We had the best, worry free, relaxing weekend at Ken and Judi's Hipcamp. I had a few questions about our doggos even before we booked and Ken was very helpful, kind, and prompt to respond. It was a joy chatting with Ken. The directions were perfect, the arrival was extremely smooth, the campsite was very clean, extremely pretty with lots of succulents, and accommodations were fantastic! The area was quiet and beautiful! We already discussed bringing friends and staying again soon! Ken and Judi were gracious hosts that checked on us at check-in and again at checkout! I loved the chandelier in the tree, the attention to detail with the accommodations, and Judi's display of succulents was breathtaking! The fur babies loved the experience as well, and even got to make friends with horses, goats, cows, and other doggos along the way on our walks! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

We loved staying with Ken and Judi! The site was beautiful, the views were amazing, they have included everything you could need and more you didn't realize you would want. They make arriving, setup and staying so simple. It is centrally located to so many great places to visit; SLO, Pismo, and Avila beach. I will make note that there is a small airport nearby that you will occasionally hear the planes as they take off. We definitely plan to return!

Ken and Judi’s place looks great. Unfortunately our plans changed and we didn’t stay there- opting to head straight home after a long trip.
Their communication was great and we will definitely try to stay there at another time.

Yet another place we stayed that I’m wildly jealous of. Ken’s land is a perfect little oasis, tucked away but still incredibly convenient to everything you’d want to do around SLO. It’s the kind of spot that feels peaceful and private without being remote.
We went a little too hard during the day, completely forgot to grab dinner on the way back, and somehow still managed to DoorDash food straight to camp, which honestly says everything you need to know about the location.
Quiet, comfortable, and dangerously close to making you rethink your life choices and buy land in SLO. Would absolutely stay here again.

We loved camping at this site! Beautiful view, sweet amenities like a kitchen sink, an outdoor shower, a fireplace for each site, and even a portapotty with small cactus and Dude wipes! The hosts are available, but not intrusive. Very close to the Edna, CA wineries. Ample room for both our car and teardrop.

Ken and Judi’s property was lovely. It was intimate and provided plenty of personal space. I thoroughly enjoyed the attention to detail with the outdoor lighting and ample prep space. They had excellent communication and even offered to let us come a little early.

Ken and Judi's property was beautiful and spacious. We enjoyed meeting our hosts and loved the location as well. The fire pit is awesome and we liked hanging out around the fire. We will definitely return if we get a chance.

Where do we begin? The amenities were amazing! Between the fire pit, lighting, outdoor shower and crazy enough.. porta potty experience, lol everything was just wonderful! We’ll definitely be staying here again when passing through SLO. Very close to a beautiful ‘Main Street’ with shops, and dining.

This was our second visit and highly recommend staying here. The location is perfect for visiting the SLO downtown and many wine tasting locations are close by. The hosts were very accommodating on our arrival time and Ken was there to greet us and help get us settled in.

Charming rural property in SLO

We had a great stay at Ken and Judi’s property. It isn’t in the wilderness, but nestled among fields of grapes. Not really vineyard vibe, but charmingly rural.
Our site comes with high top bar made of wine barrels and repurposed door, great for serving drinks and food. There is a picnic table but we mostly ate sitting on lawn chairs around the fire pit. Many other thoughtful touches, attributed to Judi, includes an antique chandelier wired from high tree branches, succulent plants in whimsical containers every where, etc. A bit of BoHo chic vibe.
Ken is a gracious host, checking in regularly but not intrusively.
The weather helped: hot during the day, but cooled down nicely at night, which made the lack of power hook-up not a problem.
This property has made it into my “repeat” list. We’ll be back.

SLO Country Camp was just perfect. I stayed solo with my dog. Great horse ranch property on a street so quiet, it felt like a long driveway. I did not meet Judi, but Ken was attentive and available, yet I felt like I had the place to myself the whole time. Plenty of room to camp, burn a fire, move around and, lots of space to walk the dog. Loved the outdoor shower, and - between that and the sink - I was able to stay four days without loading up my Airstream's smallish tanks or using up my water supply. Location is extremely convenient, and the airport was not a bother. Sounded more like rolling thunder than anything else. 10 minutes from Avila and five from downtown SLO. Stay here, you can't go wrong!

The site is very cute, quiet (the nearby airport didn’t bother us at all, even though we’re light sleepers), with good amenities, such as a shower, a sink, a table and a few chairs. The view is really nice and the property is surrounded by cute farms. SLO is 10 mins away and - if you have a dog - you’ll find a wonderful dog park 5 mins away from the property. The hosts are very friendly, helpful, and communicative. We’ll definitely try to book again in the future!

This was our first time hipcamping and it was so nice compared to campgrounds with a ton of people! One other site next to us only. Super cute place with chairs, tables, solar lights.. amazing views and so quiet except for the airport.

This place was great. We showed up late afternoon and easily found the spot with the instructions given. The area is well equipped with some tables, chairs, and shade. The outdoor shower was very nice and the sink and cooking area was very clean. We will definitely come back next time we need to camp in the area.
