Pitch camp, settle in, and relax on our beautiful 5.5 acre rustic farmstead, nestled in the cozy hills of Aromas, CA! We are just minutes away from Highway 101, but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. Our property features sweeping majestic views toward the coast of Monterey and down toward Big Sur. The land features walking trails up toward a beautiful oak grove at the ridge of the property, and we are located about 15 minutes from the ocean at Moss Landing, and 30 to 45 minutes away from Monterey, Pacific Grove, Carmel and Santa Cruz. Our Gorgeous Grassland Tent Site features plenty of room to pitch a 4-person tent, or two 2-person tents. The site features a large private fire pit and drop-in grill, and a picnic table which can comfortably seat 4. Guests in the tent site also enjoy access to our brand new outdoor kitchen pavilion, with a fully furnished kitchen, and beautiful views of the valley.  We have a portable toilet for guest use, an outdoor sink with hot water, and a semi-enclosed “indoor/outdoor” shower with plenty of hot water and pressure.  Whether you’re passing through on a road trip along California’s majestic landscape, or looking to spend some time getting to know the lush landscape of the Central Coast, we welcome you with open arms! The site features a scenic view of the rolling hills, a tap water spigot, and a picnic table which can comfortably seat 4. Guests in the tent site also enjoy access to our outdoor kitchen pavilion, with a fully furnished kitchen, and beautiful views of the valley.  We have a portable toilet for guest use, an outdoor sink with hot water, and a semi-enclosed “indoor/outdoor” shower with plenty of hot water and pressure.  Whether you’re passing through on a road trip along California’s majestic landscape, or looking to spend some time getting to know the lush landscape of the Central Coast, we welcome you with open arms! This fully-furnished private Yurt features fantastic picturesque views of the rolling hillside and farm, as well as our budding food forest on the uphill side. The yurt features plenty of space for a party of four, a queen-sized bed, a comfy couch to spread out on, and a two-twin trundle bed if you need extra sleeping accommodations. The Yurt's propane heater will keep you cozy on those frosty winter nights, and a fan keeps the yurt cool for the warm summer days. Gorgeous Grassland Tent Site
Hosts were great and super friendly! The common dining area has some nice views, as it's up a bit higher, and is a good place to hang and chill - and decently outfitted for cooking. Clean composting toilet. Loved the chickens! Our site were probably about 50 feet from the trailers where people live on site, so it didn't feel super private, but we had a nice time and felt like we had our own space. The yurts were a bit further away and seemed like they might be a nice base to explore the area from. Our grassland campsite was pretty small - tight for two 2-person tents. I was somewhat underwhelmed by the site for the price ($120 after taxes/fees for a night) - the photos of the site were more impressive than the site in person. [As an aside: I wouldn't have dared to stay in the forest site - a ton of eucaluptus trees that feel like a an accident waiting to happen - eucaluptus trees are notorious for falling branches. I was pretty surprised to see a site situated up there!]

The tent site was perfect for two small tents, and a small walk up a hill from the wonderful community kitchen and firepit. The kitchen had hot water and was stocked with smores supplies and coffee cups. I felt very close to the hosts, which turned out fine. It's a small piece of property with large garden and animals, so it felt a bit like we were in their space. They, however, did not make me feel that way. Super friendly and even told us the history of the farm. Conveniently close to the beach!

Gorgeous Grassland Tent Site
This was a mixed experience. Some parts of the area were very pretty and what you would hope for from a camping experience, and some areas were full of old junk and in one case actual garbage. All of these pics were taken from the campsite.

Very cool place to take my daughter for first mini camping trip! We wish we could have stayed longer!! Emory was awesome to chat with and I even picked up some of crochet toys for both my daughters. Definitely want to check out the yurts for my glamper next time!

Our first ever yurt stay was so fun —the yurt was spotlessly clean, and the views were stunning! The land around it, though, felt neglected compared to the photos (overgrown, lots of dead grass). We were excited to explore and try the scavenger hunt, but the signs were falling apart. The yurt and views absolutely lived up to the photos. Definitely with some TLC, the whole thing could be amazing for future guests—it has so much potential! On the whole we are very thankful for our getaway. Sincerely hope they bring back the Terra Cultura scavenger hunt — what a great idea; my daughter would have loved it had it been operational. Thank you for the stay!

Couples Yurt in the Private Orchard
The yurt was clean and cozy. The heater worked so well and I loved having a kitchenette. The bed was very comfortable! We love the yurt. It is obvious how much love and effort is poured into it. Thank you! We loved the alpacas, the evening fog in the Eucalyptus trees and the cat. We found the compost toilet to be more comfortable than we thought as well.

We stayed in couples yurt. Really a sweet little yurt packed with all the facilities we could think of. The trundle bed had good mattresses. The refrigerator, sink, induction pan made cooking easy. The heater came in handy on one of the nights when it was really cold.

Overall this place is cute and we enjoyed our trip but you can tell this place is tired. It needs a little love and accurate amenities for advertised guests. The pics show a well cared for lot but this place hasn't seen a rake or lawn mower in awhile. The outdoor kitchen, toilet, and shower were cute but reflected the same level of general neglect. The outdoor shower was finicky, either nuclear hot or ice cold, but we believe user error was a factor. Our yurt was mostly great. We did find mouse poop under the sink, and were saddened in the amount of supplies. The yurt was advertised for a couple or 3 people max. But there was only 1 pillow and 1 towel. While 3 sleeping areas were available, 2 twin beds and a couch, a twin bed or couch is not really comfortable for a couple. Lastly the location was great, away from town but close enough to groceries and day trips. Only downside was the heavy equipment wake up call at 8am on Thursday and Friday. Both the property owner and neighbors were doing land developments. Again, can't blame them, it just killed the serenity of the area. Overall, I'd consider staying again.

