Brenda was an amazing host. Not only did she greet me in the rain, she made sure all our needs were covered throughout our stay. The setting is gorgeous, quiet, well kept, and peaceful. Highly recommend!

This was a great site to camp out. The Host is very nice and showed us everything we needed to know to enjoy ourselves. We got lucky and we're the only people there so we had a whole woods to run through. It was nice peaceful and quiet. I will definitely be going back. My friends dog also had a great time running around and playing with all the space.

Brenda was very welcoming and helpful but also gave us our privacy. We were parked alongside a large shed and had a big backyard as well as trails through the woods to enjoy and walk our dogs. With water and electric hookups we were all set. Very quiet and peaceful which is exactly how we like it.

Great, secluded campsites - wooded, but near a farm field. Very private, lovely spot to enjoy some peace and quiet. Fire ring, chairs, table were all appreciated. Would recommend!

Deer Forest Hideaway
We had a wonderful stay camping here. Secluded and spacious sites on Brenda's 10+ acres made for a great first trip with our dog. We stayed at camp site #3 and decided to drive in. It would definitely be a decent walk to the site, but we made it just fine in our Toyota RAV4 and the route was clearly marked. Brenda was very accommodating and communicated very quickly to any questions we had. Will definitely stay here again anytime we are headed to the beach!

Probably the nicest true forest high canopy experience I have ever had. Very well spaced generous campsite. Trees are very high but there is flat farmland nearby that let's the right amount of light in on the side. Great tent parking with a walk. We drove all the way in which is more convenient but I would not try it in anything bigger than a suburban or a low profile sports car. Perfect for tent camping. People who like very private camping with community oriented friendly people. Real close to beautiful Trap pond and a great stopover if you are heading to the Eastern Shore

I booked the site to be able to camp at night and make day trips to the beach, the sign to the property was clear and we had the choice of the three campsites. Exactly what you would expect for camping! Very relaxing weekend and Brenda was so accommodating to anything we needed!

This was a convenient camp and Brenda was nice. We were the only ones there so we had the freedom to choose our site which was nice. Brenda drove us back through the sites to see which one we’d like and to see if our car could fit back there. I drive a smaller SUV and it just fit. So a bigger vehicles would have a really hard time making it through a couple of spots. The sites could use a little tlc but other than that it was private and nice

Brenda was a great host and very accommodating. The sites were large, far apart and It felt like camping in the wilderness. My friend and I hammock camped and the trees on our site were perfect. There was plenty of wood on the forest floor to keep our fire going on both days.

Stayed at campsite #1 and my tent fit perfectly on top of the platform. None of the other campsites were booked and the area has great privacy and was perfect for what I needed. Brenda was very kind and gave me a ride on her golfcart showing the trails and helping me decide about driving my car down the trails. My mazda fit and made it just fine. Great spot

Brenda was very helpful and responsive. The campsite was beautiful and felt very peaceful and secluded, despite being only a short walk from Brenda's house and the other campsites. As inexperienced campers, we felt very secure and this spot had everything we were looking for. I would definitely recommend camping here!

This was our second time camping at this awesome site! We chose site 3 for more camping space since we had more campers this time around. Its spacious and quiet!

We ran into some car trouble on the way back from a day at the beach,Brenda willingly helped us when we needed it and we greatly appreciated it

We planned a last minute camp out this past weekend and it was perfect. Brenda was great. She allowed us to choose our site once we arrived as we were the only guests that weekend. We stayed at camp 3 which is by far , the best site . It is situated in the woods and on the edge of a farmer’s field. The sites are quite spacious. Fortunately we were able to drive our car in but that may be difficult for larger vehicles. Brenda will provide a shuttle service in her buggy if you can’t make it back there. The sites are set back quite a way from her home so it truly feels like you are in the middle of nature. I would definitely camp here again.

Brenda was a great host! She was very welcoming - helped us bring all of our stuff to the site and lent us a tarp for the rain storm! Her property is quite large, so each site seems very private. A beautiful property, with nature and wildlife all around you! Thank you, Brenda for a great weekend get away!

