Timber Cove Campground

Beautiful! Stunning sunset and gorgeous little cove right there under the campsites. I definitely recommend! It was small & private, serene, and the weather was perfect. Great hikes nearby. We weren’t sure if we had any particular guidelines to follow there as it seems we were the only ones, and there weren’t any messages prior to the stay, but everything was pretty easy to find regardless and we had whatever we needed.

Hidden Gem!

This is a hidden Gem! It was a peaceful place with amazing views. The restrooms were clean with paid showers. Brenda has quarters available if you need them. There is direct beach access from the camp and it’s somewhat of a private entrance. We truly enjoyed our stay and will be back Our host Brenda was great!

Peaceful Coastal Getaway

The point

We had an incredible stay at Timber Cove/The Point. The location is absolutely stunning, falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves behind us was unforgettable. The views alone make this spot special, but the campground also offers a wide range of amenities. We’re fully self-contained and didn’t need to use them, but it was wonderful knowing everything was available if needed. Brenda was exceptionally responsive and made us feel welcome even before we left home. The campground is also perfectly situated for exploring the area—Bodega Bay, Point Reyes National Seashore, Sea Ranch, and even the Redwoods were all easy day trips. We highly recommend this beautiful place and will definitely be back!

Charming!

This place is on a bluff looking over some of the most beautiful coastline in CALIFORNIA. I stayed at Bluff 10. Brenda came over and was very nice and accommodating. Even allowed me to move a picknick table to make more room to orient my small trailer in a better direction. If you are looking for KOA corporate or State park kind of thing it’s not for you. If you want a small and charming place with amazing views, it’s a hidden gem. The private cove was magical. You can walk 2 minutes and be in the cove at beach level. Sites are close together like almost every beach rv place which is totally expected. Some of the tent camping spots are actually on the private beach sheltered by cliffs on both sides to block wind! I see a couple bad reviews and I’m absolutely shocked anyone wouldn’t like this place! It was charming with breathtaking views. Restrooms were clean and so were showers. Several nearby restaurants and miles and miles of coast line to explore. Town of Jenner is amazing too. Thanks Brenda!

Tent camping here was wonderful. Sarah was very helpful and guided us to our tent site. She even gave us more space to spread out, and we had a private space all to ourselves. Very grateful for the experience. :)

What a fabulous location! I loved having the deck overlooking the ocean. Falling asleep to the sound of the crashing waves below was really special. I also appreciated how convenient the location is, right off the main road. Great spot!

Brenda was such an incredible host, she gave us hiking and dinning suggestions was super friendly and accommodating. The campground itself is as simple as it gets but do t be fooled, the views and proximity to the ocean make timber cove such an incredible place! I cannot wait to visit again! Thanks for everything!

We loved glamping in our 25' at site 7. Brenda was helpful in letting us change spots since it was open and gave us a bit more comfort room. Beautiful views of the coast, great area to hike in the redwoods. Would come again.

What a gorgeous spot! Very much near the highway which is quiet at night but the views and access to the nearby trails and ocean were sublime. Picnic table and fire pit were present. Brenda is lovely and has WiFi, keeps the bathrooms clean and area tidy. Make sure to bring quarters for the shower. There is no signal there. Brenda has wood in quarters if need be. Def would return

Disappointing all around

Very disappointing. We were so excited by the reviews and pictures and expected a lot given the high price ($250 per night for a single family campsite!). There was trash and dog feces at our campsite, the neighboring campers played loud music most of our stay, and the host was rude and a poor communicator. Would not recommend or return.

This was such a wonderful 2 days. The waterfall site is definitely the best, and shielded from the wind. Sites are very small but sufficient. Waterfall site is separated from the others which is an extra plus. Brenda was so nice and accommodating. We went on Thursday and was not crowded. Felt like a private beach. Not much noise from the highway at all. Definitely busier come Friday. There are people with day passes to launch boats, but they’re generally respectful and friendly. Only negative was 5am Saturday several vehicles came down to the beach (assume with day passes to launch boats). Would be nice if quiet time extended until at least 7am as they were quite disruptive. Still, did not impact our overall stay.

Camping with ocean view

This was our first stay at a private campsite, and we were surprised by how small the sites were. Since it was just my husband and me, we had ample space to relax. The soothing, constant rhythm of the ocean waves gave this place a truly serene and magical charm. The restrooms and showers were clean ($2 for a 4-minute shower), adding to the comfort. It’s an absolutely stunning location that left us enchanted.

Our time at Waterfall was lovely. It is great to be on the beach. There is a lot of action during the day as fisherman and day visitors are plentiful. Brenda was welcoming. It is rather bare bones camping...which I love...site says no portable water yet Brenda let me know the water is filtered and fine to drink. A plus!!! We would have appreciated it if we understood how steep the road was down to the site. That said, we had not issues negotiating. For those looking for a more rigid and sweet experience this is the place.!

Such a great spot! We stayed 2 nights and Brenda was extremely helpful and friendly during our stay. You’re basically like 10 feet from the water so make sure to bring the right tent! Our Coleman with a rain guard had moisture seep thru and we had to back up a bit from the water. Porta potty is clean and showers are a short walk up. Nothing beat the sound of waves at night, star watching, and seeing seals in the morning! Recommended you come in an AWD/4WD vehicle. Our Jeep Cherokee struggled a bit going back up the road. Or just park at the top.

Did not end up going because we discovered 5 days before that it was 20 minutes north of Jenner. Since it was listed as "Jenner" were expecting to be in the immediate Jenner-By-The-Sea area which is what people usually refer to as Jenner. Also read reviews about lots of people going through the campsite, and saw that there was no table or park bench and decided to do something else instead. Unfortunately we were too late to get a refund and Brenda understandably said that she could not do anything about it.

This was an awesome campsite. Brenda very kindly upgraded us to the Up Top space and we had a lovely view of the cliffs and ocean. The air smelled absolutely amazing and there were so many stars! There was plenty of tp and soap in the restrooms, and a potable water spigot at our site. We had a great time and would definitely go back.

Up Top

Another amazing stay at Timbercove! Highly recommend the Up Top spot. You have more privacy than some of the other sites and the views are incredible. Listening to the ocean waves day and night, it doesn’t get much better.
