Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Almost three acre lot with stunning Mountain views. Gold medal fishing just down the road. 15-20 minutes to Eleven Mile, Spiney Mt. and Antero Reservoirs. Also close to Mt. Princeton and Cottonwood hot springs. Surrounding towns are Hartsel, Fairplay and Buena Vista, Salida and Woodland Park. Great area for fishing, hiking, biking, kayaking and much more. Other things to note Spacious, mostly level, RV/tent pad for a couple RVs and/or multiple tents. Pet friendly spot with mountain views. Campers will need to haul out own trash as host is not in the area. No water, toilet on site. Currently no fire ring but feel free to bring or build as long as its cleaned/removed after use. Also, do not cut or disturb trees on property. There is plenty of downed trees and wood on property to gather. Hartsel Mountain Retreat
Kevin’s site was peaceful and quiet with a beautiful view of the mountains. We loved our night there and would definitely book again!

Hartsel Mountain Retreat
We booked this site really last minute on a Friday night when another Hipcamp didn’t work out for us. Kevin responded immediately to our questions to make sure our two campers would work well at his site. The site is spacious and great for kids and dogs. Awesome views. Quiet area. We had one suv pulling a popup and one Tacoma pulling a 23ft camper. We had plenty of room to get us both in and situated. We also ended up having to leave Saturday at 5:00pm for an unexpected family emergency. I didn’t ask him for a refund for that night but he refunded the night for us. So very kind of him.

Hartsel Mountain Retreat
Fantastic site - just off the highway but secluded in the trees. The views are great - both sunrise and sunset are lovely. It’s well maintained and the flat surface makes setup simple.

Hartsel Mountain Retreat
Amazing views! We had a great time. This spot feels quite secluded, though there are a couple neighbors nearby. We heard a couple dogs barking but they never came all the way into our spot. A neighbor shot a firearm a couple times and then we put a flag up the flagpole to make sure they knew we were there! No problems overall, the stay was so lovely. We would definitely consider coming back. Thanks!
