Private 4x4 Desert Basecamp Near Joshua Tree Site Size: 165 ft × 105 ft (≈0.4 acre per site) Private 4x4 Desert Basecamp offers quiet, spacious primitive camping on private high-desert land just outside Twentynine Palms, CA. 📍 Near Joshua Tree National Park Located minutes from Joshua Tree National Park’s north entrance. This area is popular for stargazing, desert photography, overlanding trips, and exploring the Mojave high desert. Designed for 4x4 trucks, overland rigs, rooftop tents, truck campers, and off-road capable vehicles seeking privacy and open desert space without the uncertainty of dispersed camping. 🌵 Primitive / Dry Camping This is true desert boondocking. • No hookups • No toilets or showers • No dump station Guests must arrive fully self-contained and comfortable camping on natural desert terrain. 🏜️ BLM Desert Recreation Nearby The property borders large Bureau of Land Management areas offering: • 4x4 exploration • SxS / quad riding • Rock crawling • Hiking • Open desert access • Nearby informal shooting areas (Gold Crown Rd area) Basecamp on private land while thousands of acres of public desert remain nearby. 🚮 Pack-In / Pack-Out No trash service. All trash and wastewater must leave with you. No dumping of gray or black water. Leave No Trace principles apply. 🔥 Campfires Allowed only in provided fire rings when local fire restrictions permit. No fires during high winds. Do not create new fire pits. Fully extinguish fires before leaving. 🚙 Vehicle Requirements Best suited for high-clearance 4x4 vehicles. Small travel trailers under 25 ft / 4,000 lbs may be permitted when towed by capable 4x4 vehicles. Not suitable for large motorhomes or low-clearance RVs. 🌌 The Desert Experience Enjoy quiet nights, wide-open skies, and minimal light pollution. Sites are spaced for privacy — no guessing where someone might park nearby like on open BLM land. If you enjoy raw terrain, open space, and true off-grid camping, this basecamp is a great fit. 🔧 Future Improvements We are actively developing the property and plan to add: • Central RV dump station • Potable water refill station • Solar-powered electric service • Expanded RV pads Guests staying now help support the growth of this off-grid desert basecamp.
