Adorable cabin, but very hot
The cabin was very cute and bigger than I thought! It was within 30 minutes of Yosemite, which is why we stayed at the cabin. The only down side is the heat and the cabin being so insulated, was a challenge to cool down. The cabin we stayed at is with a porta potty which was fine. The outside of the entry point of the cabin had quite a bit of items stacked in the yard, which didn’t feel like a Hipcamp first on arrival. We truly love the aframe, and the idea was perfect. The down side is the heat of the sun, making it difficult to ventilate as said above and there’s a highway across the field that when cars turn around, would shine lights into the cabin.
I personally would say the price of it is slightly higher than what I would pay in the future for this style of camping. It felt more like truly camping, than it did like glamping. Like I said before, I really love the idea of this cabin! If I were to stay there again, it wouldn’t be in the summer time. I would happily stay here in late fall or early winter.
