Quiet, clean, idyllic site with a great outdoor shower, located a short walking distance from the Big River mouth and a moderate walking distance from downtown Mendocino. Would definitely come back.

Great amenities

Molly was always available for any communication and she checked in to see if we were ok. The Big Campsite was closest to the road and next to the bins/trash so maybe next time I might go for the Abalone Campsite next to the outdoor shower! The amenities onsite were amazing, firewood, firepit, picnic table, bathroom, outdoor shower! We would defo come again, thanks Molly 🙏

We loved our time at Whales Song. Molly's land is super convenient to get to the quaint town of Mendocino. The site itself was beautiful - a lovely outdoor shower, garden and private bathroom that we were fortunate to use as there was no one staying at the cottage. We had the whole property to ourselves and enjoyed the fire pit and comfortable seating around it as well. Molly is super responsive and had everything ready for us when we arrived.

Great location in the woods with a view towards the water. We loved both the outdoor shower and indoor bathtub. Clean and Mendo funky. We were the only ones at the property so that was a bonus. We’d stay there again

Stunning RV campground!

My wife and I would love to thank Molly for the excellent stay. The grounds are so well maintained and have everything one could ever want or need. Super private and in such a beautiful location! We’d love to stay again soon!

Parking spots for the camper van are beside the garbage. It is close to Mendocino, which is nice but it’s basically a parking spot beside garbage.

Unforgettable experience

Great experience with great host. Accommodating and friendly. The private forest and hike through was amazing. Everything is close by with access to amazing views.

Campsite was great, cute little property with a cool outdoor shower and bathroom to use. Had plenty of free firewood and nice little fire rings. Had the place to ourselves other than someone at the vacation rental but still had plenty of privacy. I would stay again

Whale Song Site

Very nice spot, away from the main hwy road, but close to the road it's on. So small car noise when ppl are pulling into the inn across the street. I stayed at the whale song spot. Everything is clean and well kept! Outdoor shower is cool, temp of the water got to around 82°. So it was chilly in the morning lol but there's another shower in the bathroom with the toilet. Overall nice stay with fire pits and free wood!

Great parking spot for a van or small camper. Nice amenities (bathroom with sink and tub, outdoor shower, water, wifi, fire pit with firewood). Be sure to bring matches and fire starter or an axe to make extra small kindling. Some nice views when the fog clears. Close to a rental cabin, that host says they don’t rent when Whale Song is occupied. Great communication from host. Thanks for a great stay!

We felt like the Host was very communicative. When we asked questions, they responded quickly with answers. The place was clean and orderly. It is a very peaceful place. It was so quiet. We met a gray fox. 🦊 We enjoyed ourselves very much and plan to stay there again.

Super responsive & very accessible

Molly was wonderful. Every time we texted her she responded right away. Even at night on our check in day. Molly did everything she could to make our stay great. I really appreciated it. The property was lovely and the bathroom was great. I love the little touches like the claw foot bathtub and the little heater that kept the bathroom warm on cold nights. We saw a fox and a few deer on the property.

Camp among the redwoods

This was our second stay at The Big River Campsite and it was as wonderful as we remembered. We had the opportunity to meet one of the owners and they were delightful and welcoming. We explored the redwood trails, the river and of course the sea. Just a magical place.

Glaming not camping!

This spot is amazing! Location is near walking distance to beaches and trails and town! The property was meticulous! The bathroom was super sweet and clean! Molly even allowed me to use the washer. I was a bit shy to pay $90 to camp but the amenities and location were well worth the price. She was super responsive to any questions as well. I highly recommend this hip camp!

Lovely spot with just right amenities for our camper stay! LOVE the bathroom with the soaking tub, towels etc. Also right across the street from beautiful gardens with animals. Def coming back!

Beautiful Mendocino RV Stay

We loved staying in Molly’s RV in Mendocino!! The location couldn’t be better. It’s a 5 min drive from downtown with all the cute shops and restaurants. It’s also literally across the street from the Stanford Inn, so if you don’t feel like cooking (which we didn’t several times), you can pop over there for some amazing vegan food and drinks - dog friendly! The RV was as described. It’s older, but very clean and functional and Netflix on the tv was a nice treat. The bed felt way bigger than a queen size and was really comfortable. Bedding and pillows were provided. There is one bathroom that’s shared with the other two RV spots on the property, so we made friends with them and never had a problem sharing. There is also an amazing clawfoot tub in the bathroom that we used while the other guests were gone and that was nice. We loved it and look forward to returning soon!!

Beautiful coastal retreat

We enjoyed everything about our stay here, especially the extra touches, like plenty of kindling and firewood, the beautiful outdoor shower, the solar night lighting, and the well-stocked shared bathroom with running hot water. Great location, close to beaches and town, yet private and secluded. We’ll be back for sure!

Amazing place to stay

The property is AWESOME. Molly is an amazing host and was very helpful with all of her messages from places to eat to WiFi codes. We got far more than we expected with this campsite. Private property that you can walk through forever, multiple areas to hang out, a disc golf hole, giant Jenga, giant checkers, corn hole. This place has everything. Not to mention, the outdoor shower is awesome! And they also have an indoor full bathroom. Highly recommend.
