I had the best time at Sky Canyon! I went with my dog and we both enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the peacefulness. The accommodations were the perfect blend of luxury (plumbed shower in the woods!) and rustic charm. I would definitely go back and certainly recommend to any camper.

The place is so beautiful! We would’ve stayed longer if we didn’t have other plans. Would have love to explore Nevada City. Lucie is awesome! She provided every bit of information on directions and history of the surrounding areas. I love to come back again for the same Wolf Moon spot. It’s a great spot with a canvas tent and star gazing at night is amazing. I can’t rate the camp enough. Love every bit of the camp! Thank you Lucie.

We had fun here. Remote location down a dirt road. Quiet and nice little bath tub. 25 minutes to Nevada City of Grass Valley. It’s definitely a big isolated but that’s kind of the point ☺️

10 out of 10. I could blab on and on about how great this place is but who has the time to read it. Just see my photos. Okay, maybe I’ll blab a little bit. Tent camping with glamping bathrooms like these is a luxurious experience. You know when you find something so good you don’t want to leave a review? Because you don’t want it to become overrun or for the prices to go up? Well, I had that thought. “Maybe I won’t review this one.” But I realized that these folks are providing a quality experience and need to be rewarded for creating this place. Go here.

Camp Wolf Moon was so lovely. The scenery was peaceful and beautiful, with plenty of space for adventuring for my littles. The tent was clean, spacious and cute, with a super comfy bed! The bathroom was just awesome, with adorable and thoughtful touches everywhere, and it even had a bathtub that I could use for my 3 year old. Lucie arranged a WONDERFUL breakfast for us and delivered it to the campsite. Her communication was stellar throughout the whole process, with great recommendations and clear instructions. The site itself was close to all of the things we wanted to do: Grass Valley, Nevada City, various lakes, and South Yuba River. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Secluded and Peaceful

What a lovely campground! You can tell a lot of care and effort went into clearing and arranging the property. This campground is nestled deep in the woods, but the property itself has a lot of sky view above so it feels very open. You’re able to see a TON of stars. Everything has a lot of care for details, like there were vases with dried flowers, little table mats for the table, all the different soaps you would need in the bathrooms, some of those anti-mosquito spiral incense things, and the tent itself was decked out with very peaceful lounging decor. The bed was comfy. This campground is deep in the woods, up and down very windy roads. We were staying there for business so the commute was more than we had thought it would be (not a problem though!), so just plan ahead to really stock up on what you need from town (or just enjoy the ride through the forest!). Lucie was communicative from the start, and while we had no problems with our stay, she seemed like she would remedy anything if it had come up :)

what an amazing property! the bathhouse situation is ideal, with a clean composting toilet and beautiful rain shower. the location is great for exploring the area (Nevada city is so underrated!). My one negative is that the campsites aren't very secluded from each other.

This campsite was incredible! Reasonably priced considering how secluded, beautiful, and upkept it was. Wood Rose was the small plot but comfortably fit our tent and car, and it was conveniently across from the bath house, which featured adorable decor and a full bathtub and shower! Lucie was responsive over text and sent us detailed instructions in advance. 10/10.

The experience was so nice! The shower was such a godsend went we went home from camping. The bed in the tent was very comfortable. My girlfriend is new to camping and easing her way to camping with the tent, bed, and shower truly helped a lot. Overall a truly amazing camping experience+ a little extra experience!

We had such a great experience at this Hipcamp! We went to Grass Valley for a concert and stayed here the night before. It was exactly what we needed for our small truck and tent. Lucie sent very detailed instructions on how to arrive at the site, which was very much appreciative. The bathroom and shower were very clean and very appreciated!! (Also the dried flowers in vases throughout gave the perfect extra touch.) We will definitely stay here again and have already recommended to many of our friends

Everything was clean, well-kept, and easy to navigate. Highly recommend if you're looking to unwind in nature!" Five stars all around! We had an amazing time at sky canyon! The GPS got us to the correct road, but the actual gate was much closer than the GPS indicated, so be on the lookout for the SIGN so you don't miss it. Will absolutely be back in the future; it was clean, lovely, and safe. Thank you, Lucie!
