Rocksteady Adventures

Our campsite (#24) was huge! Flat, compact, clean, and had a lot of tree coverage. Loved the hawks flying all over the place and perching on the huge tree right above our tent. Bathrooms are simple but very clean. Offgrid but hot water is provided at certain times. I will most def go back here.

This place is pretty nice. The hosts are pretty friendly and the campsites have a good mix of shade and open views of the night sky. I'll definitely come back.

I REALLY liked this campsite until I got stung by a scorpion :( The site itself is beautiful, spacious, secluded, and right by the water. My friends and I were already planning to come back again sometime… The host was apparently out of town during our stay, and had a friend covering for him. He had 2 sweet dogs following him around offleash throughout the weekend which I thought was really charming (I’m a huge dog person). The dogs were also wandering around unsupervised thruout the day, which again, I enjoyed, because I love dogs. Although, I noticed one had a lump on his snout. I thought it might be a tumor, but the next day I noticed the other dog had a bloody upper lip… The host’s friend very kindly came to check on us on our second day, and I told him about the scorpion sting. He was very nonchalant and followed it up by saying “Yeah… We get tarantulas certain times out of the year too.” Then proceeded to tell us a crazy story about how the owner once saw them traveling in a drove so big he thought the road was repaved for a second. Soon after he said “We have rattlesnakes too” and told us he thinks the dogs got into it with them, hence the lump and bloody snout. Then he asked “You weren’t alerted about any of that?” No we were not, and I wish we were. I’m pretty sure my friends would still be down to go back there but sadly I won’t be returning. As lovely as it is, the scorpion sting hurt like hell and took me out for a few days. I guess nature’s gonna nature 🤷‍♀️

Good and large campsite big enough for our group of 8 guys. Fishing lake was really close and we caught about 8 monster bass. Toilet facilities left a lot to be desired. Frogs jumping in the toilet (eek!) Port-a-John had lots of spider webs and ant inside. (eek!). Other than the toilet situation, it was a cool spot.

Hosts were very nice and met us at the gate to let us in. Our capsite was very large with good shade throughout the days. We did a family trip with 14 people and we had a blast! Water spout and porta potties were great!

Circle Up Group Camp - Site #15

John the host was welcoming and helpful! The hosts themselves were wonderful and the location was lovely too - we saw very cool wildlife. The only problem was the last night we stayed. The owner and his friends rolled into the campsite right next door at 9pm, set up bright lights, and became progressively louder. All we heard after that were curse words. At 2am, we asked them to quiet down, but it only lasted 5-10 minutes. They finally settled down at 4am. It was a rough night for my family. I would recommend letting those know who stay at this site when the owner and his friends will be there that it will be a late night, or offer another site.

Enjoyed our stay!

Enjoyed our stay here! Lots of shade to chill during the day, beautiful lake, and awesome doggies that are friendly and welcoming. Would definitely be back again to try again for the fish since it was a little slow and didn’t catch anything but plenty of other things to do.

Circle Up Group Camp - Site #15

I was hoping for a view of the reservoir from my tent but in order to see that, I would have to walk up a little hill. I really wanted to like this camp but there’s too many flies and I got bitten at least a dozen times. Unfortunately, the trash bins were overflowing and the previous campers put plastic bags filled with trash around it. If garbage remains uncollected, flies multiply. I hope this situation improves because my brief interaction with owner was pleasant. Regardless, I’m afraid I will not be coming back.

My son and I had a great time and loved being right by the reservoir. The hosts were friendly, helpful and a joy to talk to. And the dogs are friendly and fun. I would definitely go back.

Loved camping here. Such a great experience, the portapotties were clean and stocked with toilet paper and seat covers. The water was walkable and the view of the stars were beautiful! It was also a great place for young kids. I would come back!

They were very nice. It was pretty chill. They are trying to make it more known...so give it a try!!!! I recommend weekends as they have boat races and live bands.. sounds fun! Thank you!

Disorganized and Misleading

I selected Lily’s Hideout for a gathering with a group of close friends (eight of us in total) who rarely have the opportunity to reconnect. Given the nature of our get-together, I specifically looked for a location without strict quiet hours, and Lily’s Hideout appeared to meet that criteria. I also deliberately reserved site #24 due to its secluded location, as I still wanted to be mindful of other campers even in the absence of enforced quiet hours. Unfortunately, upon arrival, I was informed that my reserved site had been reassigned to another party, who had already set up their gear. Although the host offered us an alternative site, it was disappointing to have my original reservation disregarded. What added to the frustration was learning the following day that we had received noise complaints, and that quiet hours do, in fact, begin at 11pm—contrary to the information presented at the time of booking. If you’re planning a social gathering that extends into the evening, this location may not be the best fit. The whole experience felt disorganized and misleading.

We absolutely loved camping out in peppers spot! It was perfectly shady and had plenty of space for us to set up. The lake was absolutely beautiful and we were lucky enough to pretty much have it to ourselves. Our hosts were so kind and awesome. Definitely looking forward to coming back!

My friends and I had a blast staying here! I recommend bringing a paddleboard or something for the lake, as that was a huge miss for us. The grounds were so fun and we had a great time!

Camp and swim

We went mid week and had a lot of the camp to ourselves. It was lovely with a good amount of shade trees. The reservoir is right around the corner and the swimming was fantastic. It is definitely off the grid, but the accommodations worked perfectly for us. I highly recommend.

Site 24 was extremely fun to stay at with it being so close to the water as well as very peaceful at night, it was extremely easy and convenient to set my reservation and I would definitely reccomend the campsite to any frequent camper.

absolute perfection, camp was clean and safe tucked away on a huge piece of property with warm water and also a working generator. The Trina and her husband were absolutely amazing. the lake is absolute perfection and my son and i caught our first fish together
