I reserved two nights and I didn't get to spend one night her cause I was blocked by the local government!!! This placed is banned by the government for hosting camping and the host still open for taking new reservations, which resulted me driving 3 hours here and didn't get inside. The staff there told us they have talked to the host for few times and told him don't host any camping in his property but he didn't listen. There's only one road can lead to his property and that road was blocked only residents can enter, we booked this trip 1 week ahead we didn't get any notice, when we arrive there we tried to reach out to the host and they all ended to voice mail, I reached out to him on hipcamp still got no answer until now (before his response was really quick within an hour ) So the result is that we wasted 3 hours drove here and couldn't get in then we drove another 3 hours back. Just don't come here in case you ended up in the same situation too.

What a beautiful property for a weekend get away. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Our camp site had a stunning view of the river. We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend. We will visit again!

Glamping - Sunset Camp

Great camping right on the edge of the Tule River. There are plenty of spots that are super private that look over the river. We wanted to be close to the kitchen so we stayed at one of the glamping sites. Mehmet was as friendly and welcoming as they come. Chico, who led a two spirit ceremony at the temezcal while we were there, was equally fascinating and lovely. Sequoia knows everything about the plants on the land and tends to it with incredibly love and intention. Everybody we met was smart, kind and invested in having a joyful and peaceful getaway in nature. Very cool place that should be protected, respected and celebrated for all it holds.

Magical place

We absolutely loved camping at Mehmet's place. It is magical land made even more special by the roaring Thule river running through it (natural, built in AC), the warm hosts (Mehmet, Chico, Sequoia) and the animals we shared the place with - ponies, chickens, turkeys, Magic and Buffy the dogs and Scout the cat. We got lost wondering the land and loved it. The star gazing was beautiful. A couple of notes: 1. all roads to hiking in the area were closed (May 14) so check before you go if you want to hike. 2. it gets HOT (and it was only spring) so bring shade and plan to spend time by the river. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Magical spot next to the river

This campsite is perfect. It has lots of space, shade and is next to the river which means it’s sounds will lull you to sleep. Mehmet was very friendly and did a great job showing us around the property. Would highly recommend this spot.

Exceptional location with much thought put into restoration & sustainable use of the land. A large working residence with loving animals, and kind humans. We hope to stay again, when our adventures bring us back to the Sierras. Until then, we highly recommend this gem without hesitation.

Me and my family loved our stay at Mehmet land. My kids had a lot of fun on the trampoline and loved the river. Nice fire ring at night. We also bought eggs from their hens! They tasted awesome. We definitely will be back!!

River Bluff Site

THE BEST CAMPING TRIP EVER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! This place was MAGICAL, I can't believe we could only be there for one night - but it felt like a lifetime and another planet! HIGHLY RECCOMEND! You can also bring or rent a kayak and go to Lake Success 13 minutes away or head up to see the largest tree in the world (by volume) General Sherman at Sequoia National Park about an hour and a half drive north east. All LOVE our Hosts! I will return one day.

The land and campsite were absolutely spectacular for April camping! It was so wonderful to sleep under the stars and see all the lovely wildflowers along the paths! The platform swing under the oak was an extra special touch! Definitely hoping to make it back here next year!

Our hosts were more than accommodating and promptly got back to us with every question. We were the only ones there so it was great to have it to ourselves, my kids are six and eight and had a great time at the playground. We will definitely be back time and time again in the future.

The pictures don't do justice to the beautiful landscape, the rushing of the river and the peace that pervades the whole campsite. Mehmet has created a an idyllic environment to be at peace with nature - from the donkeys, chickens and dogs that roam the property, to the thoughtful decorations that highlight the grounds. Our entire family (+dog) enjoyed every moment of our stay!

Amazing host amazing place!! I can't seem to shut up about this place... Not only you wake up to this gorgeous view.. you can walk minute and bath in a river. The host has met us late at night, was super nice and showed us around the next morning. We met his donkies, chicks and even got some cool colorful eggs. We were with 6 kids and this place is heaven for kids and adults. I believe I will come again by myself so I can have this peaceful nirvana to myself !

What an amazing and inspiring property. Xico was a warm, welcoming and generous host. I felt welcomed to the property immediately, and felt like I belonged the entire time I was there. They really have a special location. The river is wonderful and fun, the scenery is gorgeous, and care they have taken with the land is obvious. I cannot wait to return, and would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to escape for a bit.

my fiancé and i will definitely be coming back and will bring a couple of friends next time! mehmet was extremely warm and welcoming. the whole property is absolutely beautiful and waking up to the sound of the river was so peaceful! crossing the river to get to the site just made the experience oh so fun! even though this time of year the weather is extremely hot…the water was so refreshing we never got out! cant wait to come again! thank you for your lovely hospitality!!

My friends and I loved this setting. Days were HOT but the short access to the River made the days not only bearable but FUN! Incredible night stars and the host Mehmet and his helpers were helpful, kind and flexible with us. Highly recommend!