The location is very cute, with three yurts close together. There are llamas, cats, and chickens on the property, and a lovely open air communal kitchen with fire pit. The yurt windows are dirty and you cannot see out them, but the view is nice when you're outside. The gardens are overgrown and abandoned, with sharp objects among the plants, so I wouldn't recommend this place to families with small children, but it's a nice spot of older kids and adults. The drive that leads to the parking spaces is very steep with a sudden transition, so I wouldn't recommend the location to cars without high bumpers (we were not warned of this by the owners and there was no one there when we arrived so we didn't know where else we were allowed to park, which resulted in damage to our car). The owners also did not inform us that their neighbors were in the midst of a loud and continuous construction project, resulting in loud beeping noises every time the earth movers backed up, every 30-90 seconds or so, from 8am to 4pm. Because of this, we had to cut our trip short. We had paid for four nights, but due to the noise we could only stay two. The owners offered no apology for their failure to honestly inform us of the current noise level in a space they advertised as quiet and restful. We booked shortly before our trip and I believe that they should have informed us of the construction as soon as they knew about it. Because of this dishonesty, I do not recommend this location.

This camping site was awesome for our group of 4. Clean facilities, friendly host and convenient location. We did a hiking on San Juan Bautista trail and visited the old town with historic buildings that was 15min away from Terra Cultura. Nice sky views at night. I highly recommend this place. Thank you.

cozy yurt, perfect glamping

our anniversary! a sweet kitty cat welcomed us. we crunched through eucalyptus leaves and we're greeted by turkeys and jays and lizards. the yurt was so cozy and had all the comforts of home, but we could still hear the leaves rustling in the wind at night and needles pattering gently on the canvas roof. not a far drive from watsonville, good food there and great thrifting! a little further and you're at the beach! great location, magical sleeping arrangements! thanks Travis and Emory and the rest of the residents and staff 💜

Pictures OUTDATED false advertising
Gorgeous Grassland Tent Site
Honestly the campsite itself was not as the pictures were, as we arrived The whole place was overgrown dead grass, Cotton webs and dusty like no one had stayed for years. We didn’t even know if it was the campsite. The host lived less than 100 feet from the campsite and their personal belongings and trash were everywhere. Pathways weren’t clear and safe. Bathroom and shower were up on the hill far away from campsite. Worst part was the fire pit…wasn’t cleared out, and when our fire was going it was raining ashes all over the campsite. Unsafe and messy. On the bright side it’s quiet and we had a friendly kitty greet us when we first arrived, We named him Otis. If it weren’t for my sweet boyfriend making everything positive, and some alcohol, I would’ve left and demanded a refund. Will not be recommending this spot to anyone. 2/10 😒 quite embarrassing actually if I wanted to spend $100+ I would’ve just stayed in a hotel

The yurt was well equipped and it was lovely hearing the sounds of the forest throughout the day/night. The shower gets nice and hot, and the view is amazing. We really appreciate the yurt upgrade we were given! It made the birthday weekend with my partner even more special. I highly recommend staying here.

Terra Cultura is a hidden gem. Copper (my dog) and I enjoyed our little adventure immensely. I loved hearing the wind move through the eucalyptus tress while in the yurt an identifying the various bird calls. I saw a great horned owl soaring through the trees and heard its song each night. Copper met his first alpaca! Emory and the other resident were lovely people and easy to chat with. I highly recommend a visit to Terra Cultura!

Chose this location as a midway point between Santa Cruz and Monterey. The Yurt was cozy and had everything we needed. Emory was very helpful and quick to respond to any of our needs. We enjoyed our stay!

Incredible spot with very nice hosts! The Yurts were STOCKED with games, cookware, and additional blankets and everything else one might need and not realize. We had the best time and will definitely be coming back!!

Terra Cultura was a lush and serene place to spend the weekend. Emory and Travis were warm, helpful, and responsive to our inquiries and needs. I highly recommend staying in the Skyline Yurt. It's simple and spacious with more amenities (running water, heat, good light) than I thought possible in a yurt.

The yurt had many more features than expected! The fridge, hot plate, and sink were a nice surprise and really added to the comfort of our stay. The property was beautiful and offered the perfect serene farm getaway.

We had a very relaxing stay. The property is well maintained and the yurt was very cozy and comfortable. The property is not really a hiking or camping vibe, but it has a beautiful view of the surrounding hills and trees. The compost toilet was not my favorite experience but it was clean. The yurt had everything we needed to cook and enjoy the space.

The breezy ridge where the yurt is located made for a perfect respite from the heat while staying outdoors. Nice location for a day trip to the moss landing beach area. The hosts are welcoming and connected to the area. Thank you!

We had a wonderful time in the family yurt! There were even more luxuries than we had imagined - with 3 great beds, pillows, soft sheets, books, games and a very useful kitchen. We hadn't expected to do much cooking while there, but plans changed and we ended up taking advantage of the kitchen area. The composting toilet was *fine* but definitely could have been maintained a bit more - it was getting a little sketchy by the end of the trip :)

This was my first time staying in a yurt and I have to say it was a great experience. It was super roomy on the inside on top of it being right next to a eucalyptus forest. The place has a farm and we got fresh eggs to cook in the morning. Overall excellent place to chill and enjoy.

Appreciated staying in this yurt as a break from our city life. Quiet and peaceful. Loved cooking fresh eggs from the farm’s hens in the morning. Yurt was stocked with olive oil and salt and pepper as well as a few keurig coffee pods. Host was very responsive when we realized the propane was out when we arrived late at night (heater and stove burner wouldn’t turn on). Propane was replaced early in the morning, well in time to cook eggs. Yurt was stocked with lots of blankets so no heat the first night was manageable.
