hookups ( ours) and some without. 2 pretty ponds to walk around. It you love to canoe or kayak, there is a wonderful boat ramp to the Chipola River. Though the sites are rather close together, it was very quiet. Also there is no shade. Nice vibe. Fun to visit the town on the Dead Lakes ( I cannot even attempt to spell it!) Also easy to. visitPort St. Joe and Cape San Blas. ( Dog friendly beach)

Campground was great, unfortunately the city doesn't take great care of the facilities soif you need them plan accordingly. Great spot for fishing!

Dead Lakes was so peaceful, and beautiful! Just enough outdoor lighting to find your way, but no so much as to interfere with stargazing! We were able to peacefully car camp, with access to bathrooms at all hours. The bathrooms were clean, and well stocked! The property was just beautiful!!

I've stayed here twice now and I will say under the new management it is a complete 180 from last time. The park is actually kept up with. They were having a farmers market when we showed up. It is super quiet and priced fair. Only issue is they double booked my spot but they had it taken care of within minutes.

Hosts were super accommodating, easy to find park - quiet and serene!
Dead lakes are dead. There was no water in the lake, could be seasonal but no heads up. Photos online must be 20 years old. What a dump. This place charges premium price for minimum effort. Office was closed earlier than advertised, confirmation didn't include a lot number, entire place was run down and poorly maintained.

Highly recommend this RV Park and Campground the camp hosts are excellent nice facilities and they even have a camp store real peaceful had a real good night sleep and beautiful spot to look at the stars
