Tyler helped prepped everything we asked for before we arrived and stayed in communication throughout the stay to help with our requests. The place itself is beautiful with places and animals to explore for the group.

We took a pre-school class camping at Tyler’s place! We really had a great time. The kitchen and bathroom worked great even though we had close to 30 people at max. The donkeys and cows were a huge hit. The property provided plenty of space to roam and explore so the kids had a great time. The hike to the creek was a bit more intense than we realized but the creek itself was great! Just a very big climb back to home. Overall both the kids and the adults had a spectacular time and we plan to come again

We had an amazing time at this fantastic campground! The location is beautiful, super private and peaceful, with lovely sunsets and sunrises. The stars at night were spectacular with no light pollution. Plenty of space for our group of four families to spread out, and the kids had a great time and loved the donkeys and Highland cows.
It was very helpful having a fridge, toilet/shower, gas fire, and camp stove on site. Tyler, the owner, was very helpful and welcoming. He met us when we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing, family-friendly place to camp!

We had such a wonderful stay at Tyler’s campground while celebrating a birthday with family! Tyler was an above-and-beyond host—so responsive, helpful, and thoughtful. The natural spring water throughout the property was so fresh and delicious, and we all loved meeting Banjo and Jenny, the donkeys, who greeted us with excited heehaws when we arrived.
When we realized we forgot a coffee grinder, Tyler came to the rescue, which made our mornings that much better. The waterfall was incredible, especially in the hot and dry weather—it was refreshing and absolutely worth the trek down, ripe blackberry bushes lined the trail halfway down providing a delightful pick-me-up.
We’d love to come back. Thank you, Tyler, for making our stay so special!

One of the best places for family or friends to gather. The campsite is private and peaceful, surrounded by stunning natural beauty. Tylar is a lovely guy—don’t hesitate to talk with him because he responds quickly and clearly to any questions. Unfortunately, I had to leave earlier than planned due to personal reasons, but I will come back again. Highly recommended!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at WCR! Great place for a group (we were eight). So quiet and peaceful, far from civilization, that you can truly enjoy stargazing. The facilities were great (who doesn't appreciate a full fridge with an ice maker while camping), and we all loved hanging out with the donkeys. Easy to prepare meals for a big group, and appreciated having both gas and charcoal grills.The "casita" on the property that Tyler built is great, with kitchen space (toaster!), bathroom, shower, and a hangout area.
Tyler was so responsive to any messages and provided a cell phone at the space, should you have any questions.
Definitely don't rely on GPS. Tyler's driving instructions in his message were key; it's a windy way up to the ranch, even with all of the signage for WCR that Tyler has posted. Be cautious and take your time when arriving after dark, given the windy nature of the roads.

Very nice camp spot for larger groups. Enjoyed the quiet space, nature feel, and amenities on site: plenty parking, fridge/freezer, toilet, shower, food prep area. The hike to the flowing creek is a bit challenging - suggest 4wd vehicle, but well worth it. We frolicked an afternoon through the creek with water shoes picking blackberries with our kids.

Campsite was great! Camping with potable water, industrial sink, toilet & shower is truly wonderful. Tyler is super responsive & a great guy overall. Zero complaints. Donkeys were fun too

Great secluded campsite in etched in the hills of Sonoma. Very private with our group and we enjoyed the bonus fridge and bathhouse amenities. The farm animals were a hit with the kids!

My wife and a group of our friends stayed at Tyler’s ranch for a weekend getaway. He was very responsive to any questions we had leading up to the trip and the location was amazing! Tyler left us some hay to feed his animals- we had a blast doing so. Would highly recommend staying here!

Tyler was a great host and his campsite is the perfect spot for anyone that wants to bring a group! Would definitely come back given the occasion. The amenities are really nice for camping for a big group. Kitchen area was great, bathrooms and showers are nice for people that aren’t too cut out for camping.

What a fantastic stay we had at Tyler's Wild Canyon Ranch! The facilities were more than I expected and made it so much more enjoyable. We had an RV fully loaded but the ability to have a real sink to wash dishes in a refrigerator to keep food in which was perfect because my RV refrigerator broke down the very morning we arrived. Tyler has some great stories about the place that are worth listening to. It was the most remote yet closest place I've been to in Northern California. You don't hear a sound other than birds donkeys and cows. The hike down to the creek was fantastic the water was flowing nicely and very cold! Very few get to enjoy this so I feel privileged to have been invited as a guest.

We had a great time camping at Tyler's ranch. The kids loved running around and feeding the cows and donkeys. The kitchen and bathroom were nicer than we expected and made cooking really easy. It's a beautiful, secluded spot, and Tyler is a gracious and very helpful host.

Epic spot. Tyler is great. Had a bunch of young families up for the weekend for our first annual neighborhood camping trip. Infrastructure on site is amazing. Really out in the wilderness here which is hard to find. No brainer! Will be back.

A little slice of heaven. You descend into a valley, flanked by vineyards and are greeted by Highland cows, donkeys, and a super friendly host. It’s a journey to get there (bring the 4 wheel vehicle) but so worth the trek.
The site itself is so well prepared. It was just a family of four but it is absolutely big enough for an event with lots of people. There is bath house with running water, sink, counters, a shower, and a toilet. There is a perfect fire pit to sit around late into the evening and stargaze at a crazy spectacular view of the night sky.
We brought our two little ones and they didn’t want to leave. They haven’t stopped talking about Mr. Tyler and his donkeys. We will be back and bringing friends.