Brenda was an awesome host! Id most most definitely stay here again. Its very private and peaceful. My fiance and I really enjoyed our stay.We wanted a little get away before the school year started since I work as a teacher.
We stayed at campsite 1 which has a platform for your tent,it saved us from the rain.I was able to drive to the camp site through the trails in my CRV and was able to get out when we wanted to go to the beach for the day.
Checked out with Brenda and talked about life and our stay. Again,this place was just what we needed for a weekend get away!

Brenda was a great host! Super sweet and her family seem really nice! Her property is large and you will have enough space for campers near you. Their were ticks we found because it is a heavily wooded area so cover up! but no matter that we still had a good time. The fire pit on our site was perfect and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. We took some photos a little next to the cornfield during sunset and it was amazing. You will need 4WD to get to your campsite as well!

Brenda’s place was quite nice. It was very quiet and tucked away nicely on her property to create good privacy! Brenda was a very gracious host and offered wonderful insight to the area. One of the things we liked best was her place was at most thirty minutes from the beach and there were copious amounts of backroads to quickly get you to anything of interest while avoiding “Beach Traffic”. 11 miles away down a back road that not a soul was on was DogFish Head Brewery which was a great tour and adventure. We also visited a very nice winery that was also less than 20 minutes away. We will definitely come back.

DO NOT CAMP HERE, ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE, RUDE MONEY-HUNGRY HOST, UNMARKED TRAILS, AND SEVERE DAMAGE TO YOUR CAR.
To cover my bases before spending $184 on a site (especially one with a cancellation policy that does NOT refund you a dime if you don't cancel 3 or more days before your check in day...who does that?), we messaged the host ahead of time to make sure we could drive into the site, especially since many in the area are listed as walk/hike-in & we had a car full of gear since we were coming from another Hipcamp site in CT - to which she said we could, & we quickly realized was a total lie. Show up & she shows my girlfriend & I around the 3 sites on her little 4 wheeler (all of which were empty, despite the app showing all were booked... red flag). Since this little 4wheeler buggie thing only had the driver & passenger seat, I had to sit in the back tiny maybe 4ft by 2ft bed that she almost knocked me out of driving crazy thru these backwoods. There are NO markings on the trails, no flags, paint, signs, etc. so obviously, when it was our turn to drive back there, we got lost. When we thought we made it back to the front, she comes FLYING towards us screaming & hollering that we have to turn around & go back the way we came despite absolutely no where for us to do so. She insisted that we could fit & would be fine despite the trails (or complete lack thereof) being several layers thick of muddy leaves, massive branches, & thorns scratching & scraping all sides of my brand new Hyundai Kona & almost ripping the cargo carrier off the hitch of my car. When we finally figured out where the site was (because she literally guided us there) she started complaining about how "no one else has had this hard of a time finding this place" despite maybe 10 minutes previous told my girlfriend that everyone else that had booked the other sites had just left that same day because they were having the EXACT same issues as us - its impossible to see where you're supposed to go, and ANY car or truck that drives back there will get stuck, especially with rain! (& of course, the lady was just outright rude!) To top off this mess, she had told my girlfriend "ill bring you some fresh eggs as a welcome gift!" then a little while later asked for her Venmo "to pay for them" - who does that?! After she left us at the site, we decided that staying wasn't an option because 1. we'd have to cut all our plans short (& ruin our vacation) to make it back before nightfall, since we cant navigate this in the daytime, night time would be impossible, 2. the trips in & out of this heavily wooded, uncleared "path" would extensively damage my brand new car with the amount of debris hanging around & on the floor (that could've easily been cleared had she cared enough to take the time to do so but was clearly too negligent), & 3. she admitted that she didn't really clean up, & had a very rude demeanor & attitude from the moment we showed up, despite us being very respectful & kind to her thru this entire debacle, & we really didn't appreciate the fact that we tried to voice our concerns & work with her to figure this out, & she just didn't care or want to help. So after driving 7hrs from CT to DE, at 630-7pm had to scramble to find another camp site (which in mid-June, prime camping season is not easy), & try to fly over there before the sun went down to set up camp with some light left. After finding a place, we somehow figured out how to make it back to Brenda's house & tried to calmly & respectfully explain our concerns once more & request a refund to which she very rudely, replied "I don't think so!" while smiling & laughing almost like she knew this would happen again & was almost banking on it, as it did with the other people before us. Obviously, I sent a message to HipCamp Customer Support, to which they responded that she said she had "offered us directions & a map" which is a complete lie, & had offered to let us park up by the house & bring all of our stuff back on the 4wheeler. Now again, this is why I messaged her to confirm this ahead of time and I would NOT have booked this if that was the case, since it obviously throws off the entire camping trip when we have a car & cargo carrier FULL of stuff, this would've taken minimum 8-10 trips & 2-3+hrs to bring all of the stuff over on this little 4wheeler buggie, THEN set up camp and have to call her up to give us a ride at 7am to get out of there and 10pm to get back every day? no way. To top it all off, HipCamp decided that they weren't going to refund me any money at all since "she did give us a map and directions" (again, BS - never happened) and would instead just give me a $32 credit. I will NEVER book on HipCamp again, and highly encourage everyone on here avoid using this bogus app and giving money to these skeevy, greedy hosts.

