Hidden Knoll Farm - Panoramic View

The property had AMAZING views and was the most well-stocked campsite we had ever stayed at. It was a luxury to be able to pack so light. We spent the warm weekend driving around, trying to find water activities to do with our dog but it was near impossible. The nearby lake and dog beach that was recommended was not open to the public and was going to be a 30 minute walk-we were told there was a risk security could stop us since it was only for HOA owners and their guests. There weren't that many nearby dog hikes that we picked up using our AllTrails. And we were looking forward to to kayaking with our dog at Clear Lake, but most of Clear Lake is actually prohibited to dogs. Gigi was super responsive to my messages but it was actually Bruce that was our host for the weekend. There wasn't too much to walk to around the property-Bruce tried to describe the hidden trails but it was hard for us to follow. We regret not using the hot tub since it looked so inviting and wished the cold plunge was usable (it became a pond for mosquitos). Bruce was a very interesting, chatty, opinionated guy. It was hard to walk away from conversations at times. He was so nice, flexible and understanding. It was a perk to use an actual bathroom even though it felt invasive since it was in the house. He showed us a lot of hospitality.

I cannot say enough good things about this place!! The yurt setup was gorgeous and you can tell they really put their heart into it. It was a couple cold nights we stayed, but the electric fireplace and blanket made it so that we never even thought about it. Gigi was super responsive with any questions we had, and responded within minutes. The hot tub overlooks the most beautiful view, and you have to try and catch it at sunset because it overlooks the hills and the sunsets look amazing from the tub. There’s a nice bar/restaurant only 5 minutes away. Wine tasting only 5 minutes away. The hot springs are about a 10-15 min drive but they are so worth it. Do yourselves a favor and book a long weekend here. You won’t regret it. I can’t wait to come back.

The experience was not what we expected. We paid extra for electrical RV hook ups and also expected water since it was on the listing as included. We arrived to be told there was no hose to hook up water and the owner said electrical would be difficult. He gave us a flashlight, a small lantern, and a large jug of water. A kind gesture but not at all what we had expected or hoped for. Also, I would not recommend taking a travel trailer any longer than 17’ up to the site. Ours is 20’ and we almost got stuck on the way up and the way down. We ended up leaving a day early.

Springbar with Million Dollar View

It is an absolutely beautiful spot, but it’s a little closer to the main house than we realized and the booking advertised water and power but neither were available when we arrived. We made due with a water jug and lanterns/flashlight that the host offered us. Also the switchbacks/hair pin turns are no joke in a 20’ travel trailer. We thought we would be fine because it was well under 24’ but it was tough.

Really nice but had a few issues, especially if your going for the lake. No access to the lake down the road, which they made seem like they had access in their description. I booked different site, they said I could put a tent next to the white one but their was no space and it was on rocks. So you had to sleep in their tent which costs 140 a night! I booked 60 a night, I left the next day. The guy was really nice and helpful. I just didn't have the best experience. Plus it rained and I tried to cancel but it was too last minute. Just a few suggestions, make sure you put you don't have access to lake, that's my main reason I wanted to go. Fish and play with my dog at the lake.

Walk in Tent Camp Pano Views

For campers on the driveway spots (north side), it is good to know that the walk UP to the bathroom is a trek. We have a camper van with toilet so not a problem for us. Positively it is very pretty with expansive views and comfortable seating area around the pergola. Nice view from our camping spot on the hill in the smaller site called Moonrise. In April we watched the sunrise. There is no water or power on that site. You can use the fire pit. Our dog enjoyed the freedom being off leash which was amazing. It seemed very private in the camping site. Spring is especially pretty because the hills are so green. We had a few nice walks one up to the ridge (4miles) and one that took us to Middletown lake in a gated community and around the lake and down to town. 8 miles. The hot tub and plunge pool need to be monitored better. It was too cloudy to get in which I was disappointed about. The owner was very friendly and stopped to chat with us a few times. There is a yurt, smaller tent and a large gravel spot for an RV by the pergola attached to the main house. I would recommend it with the caveats mentioned about walking and if they keep the hot tub and plunge pool water clear.

Quiet camping under the stars

My family had a great time camping in our tent on Gigi’s property. We woke to the sounds of neighboring farms’ animals, got to see a few little lizards and many birds around our site (including woodpeckers!)outdoor dishwashing and hot shower were a plus. Also very close to hardware stores and grocery market for any last minute purchases. We are excited to come back for summer time

I loved camping on Gigi's land. The view is beautiful, hosts are wonderful and friendly and gave excellent detailed instructions. It was great having access to a bathroom, a camp kitchen and the hot tub was divine! Would definitely camp here again!

Panoramic views, dogs welcome

This was our introduction to glamping. It's so convenient. No need to set up a tent, and it came with amenities: kitchen, restroom, hot tub, and more. And the views from the hill was fantastic, especially during sunset. Host, Gigi was gracious in showing us around the property, pointing out landmarks in the area and highlighting ctivities should we choose to do them (hiking etc). Overall it was a great experience. The belle tent was spacious and clean, and judging from the snoring of our dog, who slept in his own bed (we brought it with us). He too had a great time and restful sleep.

Although the hosts have an amazing property with gorgeous views they failed to alert us before we arrived that the excellent site we paid for was not available. There was no fire pit, no electively or water at our site.

A remarkable glamping experience!

Springbar with Million Dollar View

Gigi is super thoughtful with her set up of the campsite. Everything you would need and more is provided; a super comfortable, heated bed inside a super cozy springbar tent. I have never slept better while camping. The view from the sunset campsite is truly breathtaking! Also, the outdoor heated shower and hot tub!! They were remarkable. :)))

Walk in Tent Camp Pano Views

Gigi is such an incredible host. We got in later than expected, well after dark, and she helped us find the best camping spot on the property. The next day we watched the sun come out from the hot tub with spectacular views. And later Gigi showed us around the land and let me and my daughter help out on little projects. She set us up with an awesome little fireplace and we eat dinner with another wonderful family with three little ones. They all became fast friends and we sat around roasting marshmallows while Gigi regaled us with Girl Scout lore until the kids finally succumbed to the sugar crash and went to bed. Review from Brooklyn, age six, “It was the best time I ever had. I really liked going into the garden and helping planting seeds. I really enjoyed making a fire with Esme and playing tag in the dark.”

Our hosts went above and beyond to accommodate our family of 5 for this lovely camping experience. The tent was very family friendly and our kids stayed cozy warm w the bed heaters, such a nice bonus. The view was stunning, the camp kitchen and pantry was set up well. Wonderful calm welcoming energy there, our family loved our stay!

My partner and I were visiting harbin hot springs and this was the perfect cozy space to come back to. It was a pretty cold evening but we stayed toasty overnight inside the yurt. Gigi was super responsive and helpful from the day I booked the site until the morning we left. I’ll definitely be staying here again! Thanks Gigi!
