We have 155 acres of the Sierra foothills just ~12 minutes from downtown Murphys. This is a working farm where we specialize in cut flowers and also grow a little food. When available we offer bouquets/eggs/veggies as an add-on. There are a few different listings, so make sure to read the details on your specific listing! -End of The Driveway -1 Pine -2 Pine The End of The Driveway is one big site for buses/RVs/big vans next to the Soup Kitchen. 1 Pine and 2 Pine are up a separate driveway on the ridge. The driveway spot is down the driveway a couple hundred yards from where we usually are so you’ll more or less be on your own, depending on if we have work to do down there or if there are other campers. We are happy to chat or leave you be, just let us know what your needs are. If you’re looking for a more isolated spot, see the listings for 1 Pine or 2 Pine. The 2nd area is “1 Pine” accessed by our second driveway that is 100 yards down the road from the farm. The driveway is kind of rough but definitely manageable with a truck, SUV or sedan if you’re willing to go for it. The drive goes up a couple hundred yards to the hilltop where there is a clearing and, you guessed it, 1 pine tree. From the back of the clearing there is a trail that leads you to 2 Pine, which is a walk that takes just a few minutes. 2 Pine is walk-in only but has great views of the sunset and is totally secluded and private and would be a good spot to either bring some friends for a little sunset party or for someone who wants to seriously unplug. There are plenty of flat spots to pitch a tent. **if you are a teacher or Pacific Crest Trail hiker let us know! We are happy to offer a discount :)

The driveway that goes down to the Soup Kitchen is relatively flat where it ends. This area looks down over the flower garden with a nice view to the West. There’s enough room in this space for a few vans/cars OR a couple of decent sized campers (under 30ft). The problem with bigger campers is that the turnaround is kind of tight and slightly graded and that’s your only option to turn around, unless you want to back all the way up the driveway to the road, which is about 400ft. (I’ve done both multiple times and they’re both manageable if you have some experience driving an RV). Also of note, the bottom of the driveway is wide enough for two cars side by side, so as long as people park along one side then no one will get parked in.

We have a 77’ Gillig bus that has a serious retro feel! It has a queen bed, table, some shelving, a clothes rack and a cool antique dresser. I’m not trying to class this thing up too much and charge a bunch for it. This is for people that want something unique and are easy to please! It does have a power strip, lamp, fan, and a bunch of cool books about homesteading. The bus is parked in the “campus” so you will most likely see wwoofers (volunteer farm helpers) or our family, so a half naked 2 year old might come cruising by sometime- or one of our cats. The bonus to being in the campus is that you’re surrounded by my gardens and landscaping and close proximity to the shower and kitchen, both of which you are welcome to use, just as long as you leave them better than you found them. For those who do have kids, there is also a fold out couch/bed in the bus and there’s a play area nearby with swings, slide and even a little tree fort! The drive is 12 minutes from Murphys and about 10 to the Arnold Rim Trail access on Fullen Rd.

Peaceful, quiet and serene with a gorgeous sunset ! The outside shower was very lovely and unique. The hosts were very friendly. Close to town and the nearby cities for exploring.

Ben is an amazing guy super understanding, I booked pine 1 the night before I was headed up and unfortunately was not able to make it. Because of this I asked Ben if there was any chance of a refund, he didn’t think twice before trying to help me get a refund and was super helpful and kind! I will definitely be booking another trip here soon, I was recommended by a friend who said the views were breathtaking.

4.5/5 stars. I would recommend Mighty Farm & Camp to a friend. I had a pleasant experience and the hosts were friendly. Do be sure to expect roosters crowing, beginning around 6am!

Really friendly. Reasonably private space and lovely. Very reasonably priced - really liked the spot for the price. Also, it's definitely worth visiting the Mercer Cavern if you go. And the drive to Lake Alpine was easy. We'll be back.

Beautiful location close to all the sites in the area. Private camp site and cool hang out area + hot showers make this place special. Ben was a great host and showed me the hiking trail on the property. Chickens and goats and beautiful flower gardens were an added bonus! Cheers and thanks for hosting:)

Great dispersed camping spot for campers who are pretty self sufficient. The area is large and flat surrounded by manzanita. Highly recommend bringing your own shade. Beautiful views all around, great for sunsets and stargazing. There is a rock fire ring. You can walk down the hill for water and bathroom facilities if needed. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. It was a great spot for jumping off to other adventures up Highway 4.

The place is very rustic so be prepared to walk quite a bit to the only outhouse they have on the property. If u bring your own toilet just make sure it’s able to withstand some uneven terrain. It was very beautiful place with lots of wildflowers and a good dog along a working farm. They got good working outdoor showers be aware they have creek somewhere on property so be prepared with mosquito 🦟 spray.