Brenda was most helpful, especially giving us a tip to use Wayze to get through Washington DC bridge traffic and using her hose to fill our tank after ours dragged on the pavement. Nice private spot behind the small barn, easy drive-around so no backing required. Peaceful. And Lightning the horse is extremely sociable!

I would like to get into backpacking and wanted a safe yet remote place I could go to practice solo camping with my dog. I am an avid camper but had never gone alone before. Brenda met me by her house (with her super sweet pup!) and took me on a tour of the woods in her UTV and let me choose my campsite. There are currently 2 campsites. One is more in the woods and the other is closer to farming field. I chose the one closer to the field so I could have more light. The trail is a little tight but I was able to get my Hyundai Elantra through the trees to the campsite as long as I took my time. The campsite was equipped with a fire pit, 2 chairs, and 2 stumps. Brenda gave me a folding table to use and even had farm fresh eggs for sale! My dog and I felt very secluded back in the woods but also totally safe knowing Brenda was just a text away. I would highly recommend this campsite (and Brenda as a host!) to anyone looking for a safe but secluded get away. There are also several state parks nearby for hiking, we went to Trap Pond and it was beautiful!

Brenda was great. Super friendly and helpful. The kids thought she was great. She helped us get our gear back to our site with her UTV. We stayed at site 3. Its near the edge of a field which we liked because you can get a bit more sunlight through the thick woods. Defiantly recommend and we would stay again if we were in the area.

We had a great time staying with Brenda at her Campsites near Georgetown / Bridgeville Delaware! The camp is easy to find with Google maps and there is a good sized HipCamp sign next to the best entrance of the Driveway to use to get to the tent camping parking . Its between her garage and stable . She has a beautiful full size horse and a mini horse that live in the stable. Brenda is an awesome hostess and made sure we were comfortable at our site. It was unusually wet during our visit and Brenda was a great help getting our stuff back to the site with her Polaris ATV with a cargo bed. You can get a smaller vehicle back to either site but I didnt want to try it with over 2" of rain the previous day. Its a pleasant walk back into the Deer Forrest Hidaway from her house and very secluded! We stayed at her site #2 that is in the woods. Site #3 is next to the farmer's field. The sunlight coming through the trees at sunset is stunning and we went out to watch it go down in the field. We saw over 30 deer in two herds enjoying the sunset with us! We had a lovely fire and enjoyed going to Rehoboth to bike around Cape Henlopen Park. We did an 18 mile loopgoing up by the canal to Lewes. We went back by the lovely Gordons Pond in the Park itself with a detour over to senic and historic Ft.Miles. We stayed an other evening during a rainstorm and it was very dry for a tent site with the tree cover and sandy porous soil. We rode the next day from Coolspring on US Rt 9 outside of Georgetown in to Lewes near the Library on Savannah Rd. A quick bite and an awesome European quality Expresso at The Station at Kings right by the trail helped us complete the 12 mile there and back ride. Brenda's awesome private campsites are a perfect staging area to get to the fun and recreational opportunities that abound in Lower Delaware. Brenda is an awesome hostess and we are looking forward to our next visit !

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Deer Forest. Brenda was a great host. Setting up our sight with chairs and a table before we arrived. Driving in firewood and our equipment for an easy setup. The chorus of frogs and herd of deer were beautiful. The star gazing in the field breathtaking.
A 45 minute drive to the beach made for a fun daytime activity. Thanks Brenda!
