Cabin At Little River Springs
Overall, we were quite happy with our stay! The short walk to the spring was a lovely bonus. However, it's important to have a plan for your trash and waste, as the nearest dump site is over 15 minutes away. The campsite itself is very visible from the road and resembles a long driveway, which made showering and using the bathroom a bit awkward.
We noticed that the porta-potty appeared to have not been serviced in some time, so we opted to use our own camp toilet instead. The cabin tended to get quite stuffy during the day, and the windows don't have screens. To get some airflow, we kept the front door open during the warmer parts of the day. Unfortunately, the screen door on the small patio was only held in place by tacks and fell off during our stay.
On the last night, the temperature unexpectedly dropped into the 30s, so I was grateful to have some extra protection from the elements.

Overall cute lil spot but overpriced for what you get in my opinion. The nearest dumpster to throw away your garbage is 15 minutes out, so make sure you have a game plan for your trash if you're arriving in a sedan like I did. Couldn't use the porta potty because of its condition (I know I was taking a chance of it not being serviced in a while, luckily I brought my own bucket). Also, plan for not having ventilation in the cabin. There's a little solar powered fan that was great until it ran out of power. We did not attempt the air conditioner / generator so can't say anything about that. Having to camp this primitively and paying the amount I did was a bit disappointing but I still had a good time with good company.

Ryan was so accommodating and very easy to reach. Clean campground with beautiful nature. Love that you can walk to the springs. So thankful for the generator too! He even left us a bin of possible things we would need which was so thoughtful. I would recommend this for sure, but just bring a tarp for underneath tent and some good padding for sleeping. Ground is gravelly and hard. Overall, great spot, though

We had the best time at this campsite! We went in July and it was very hot so we all slept in our hammocks most nights and it was lovely. Plenty of space to set up tents or hammocks. The little cabin is so cute! Ryan has provided a generator and a full tank of gas for it also. The generator did work for the AC in the cabin but we spent most of our days at the springs so did not run it for that. We ran it every night for a few hours to charge our phones and lights. We stayed for 6 days and ran it for maybe 3 hours each night and still only used about $15 worth of gas so it was really efficient and a very nice touch. The springs were beautiful and a short walk down the road or through the woods. The neighbors have a nice little compound and were very friendly, but you could not see them through the tree line at the property so it was still very private. There is tons of beautiful wildlife in the area. There were a lot of armadillos around the property so that was fun to see. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Great little spot. It’s primitive camping with a shack of sorts. I’m a backpacker so this was a step up from sleeping outside. I didn’t use any of the items there (including the porta potty) so I can only speak to the space provided. Suggest you bring some hot shot or raid to kill any bugs. I only saw 1 very large water bug and a wasp. Wished I had some.
The generator and AC setup is also a challenge. Not the owners fault. He tried to explain usage. (Though some sort of laminated sign with instructions would help.) We were able to get it on and cool the room down. After that we slept with the fan on and windows open. It was fine even mid summer. Seeing and swimming in the little river down the road makes the whole experience!

This is a great, spacious and fairly private campsite. The little cabin is super rustic and perfect for sleeping in air conditioning and away from the bugs. It has a tiny screened in porch you can chill in too. We made campfires every morning and night, and cooked over the fire. The campsite has a picnic table and a lock box with some extra items. We brought our boat and a paddle board, and hung hammocks in the trees. The town of Branford is a short drive away and has a decent grocery store, some restaurants and a nice boat launch. You can easily walk through the woods behind the cabin to reach the river and the Little River Springs. Boots recommended, as there's snakes and brush. We had a lovely time and would recommend it! 💚

Horrible, let me just start with that. I mean, the spring it was close to was amazing— a beautiful spring— and being that close was nice. The owner had the right idea; it was a cute setup but so overpriced for what it was. I paid $100 to stay here when the listing said $45 only because I had more guests, but it didn’t affect how we used the site at all. On top of that, the listing promotes a cabin getaway, but in reality, it’s just roughing it camping for $100. The generator for the AC didn’t work; there were no lights inside or outdoors at night, and when I called the owner to try to get a discount since he was unwilling to come and fix the issue, he told me I was free to leave and find somewhere else to stay, but I already drove 1 hour and a half to get there. It was the middle of nowhere, so there weren’t any hotels, so he offered me $20 off. So I paid $80 to sleep in a tent on the ground because it was too hot in the cabin, no power, nothing, so really the discount wasn’t much help. Maybe it’s my own fault for not leaving when I should’ve, but in reality, the camp should have been what was listed and what we paid for.

My husband and I stayed at this place and we both enjoyed it. It is a very private campsite with a johnny house and a shack that has a generator you can turn on to run an ac unit. We brought cots and sat them up in the shack so we could sleep in some ac. We brought our fourweelers and drove them around on the dirt roads all around the campsite. We brought our kayaks too and kayaked on the Ichetucknee Springs State Park River, we also kayaked on Aligator Lake. Every morning we walked to the Little River Springs to swim. We also went to Troy Springs to swim. Troy springs has an outdoor shower that we used because even though this campsite does advertise having an outdoor shower, it does not. I've gotta add that the shack doesn't have a working door handle, you have to put a lock in the holes to keep the door shut. That can get annoying when walking in and out a lot. My only real complaint is that there was a large box of trash left in the shack. It was trash from the owners installing a solar powered fan on the ceiling. Other than that, I think this place was great!