I highly recommend WCR.
I planned a large group camping trip. We were about 33 people. Ages ranged from 1 year to 50. Most of the kids were 3-12 years old (and one baby).
Tyler answered all of my questions as we were planning our weekend. Good with communication, a plus.
Tyler’s directions once you get off the main road are great. Overall, the drive on the paved/ gravel/ dirt road through the hills and vineyard was beautiful and a little bumpy at times.
We ended up getting one porta potty but it didn’t need it. Had we been all adults (half of the guests were <12) then one toilet may have been challenging in the morning.
Most of us camped down in the shady camping spot (to the right of where you drive in) and it was shady the whole day which was good because it got hot and some kids had to nap.
The hike to the creek was fun and also steep. It’s a hike! I think it took us about 30-45 min to hike down? I would confirm w Tyler. Definitely bring water and food with you so you can enjoy the creek :) watch out for the poison oak on the side of the trail. Tyler is doing a big job of keeping it at bay especially around the camping area, but that stuff grows fast.
The donkeys were a huge hit with the kids and Tyler left hay bales for us to feed them with. So fun.
We made some great memories here. We’ll see if we can afford it again next time (it adds up with guests!).

We loved camping at this site! Tyler was warm and welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed upon arrival. He was responsive to my messages leading up the event. There was shaded camping a short walk from the kitchen/bathhouse. The amenities of a fridge/freezer, flushing toilet and shower made all the difference. We brought pop-up shade structures for our gathering area adjacent to the bathhouse, which I would recommend for warmer months. The creek was a major attraction, with cascading rock pools, the deepest about mid-thigh. We enjoyed walking along the creek picking blackberries. The hike back up to the campsite was a bit more strenuous than expected due to the elevation change, probably wouldn't be a good fit for small children or people with mobility issues. Overall, we had a fantastic time and are so excited to return.

Perfect campground. Lots of shade for many tents and picnics. The kitchen is useful and roomy. The shower with hot water is a huge perk. The grounds are beautiful, and if you don't mind hiking, then exploring the waterholes is so fun and refreshing. We spent a few hours in the water and it's with the hike! Couldn't recommend this more. So much better than other campsites!

We had a great time camping here with our dog! Even in the heat, the shaded camp stays cool and the hike to the stream and waterfall are also well shaded. Our dog had a great time meeting the donkeys and cows, and the campsite was nice and quiet at night. Tyler was super responsive and helpful, and we appreciated him stopping by to check that we had everything we needed. This is a hidden gem that may not stay hidden for much longer!

This camp is absolutely stunning! The grounds are private and spacious. They have a variety of terrain. Up top there is the covered open shed with a shelf for storage, kitchen counter (and a full freezer/fridge), flushable bathroom and even a very clean shower. There is a fire pit as well. During fire season, pit fires are not permitted, but the host has a nice propane pit that gives the feel of a campfire. There are 4 good sized picnic tables and a meadow with cows and a couple of donkeys. The stars at night are dreamlike. The hillside reminds me of Tahoe or Truckee. The host Tyler is very responsive and understanding. Down the hill there are 4 or 5 large shaded tent/trailer areas each with a separate water spigot. The tree shade was helpful for sun protection during the day and made lounging in a hammock possible. There is plenty of hiking. Recommend preparing well for them with good shoes and camel packs. The creek at the end...about 1 hour down is well worth the journey and the views are just breath taking. Beautiful and shaded along the hike. On the way back it is up hill for a good way, so pace yourself. We will definitely go again next year as it was probably the best camping trip I have had in years.

Excellent accommodations. Tyler has put a lot of work into prepping the place for visitors, including leveled out ground for tents, a large fire pit area, and a nice outdoor kitchen space for food prep and storage. The animals are fun, and there is plenty on the land to explore. The nearby trout farm was an excellent diversion for the kids on day 2. We’ll definitely be back!

Wild Canyon Ranch was just fantastic. Tyler was a communicative, friendly, and accommodating host. The setup was perfect for our group of two families with kids: having a sink, fridge, toilet, and shower was wonderful, the kids loved all the farm animals, the creek was perfect for wading, cooling off, and playing. And the Ranch itself is beautiful. Wonderful views of the stars at night, tons of space and areas to explore. We definitely hope to return. Thank you Tyler!

Loved our time on Tyler’s land! Having the fridge and bathroom were incredibly helpful when camping with little ones. Beautiful night skies and surroundings to boot. The animals were super friendly and our kids loved feeding them alfalfa and giving them pets. It was hot but the shady lower camping area kept us cool. We also had some serious car trouble and Tyler went wayyyy out of his way - above and beyond - to help us. He’s a super host!!

Our group had a wonderful time camping on Tyler's property. Tyler was super responsive and helpful with all of our questions. We had a lot of fun exploring the swimming holes and observing the animals on the property. The donkeys were friendly and the highland/longhorn cows were curious. One thing that wasn't clear to us from the listing but turned out to be an incredible amenity was the awesome bath/kitchen buildout adjacent to the campsite that Tyler had built. It included a fridge and a kitchen sink that made prepping lunch and dinner a breeze!

Tyler was a wonderful host, and the property has such a fantastic setup for families — we easily fit three large family tents, and the little camping cabin has a great shower, a clean(!) bathroom, and a full size refrigerator. Shade cover in the afternoon, and lots of adorable animals to interact with. Gorgeous location but plan an early arrival time because the mountain road is ... mountainy!
