Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
Our farm is facing southeast towards the Barriessa Ridge and BLM land. Vast open space with sweeping view for days! We tend to 2 acres of oak forest and 1 acre of grasslands, together make up our Wildlife Corridor. We have resident flocks of quail and acorn woodpeckers, occasionally we spot endangered species like monarch butterflies and Pileated Woodpeckers, as well as roaming deer and many other wild critters. Goats, chickens and horses reside nearby as well. Beautiful sunrises and moonrises, and the cleanest air California! Stars so bright you will never forget them! Very little light pollution, and very low EMFs. We are a working permaculture farm with beautiful organic market gardens, a young orchard, and interesting natural building projects in progress. We cultivate and sell medicinal and culinary herbs and herbal formulas, and amazing teas. You will be able to purchase farm-fresh produce. We offer 2 indoor rooms, a private art studio, and several camping platforms, all with a view. Camping amenities include outdoor shower and bath (private forest setting), shared outhouses and an outdoor community kitchen for you to use!. Campfires only allowed during the months when California's Burn Ban is not in place. There is a covered area for your ice chest, and a safe kitchen for you to set up your cooking stove. ABSOLUTELY NO FIRES OR FLAMES IN THE CAMP GROUND AREA as we are very fire-prone during the summer months. Indoor rooms include shared kitchen, indoor bath/shower, as well as shared living space with a cozy fireplace always roaring in the winter months, and air conditioning during the summer. All guests can "Free Range" to their heart's content, taking in gardens, works of natural building art, wildlife sighting, unoccupied camp decks for meditation, sunning, yoga, stargazing or just hanging out in good company. We offer services such as Farm to Fork meals, intuitive body work, lessons in garden art, natural building, sculpted cob, playing with plasters, herbal walks and medicine-making, as well as homesteading skills (gardening, jam-making and other forms of preserving foods, etc)

Sky View Campsite @ Golden Rocks

Tent site · Sleeps 4
Campsite #4 is called "Skyview" and has the best view for stargazing. Our campground overlooks a beautiful valley and the Berriessa Ridge Mountains..  There are camping decks as well as cushy camping spots directly on the ground for those who want to "ground."  The campground has stunning views towards the east—mountains with a sweeping valley view in the foreground from pretty much every camping spot.  Outrageously great sunrises and sunsets, as well as moonrises!  Great place to watch meteor showers!! The outdoor community kitchen and fire ring is available for use, complete with refrigeration, triple sink with running water and plenty of dishes to use.  Outdoor shower with hot water and great pressure, as well as an outdoor claw-foot bath tub in the woods, clean well water with NO CHEMICALS ADDED!  Lovely if you are used to city water with chlorine.  Community Farmhouse has access from 8am to 9pm for wifi, showers and bath, reading library, and just hanging out by the fireplace or swamp cooler.  Generally there are guests and volunteers year-round, which makes for interesting visits since these folks come from all over the US and abroad. This is a working permaculture farm and you will encounter chickens, beautiful gardens, and interesting projects in progress, including several sculpted cob structures and a small pallet house made from award-winning design plans, and coated with gorgeous earthen plaster over cob.

Westfalia Camper by Campfire

100%
(1)
Vintage trailer · Sleeps 2
This little inoperative 1980 VW Westfalia is still a very cozy space for a parent and child or a pair of lovers. It is located very close to shared outdoor community kitchen and community fire ring as well. Beautiful sunrises can be seen from inside windows of this cozy space, as well as moonrise at night on mountains in the backdrop of the setting. Equipped with an incredibly comfortable full-size bed and cushy bedding, its hardly camping! Directly adjacent to the fire ring, you will be able to have your marshmallow, and eat it too! There are two chairs and a table to relax and enjoy the view from just outside the camper. The camper itself is perched under a shade tree and oriented towards easterly views of the mountains beyond. Fun farm environment complete with chickens, dog and cat, and likely other interesting travelers. Plenty of wildlife in the meadows and forest surrounding us as well as incredibly good bird watching. Fantastic local hikes and hot springs nearby!
