First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude to Mac, the owner of the campsite. However, there were a few concerning issues that affected our stay.
The campsite was quite small, and the RV’s electricity kept shutting down due to outdated wiring. Additionally, there was evidence of old trash scattered throughout the area.
While we were taking our bikes for a ride, the neighbor approached us and threatened us. He claimed that we had trespassed onto a “private road” that had no sign indicating its exclusivity. He even went as far as to say that he had guns and would beat up my husband.
We were deeply shaken and apologized repeatedly, explaining that we were unaware of the campsite’s boundaries. Unfortunately, this incident occurred in front of our children, which made it even more distressing.
As if that wasn’t enough, John, the manager informed us that he had received a call from the same person. When we tried to explain the situation, he simply walked away, leaving us to continue talking.
This entire incident had a profoundly negative impact on our trip. It seemed that this was not an isolated incident, as we had heard that similar problems had occurred in the past, but unfortunately, no action had been taken to address them.
In light of this experience, we strongly encourage Mac to take steps to rectify the situation. This includes speaking with the individual who made the threats and installing a “private road” sign to clearly indicate the boundaries of the c
