Tim was an awesome host, super helpful shining an extra light when we arrived after dark to park the trailer. Quiet and peaceful property to spend a weekend, will be back. Thanks Tim!

Great views, but a bit misleading.

Overall the site was what we expected and had beautiful views! Tim introduced himself to us shortly after we arrived. The things we didn’t like so much were that the site was hard to get to since the drive up is all loose gravel and it is very steep, as well as we felt the toilet accommodation was poorly described on the booking site. The “toilet” is a camping shower tent with a bucket on top of some bricks. We ended up leaving early due to not only it being very cold, but also we did not feel comfortable using the “toilet” provided. Little extra note, there is no cell reception at all here, at least if you have AT&T. This is not very important as camping is usually an “unplugged” experience, but it makes finding your way around hard since you cannot use maps on your phone.

We loved staying on Tim's land. He was attentive and suggested places to go and see and the site was secluded but also has access to a community area. The scenery couldn't be beat.

Beautiful property...space was a little small as there was a car in need of repair as well, but Tim is working on having the car moved. We enjoyed the seclusion.

Will definitely go back!

Absolutely loved this spot! The small cabin is very comfortable & has everything you need in regard to chairs, cookware, etc. My only advice would be to be sure to know your way out because Google maps got me there easily but there’s no cell service so be sure to remember your way back. Beautiful lake & Tim was so helpful!

Very quiet, secluded, and away from people camp. 8800’ elevation, water, and fun hosts who host a communal campfire each night. Very dog friendly, abcs a fun return to our earlier tent camping days.

The camp exceeded expectations and Tim was an excellent host. Everything was available to keep someone with the camping spirit occupied. Got to enjoy stores by the fire next to a serene beautiful pond and took the canoe out to visit 'rock island' with the kid. Dog friendly and they might have had the best time of us all. Highly recommended

Yeti Unrepose!!

There’s a reason there’s only one picture of Yeti’s Repose, it’s a pond and an overgrown site with no views on the end of a long dirt road in the middle of no where. No what was advertised at all. Paid $100 or so for 2 nights and after finally finding the site, went and camped in a Walmart parking lot until we could find another site. Stick to recreation.gov.

My partner and I had a great time at this campsite. The first night we had the area to ourselves and it was super nice to see the bright stars. Time introduced himself and talked for awhile. Good guy. He got us more firewood when he noticed us struggling to keep the fire alive. There were two dogs who came to visit in the morning and it was sweet until one got mud everywhere and chased after our car when we were trying to leave. Great area and I recommend for anyone. I would camp here as a single woman even

Beautiful piece of property!

Idyllic spot with trees, a small lake and the solitude we were seeking for tent camping. We had some great conversations around the shared campfire and the host Tim was accommodating and full of stories. There are a couple local dogs that come to visit daily and get along with everyone! A little piece of paradise!

This place was beautiful, the lake is amazing and so full of life, wild flowers, up and lake view there was barely a mosquito to bother you. The location had small boats you could take out, the small lake makes it super easy and a great experience to try something you’ve been too nervous to try.

Definitely recommend this place. Tim is very welcoming. Missed him at check-in, but he came by later and we chatted for a good hour or so. Location is also a good spot, there is no signal, but town is about 20 minutes away and Woodland Park is about 30 minutes away. Right next to Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, which is one of Colorado's International Dark Sky Places. The hut itself is simple and rustic. Communal fire pit as well as canoes and kayak to use on the pond.

NOT OK 😡

The reviews sounded great... FAR FROM IT!!!🙉 We rented the cabin 7-30-25 for 3 nights. We left after 17 HOURS! Still surprised we stayed a night😲 The cabin smelled musky and wet. The floor consisted of old carpet padding and area rugs on top of that. The ceiling was cut open and exposed moldy insulation. The shelves, under the bed, and cubby holes were so full of stuff! We couldn't put your things anywhere. The rugs were damp. The top bunk was not a twin size. They had old bedding and old mattress foam up there to use will dirty blankets. The mattress was browned and very disturbingly dirty. INSTEAD of waking up excited to explore on our 31st ANNIVERSARY... we packed up and left!!!😢

Perfect day

Great campsite right by a quiet lake. We came to celebrate a birthday and had everything we needed — fire pit, flat ground for the tent, and peaceful nature all around. The view at sunset was beautiful, and mornings were calm and sunny. Perfect for relaxing, grilling, and spending time with our dog. The host was very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Would definitely come back!

Camping with animals!

I really enjoyed my stay at Tim’s camp. My favorite part was letting my dogs roam around and do their own thing. They got to meet other dogs and enjoy the lake. The campsite is good; it’s well-kept, easy to find, and clean. Tim introduced himself when we first checked in because he lives on the property. He was very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this spot to a friend, especially if you have dogs.

Host was super communicative and flexible, as we had to do a schedule change. The site where we stayed was on the hillside and there was plenty of room for 2 cars, 2 tents and a food tent. However, there is no picnic table so remember to bring a table with you, if you need one.
