Beautiful, cozy, quiet, comfortable cabin among the trees. A perfect spot to disconnect over a rainy weekend. We loved the windows, and exploring the trails with our dogs. Quite rustic, pack like you’re tent camping; but much more luxurious and comfortable than a tent for the winter time. The hosts were responsive and helpful.

It was an amazing experience! Definitely a great way to seperate yourself from the hustle and bustle of everyday living. The site had amazing reception for us (xfinity mobile). With that being said, it is outdoor living. No electricity, low lighting and somewhat rough terrain for the inexperienced. I went for our wedding anniversary and made an amazing night. This was possible through being overly prepared and we loved it. I would recommend this site to anyone, but with the emphasis with being prepared. Suggestions for the trip: Light, hiking boots, and a nice glass of wine to enjoy the nights sky.
P.S. Solen was an amazing host and answered our questions with quick response.

We loved staying at the tree house! The location is super quiet and peaceful, the views were wonderful. Easy to find following Solen’s instructions. We loved taking outdoor hot showers. We brought some with us but Solen had left plenty of bug repellent which was helpful. One thing we’d recommend improving is the bed which is a pad on the floor as the pictures show and we found it quite thin so not the most comfortable but other than that it was a lovely experience!

Forest Mountain Tree House
We loved our stay at the forest treehouse! It was the perfect fit for our small group and dogs. We loved that the location was close to the river and town. We got a little lost finding the road at first but the directions from the host helped us locate it without issues. There weren’t many bugs and we liked how secluded it felt. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone with mobility issues because there it is on a steep hill with uneven ground. We appreciated the amenities- from the outdoor kitchen to the composting toilet! We would definitely stay here again.

We often go to unusual places. But perhaps this was extremely unusual :)
When the sun went down, we found ourselves in complete darkness, in the forest, where there is no light from the windows of houses, from headlights, where you can’t hear other people or the noise of cars.
An amazing experience! But you have to be prepared for this, because there is no electricity. Charge all your phones and take flashlights.
We liked everything. But there are a couple of things that need to be fixed and then it would be extra comfortable.
The tables near the grill and in the kitchen were very dusty, leaves and other things from the trees fall on them and I really wanted to wipe them with a rag, but there was no rag at all. Second, there was no dishwashing liquid or hand towel.
Third, there were not enough forks and knives, plates and mugs.
Fourth, there was no lighter or anything to light the coals and the gas stove.
Fifth, more lighting is needed in the house.

It was wonderful to stay at the treehouse! It’s a beautiful little retreat surrounded by woods with access to a shower, little kitchen, and dining space. We loved it and would go back again!!

Forest rejuvenation! I had such an incredibly peaceful time at the treehouse, exactly what I was needing to unplug from the energy of the fast-paced world, and recharge in the rhythms of nature. Deep breaths all week surrounded by the trees, the birds, & breeze- my cup is full! Perfect for nature lovers, the basic comforts are covered, so the emphasis is on enjoying the beauty surrounding you.
Can’t beat taking a relaxing shower(with hot water!) in the middle of a forest.
Solen went above and beyond to make sure I had all I needed, I really appreciated the solar powered lantern & fairy lights in the evening when the sun went down. He showed me around the trails on the property & how to access the yuba from the tree house, it’s an adventurous hike for sure but man oh man the swimming hole was out of this world.
I’ll definitely be back next time I’m needing a whimsical treehouse getaway.

Beautiful views, thoughtful touches to the campsite. Bring bug spray or protection because the mosquitoes were intense at sunset and sunrise.

We had a wonderful time staying at the treehouse :) the home is very cute and cozy with great views and the property is quite big. We especially appreciated the deck to hang out and watch the sunset through the trees. I feel like Solen goes above and beyond to provide a good experience, providing towels, hammocks, bug spray, citronella candles, and kitchen equipment. There’s a shower and sink with running water and a composting toilet as well. It was quite perfect for two people and a dog to enjoy some peace and quiet.

We rented both the camp site and treehouse. Great camp site if you are into to remote camping. Bring LOTS of bug spray. Stolen was very helpful in leading us to the site and showing us around. 4-wheel or AWD is needed to get to the site. There is a an outdoor shower with hot water, level areas to set up tents, a small table and grill. The treehouse is perfect sleeping for a small family or couple. By the treehouse is a wash station and cook stove. If you prefer to be on your own away from big campgrounds this is a good spot. It’s not far from Yuba access and swimming.

Forest Mountain Tree House
We had a lovely, memorable weekend staying at the treehouse. It is in a beautiful, tranquil setting and host Solen was incredibly helpful and went the extra mile to be sure that my kids and I had a great stay.
Things to consider-
- The dirt road was a bit difficult to maneuver in my mom-van with no 4 WD. We did it though!
- pit toilet is down a steep path and next to the tent site
- it’s rustic/minimalist…which we liked!
Our days at the close by river were fantastic!

Definitely off the beaten path, and 4x4 required, but Solen’s spot was a lifesaver when there weren’t any first-come-first-serve campsites left!

I never got the chance to spend time at this site, due to the owners lack of awareness. Upon my arrival to the road leading to the remote campsite, I was greeted by large fallen tree on a single one way in one way out road. To which I contacted the owner and his response was " does the tree look like a natural fall or a deliberate fall ?"
In which of course I was concerned. He then told me he had to take his girlfriend to work. I waited for some time. With him not connecting me I decided to BACK MYSELF up out of his canyon dirt road. I was alone with my dog and didn't want to wait for dark. He never contacted me. I reached out to him the next morning in which he stated he had just cut the tree. Being single I had no choice but to find another camp site that night.
Luckily I was able to find a site at 7 pm. After spending an additional $70 for site not including having to fill gas tank.
I was very nice in asking for a reimbursement even stating the fact I'd like to go back in future. The owner text me saying he would give me a " partial reimbursement" in which was in the amount of $20. Totally unexceptionable in my opinion. I have the few text messages shared between us if needed I can share them. I'm sad things didn't turn out differently that's for sure :(

Definitely for real outdoor enthusiasts! who don't mind hiking and bugs. 10/10 recommend! I spent two nights in this sweet little tree house. Solen thought of the little details such as insect repellent and bug spray throughout the grounds, a power charging bank and towels.

Solen went above and beyond to deliver us all the amenities we could hope for during our stay! He provided firewood, gave us access to an outdoor shower, supplied running water, and pointed us to good locations to go for a hike and watch the sunset.

Forest Mountain Tree House
Solen was a lovely host, who knows the area really well. The spot is beautiful, if rustic (was fine for my crew, and a great deal!) and a short drive from both Nevada city and the river. I’d recommend bringing bug spray and Technu for poison oak, if you’re going to stay here, and hang out in the area in general.

The camp site was really unsafe, the “trails” were not safe, there was a fallen tree over the trail leading to the out house, the bath didn’t fill up, it needs a different plug or something, spiders everywhere in the tree house and really dirty. There was rebar sticking out of the ground with water bottles over them. Not to mention there was poison oak by the kids slide area and by the hammocks. Definitely NOT kid friendly. The address given was not correct and it took use about 45 mins to find the location after contacting the host. In my opinion it was not ready to be listed. A lot of work needs to be done. The best part was the view.