Overall we had a nice time camping for 2 nights. The sunsets are pretty over the ridge, the outdoor shower was great and it was pretty quiet with other campers nearby. The sink and potable water in the saloon was convenient. Would could’ve made it better is if the grounds were better maintained. There was some trash at our site and the area could’ve used some weed whacking.

The site was super private and pretty. It was nice that there's a mostly set up covered kitchen and fire pit. The sunsets were beautiful. It was a very large open space where our child was able to dig for quartz and roam around safely. There was plenty of table space so the camp seemed to be able to accomodate several people. We were disappointed that the water was not hooked up until we asked for it, there was some trash around from previous guests, and the solar panel was not charging our phones until we put it on the roof of the kitchen ourselves. The photo showed a refrigerator and the description didn't note that it was not working. Most disturbing was the condition of the outhouse though. It definitely needed to be emptied or moved to a new location.

A Great and Easy Spot!

What a great spot! We were at the spot by the flower garden and it was so pleasant and private too. We made use of the sturdy wood tables, the super cute outhouse (if outhouses can be cute? ha), and the potable water. Would definitely recommend!

The camper van was awesome! Super vintage. So cool. The bed was super comfortable too. They were very friendly and kind. Outdoor kitchen worked great since it rained.

Beautiful spot and a great set up. The Soup Kitchen provided us with all the amenities we needed for cooking and the whole place is just so charming! We enjoyed a night of star gazing and rest and are so thankful for Ben & Heather’s hospitality.

A Hipcamp Must Visit!

Amazing experience! Serene and very peaceful place. The bus has everything you could possibly need: queen bed, dresser, table, fridge, couch, electricity, games and books. Full outdoor kitchen to use. Multiple sources of clean drinking water. Fire pit complete with firewood. Ben and his wife were very kind and accommodating. Would definitely come back again!

The Big White Bus
This was one of the best hip camps I have stayed in. Ben and Puff are the sweetest, and it was great to chat with some of the other people there helping in the garden. I was gifted a gorgeous sunflower since Ben insisted something special for teachers! We arrived just in time for a stunning sunset hike with a seemingly private trail that starts out just behind the van. By the way, the van was a classic, solid design and clean furnishings and linens with lavender and other emanating right form the garden. We sleep under the stars in complete peace and woke up to the morning sun, and invitation to fresh coffee and conversation, hot showers and even a visit from the cutest bow tie donned cat ever! We support what Ben and his family are doing in this space and hope to be back. By the way, the family were days away from a new baby and welcomed us with open arms to there loving mighty farm.

Our three nights at the Soup Kitchen were a resounding success. Lots of space, even when other campers arrived. Not a lot of shade in the late afternoon, but the sunsets were beautiful.

It’s a great quiet place to camp. It still needs a lot of work, but we had everything we needed. I thought the outhouse near our campground was a little far to walk, if you have to get u at night like me and it’s a walk up a little hill, so be prepared. The outdoor hot shower was nice. We had a good stay. Thanks Ben.

The End of the Driveway was a perfect spot for our wedding reception and Ben and Puff and the crew are just really friendly, welcoming, and good people. We booked the Soup Kitchen also and the end of the driveway was a great spot for spillover for our large group. It’s been leveled and graveled and has lots of picnic tables, so it’s a really great spot for events. The bathroom is set away from the sites so you have your privacy. Ben and Puff were very flexible and accommodating and even brought us a bottle of wine and toasted us. Can’t recommend enough. From one newlywed pair to another, thank you and congratulations Ben and Puff, hope to cross paths again!

We enjoyed our stay at one pine. However when we booked we thought we were going to be the only ones at that camp site. Unfortunately when we arrived we found out another group would be sharing the site with us. They arrived at 11:30 pm after we were t and woke us up. Then they let their dogs loose. The dogs ate all of our dog’s food and pulled food out of the trash bag scattering it all over the site. I don’t blame the Bens for this. But perhaps some rules about arrival time and controlling one’s dogs would be helpful.

Ben was an outstanding host! We had our wedding reception here and at his End of the Driveway listing and the sites were perfect for this sort of event, and Ben was super accommodating and flexible. He let us play live music at night and pitch a lot of tents around the property, and he even brought us a bottle of wine and toasted us. They were all great people here and just everything you’d hope for from Calaveras County folks. Really terrific experience

The property was as described, it was a bit challenging to find in the dark though. The host's communication was great! The listing says it is in Forest Meadows, but it isn't. Instead, it is on the way to Sheep Ranch, which is in the opposite direction.
