I loved staying in The Lil Shashta Camper! The night sky views were amazing and it felt like I had miles of silence to myself. The camper is nice and cozy with a fire ring and charcoal grill for bigger groups! Really can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful and isolated location. Blake who was on site was really pleasant and a great start to the whole trip. Very accommodating to my schedule and quick replies. My aunt loved her trip and I’m so glad this was available. Thanks to you both. I will be back with my gf. Thanks again.

So beautiful! Despite being small, the camper made great use of space inside, and felt very roomy. The kitchen was well-stocked and easy to use. The outdoor space was gorgeous and I spent a few very happy hours just wandering around getting to know the local plants, using a guide from the camper's bookshelf. Adam sends an extremely intimidating list of instructions before you arrive, but don't worry - if you're used a compost toilet before, you already know most of it. The rest just comes down to being sensible and conserving energy so the stored solar power doesn't run out overnight. It was unseasonably cold that week and when trying to sleep we discovered that not all the windows fully close, so it got very drafty. But unlike some other sites we stayed, at the provided bedding was actually well-calibrated to the weather, which helped a lot! We also managed to repurpose some of the seat cushions to temporarily block the worst of it. Adam was very responsive and helpful during out stay. We noticed an issue had developed with the water and let him know, and he was out there that night to fix it so quickly that there was no negative impact on our trip. We'd absolutely stay here again, ideally in a warmer month when we could actually use the lovely little stock-tank pool!

Lil Shasta was the perfect little getaway spot - so beautiful and secluded yet still close to the main streets and shops of Joshua Tree. The camper was clean and had so many amenities that we weren’t even expecting, and the outdoor areas were perfect for camping, relaxing and sitting by the bonfire. Would definitely come back to Lil Shasta!

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at Newmar. The camper was clean and the bed was comfortable. It also has all the utensils you need as well as bug spray and extra sunscreen. Adam was timely with replying to messages. The only issue we had is that one of the doors didn't lock. Other than this; the property is beautiful, the stargazing is wonderful as well as the sunsets and sunrises!

My brother and I had an amazing time at Lil Shasta. The camper and the disconnect were everything we were looking for. We really appreciate this little desert retreat and how well it helped us reconnect and relax.

A beautiful escape from the city. Loved the peace & quiet (with a few coyotes saying hello) We got lucky and stayed on the new moon, so the stars were incredible! You can tell a lot of care has gone into this space and the cowboy pool was perfect for cooling off in the hot afternoon. The location was great, far enough away to feel secluded, yet close enough to lots of fun places to explore within 15/20 min. Would come back!

My sister and I had a great time staying at Lil Shasta. Adam left easy to follow instructions for check in & check out.
I loved how peaceful and quiet it was. Days were hot and the nights were cool and relaxing.

Amazing location, amazingly cute place. Adam was always reachable, friendly and helpful. I must say that the cowboy tub was the primary reason we chose this spot, and unfortunately it was too green and scummy to use. However, even without it, this was a 5 star stay for both my friend and I.

This was the worst experience and waste of money that I have ever experienced, having traveld to over 10 national parks and 35 countries. The directions and code did not work to get in, and the owner was unresponsive, so we had to rent another hotel 25 miles away. The following day, LATE morning, the owner simply said that he cannot be held accountable for failure of the directions or code to work. There was no refund, despite us offering a compromise. We will take this up to a higher authority. Don't rent this place!

Cute little RV that was perfect for my one night stay. Everything I could have needed was there and it was a fair distance from the other RV on the property so plenty private.

Isolated location was ideal! With such a well equipped kitchen, wish we could have stayed for longer! Quick communication with the host, really a nice desert stay. Even on a windy night, lil Shasta holds up!

Had a great Mother's Day getaway with just my girls. There is a lot of attention to detail in this little place and we all really enjoyed it. The bed was comfortable and the atmosphere was perfect.

We loved this spot! We arrived a bit late but there were solar lights in the ground to light the path to the Lil Shasta. The trailer was decorated to feel so cozy and the the outdoor area was a great place to spend our nights. It got hot, but the trailers windows kept the sleeping area well ventilated so it was not a problem. The kitchen is fully stocked with supplies and we were able to cook and bake our meals. We will return!

This spot has it all! The vintage trailer has been remodeled with care and attention to the little details. The bed in the back is super comfy with its memory foam mattress topper. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you’ll need to cook a delicious meal. There are even coffee beans from Joshua Tree Coffee Co. for you to use (They’ve got great coffee). The outdoor shaded table will protect you from the sun while you enjoy your breakfast before it gets too hot. The tub is an amazing addition to this property. When the heat gets too unbearable, you can submerge yourself into the tub and enjoy your surroundings.
The host has thought of everything to make sure guests have a comfortable stay. I’d definitely recommend this spot if you want a relaxing spot to stay in Joshua Tree.
