Tucked in Iron Gate Lake Estates in Siskiyou County, CA. this 2.55-acre private parcel offers a quiet, open setting for self-contained campers looking to unplug and spread out. Surrounded by wide skies, rolling terrain, and Northern California mountain views, it’s a peaceful basecamp for those who prefer space over crowded campgrounds. This is raw, undeveloped land — perfect for dry camping and boondocking. There are no hookups, water, or facilities, so guests should be fully self-contained and prepared to pack in and pack out. The openness of the property allows for generous spacing between rigs and beautiful stargazing at night thanks to minimal light pollution. Iron Gate Lake and the Klamath River are nearby for fishing, kayaking, wildlife viewing, and exploring. The area is known for its quiet roads, big skies, and slower pace — ideal for overlanders, van lifers, fishermen, hunters, or anyone simply looking for a peaceful stop along their travels. Access is via rural subdivision roads. High-clearance vehicles are recommended depending on conditions. Cell service can be limited, so it’s best to download maps ahead of arrival. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed or kept within a controlled area near your RV. There is plenty of room to park, set up chairs, and enjoy the open space without feeling crowded. This is a fully primitive, self-contained dry camping experience. There are no hookups, water, restrooms, trash service, or other amenities on site. Guests must bring their own water and power and pack out all waste. The open layout makes it easy to position your RV or camper for views, shade (where available), and wind direction. Activities are accessed off-site. Iron Gate Lake and the Klamath River are a short drive away and offer fishing, kayaking, boating, wildlife viewing, and exploring. The surrounding Siskiyou County area provides quiet roads for scenic drives, hiking opportunities, and wide-open skies perfect for stargazing. Access to the property is via rural subdivision roads.
