My family and I went tent camping on Shane’s land and it was great. The camp sites were far apart enough that it felt secluded, which we loved especially because we didn’t have to share a portal toilet. My daughter enjoyed seeing the animals in their animal sanctuary. Would recommend for small families.

What more could you ask for? Clear instructions and communication, amazing location on top of the mountain with sweeping views of the valley below. Peaceful surroundings, private and a host that made us feel very welcomed. Shane went above and beyond to help us when we needed assistance - a kind soul indeed. If you are looking for a great camping spot this is 100% a good decision. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. 10/10. 5 stars!

Avocado Vista Glampsite
Shane and Nicole’s property is sooo beautiful! We camped at the Glamp in the Grove site and it was perfect. There was a structure that was great for putting our tent in, an outhouse + handwashing station, two tables, two chairs, and a fire pit (that we paid extra for). Shane was also super helpful and responded quickly which was appreciated. Thank you for an awesome stay Shane and Nicole :)

We loved camping at Zephyr Mountain Avocado Grove. Instructions to the property were easy to follow and Shane lead us up to exact location once on site. The site was great and felt secluded. We really appreciated having a clean site, bathroom/outhouse, and little hand washing station. Walking the property with our dog was a great way to see some of the area and got to see the chickens and pigs. We would definitely recommend a stay here if you’re looking for a quick getaway or a longer stay!

Shane was a wonderful and kind host. The site is perched high up on the side of a mountain with beautiful valley and snowcapped mountain views. Our kids enjoyed seeing the chickens and pigs. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

This is one of the most breathtaking camping sites in Southern California. The spacious area allows for setting up large tents without any issues. The host, Shane, is incredibly friendly, responds promptly, and offers fresh organic eggs for purchase. I will definitely visit again!

Shane and Nicole's tent site is just what my son and I needed to relax and unwind away from urban life, from the beautiful sunset to energizing sunrise, to the peaceful quiet night of stargazing, the site never failed to deliver in quality! My son enjoyed meeting the pigs that live on the property, and even was invited to assist with duties related to their care.
You absolutely will need a 4x4 or AWD vehicle to make it up the hill to the campsite and I would venture to say nothing that has a large turning radius, as some of the turns are tight. Patience pays off however and once you make it to the top you will be blessed with a killer view!
Shane and Nicole are most gracious hosts and we're very attentive to our needs throughout the stay. I can enthusiastically recommend their site and needless to say we absolutely will be returning in the future!

Beautiful area! Everything was exactly as it was described in the listing, so be sure to read it thoroughly. The roads are a little steep, but my little Prius C had no issues going up or back down. Shane escorted us to the campsite and gave us a brief rundown before leaving us to it.
Be sure to walk down the hill to check out the chickens and goats — such a neat addition to the experience. You can definitely hear the coyotes partying off in the distance after nightfall, but there was never cause for concern. We were visited by a small rabbit, a pampered house cat seeking scritches, and a hawk. If you need an escape from the city, this place is great! There was even full cell reception the entire time for those interested. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

My group of six had a great time tent camping on Shane's land. We rented a 2 person tent from Shane that was already set up when we got there and driving up to the site was not too bad in our cars. I had a Toyota Corolla and it was fine going up the dirt roads. The large table that was at the site was great for our "kitchen" area and there was also a smaller table that fit us for eating. The morning before we left, we were able to walk around the property and look at all the animals they had which was an unforgettable experience. I would definitely recommend staying here and would love to plan another trip here.

I loved the views from this place, will definitely come back! I took my Volkswagen GTI and did fine on the incline, just go slow and watch out for the bumps; otherwise did totally fine. The place is great for hiking too, got a pretty good walk in the morning and got to see the cute farm animals they have. The roosters are far enough away that they do not disturb your sleep, it just sounds cool off in the distance. I actually went during a full moon and it was gorgeous, the fog came in early in the morning and it looks like I was above the clouds! The potty was close to the site and easy to use. I felt safe the entire time, peaceful and private. Great place!

Shane was very helpful, I ended up getting lost but it was my fault. I understand why they recommend a 4x4 but my 2x4 vanagon handled just fine with street tires. I will definitely be coming back!

Within minutes of receiving our booking confirmation, we received a welcoming message from Shane. He also provided great travel tips. On the day of the reservation, Shane reached out to get an eta to plan for our check-in.

We loved the privacy and security we felt at this site. Our favorite thing to do was watch the lights of the freeway from our spot way up on the mountain. Also, the patio cover is covered on 3 sides and blocked any sort of wind, which made the whole experience so relaxing.

What a beautiful spot in the middle of avocado trees with such a gorgeous view. We camped with a baby so it was a bit rough that the camp spot was not on flat ground, but the view made it worth it. Facilities are really helpful (shade and bathroom).

What a great place to stay! My family and I tent camped for one night, and Shane and his family made us feel so welcome! He met us at the top gate and lead us to our campsite for the night. The family also gave us a little tour of the farm and the animals. The view is spectacular from the Hilltop camping spot and we found the propane fire pit was well worth the rental fee. The dirt driveway was expectedly a little rough and narrow, but we didn’t need to engage the 4 wheel drive on our Wrangler. We will definitely stay again!