We had so much fun during our stay. We brought some mattresses & slept in the wooden structure. The fire pit was great for cooking & it was a 1 min drive to the springs. The only downside was that we couldn’t get the generator to work, so we had no AC. Thankfully it wasn’t too hot at night, so our battery operated fan was good enough. We let Ryan know about the generator not starting & he kindly refunded us for half our stay. Would definitely recommend this site and Ryan as a host.

This is an amazing site. The cabin has plenty of room and is very secure. The drive to the site was straightforward and the directions from the host accurate. Accessible by any vehicle. I definitely plan to return and bring the pup.

Cabin At Little River Springs
This campsite was great and super close to Little River Springs. Although it has a port-a-let and the Little Cabin, it still had somewhat of a primitive and private feel which was nice. We would definitely come back!
We do have some info and tips for future campers.
* If you’re gonna have a group of people, plan for everyone to tent camp. The Little Cabin has an AC wall unit that runs off a generator that is super loud. Too loud for everyone else in tents to sleep well. We would have left it off, but the windows to the cabin are plexi-glassed, therefore no air flow. The windows do open fully, but then you’re dealing with bugs. Luckily someone in our group had an extra tent for us.
* The site is right off a road which is used often and close to a cow farm, so be prepared for some noise at night outside of the normal music of nature. This only applies to tent campers as the cabin’s generator drowns out all sound.
* If you bring your pups, the Little Cabin with the AC wall unit is great for them to hang out in while you go to the springs, but be sure to go back often to check on them as the plug on the generator kept tripping. Even on Low Cool, as the host suggested.
* The port-a-let gets cleaned every two weeks, so bring something like kitty litter deodorizer to help with the smell. We used mosquito coils as incense lol
* PLEASE take your trash with you when you leave. The campers before us did not and the flies and smell was awful. Be considerate and take your trash.

What a cool spot! It was fun camping on the edge of the river next to a quiet local spring. We based out of here and spring hopped with our two little boys. After our daytime adventures we’d clean up via spring and a bar of soap. Good times and will be back!

I loved the little cabin, it was so relaxing and secluded. The camp host Ryan was very respectful and fast when responding to any questions we had upon arrival. Will definitely be back throughout the year to do more exploring at the nearby springs less than a 5 minute walk from the cabin. For the location and amazing price you can't beat it.

We had a great time here. Make sure to either bring an axe or firewood with you. There are huge logs available, but nothing to cut them with to fit in the fire pit. It’s a short walk down the road to the springs. Very sad it was flooded due to some storms so they weren’t their usual crystal blue.

Me and my family had a great time camping here. It was the perfect site as I was able to sleep in the cabin while the boys slept in the tent nearby. I also really enjoyed how close it was to the springs and how peaceful the area was. The host was super quick to respond to questions and the directions to get there were very clear. We will definitely come back.

Cabin At Little River Springs
The mini cabin was perfectly quaint and tidy. Literally a mile or less to Little River Springs and a short drive to the other area springs. The site is quite beautiful, with large oaks and a fantastic view of the stars since there is little light pollution. You can also walk about 1/3 of a mile behind the campsite to reach a little stretch of beach right along the river. You do need to hike through some shrubbery, but our 9 and 11 year old kids, plus our dog, were able to do it with no problem. I would just recommend pants or boots. There is a gas generator available with a wall a/c fan unit, but you would need to bring a space heater for chilly weather. Ryan has left several extras, like a coffee pot, wet wipes, and toilet paper to name a few things in case you forgot to bring something. They also treat their guests with a park pass which was a nice extra. Ryan was also very responsive to messages.

Great spot! Had a great time bringing the dogs with us. Small walk to the springs from the back of the property. He had a lot of basic camping amenities that I feel a lot of places dont have, along with a couple kayaks. We only stayed a night to just get of the house, but easily could make a day of just paddleing on the river. Definitely would have used the generator in the summer months. Plenty of fallen wood to scrounge around for, and a really nice firepit. Definitely would book again.

Cabin At Little River Springs
We had a great stay at Ryan's place. We are currently full time rv'rs and we often utilize hipcamp for a little break from the constraints of more formal campgrounds. Ryan's property was a perfect spot for us to enjoy a little space and a little more freedom for our dogs. We loved exploring the woods down to the beautiful Suwannee River. The springs nearby were close enough to walk and if it had been warmer we would have loved to swim in this historic spring. We would definitely stay ay Ryan's place again.

Great place and host. Campsite was clean, and cozy. When we pulled up neighbors were having band practice with amp, drums, and electric guitar. They are very talented, though loud. If you’re not into concert level volume, bring ear plugs, just in case they’re practicing. The music stopped by 5pm, and the evening was quiet. The stars were so bright; beautiful night sky. I would definitely recommend this site. Hope to go again.
