This land was home to the Miwok, then European and Chinese miners, then a cattle rancher. It was also home to a former nun who quit the dominican order to purchase this land for inner city kids to have a chance to ride, swim, hike and fish. We moved here in 2017 and purchased this land with the main goal to raise our large family here, but we have found that good things must be shared! There is NOTHING like being in the wilderness of this area for a good re-centering of the soul! We have found it to be a true blessing for our family, and we hope you can experience this blessing as we share this space with you. We feel certain you will not be disappointed with this beautiful river canyon. Our property is situated right on the middle fork cosumnes river. We have 2 sleeping cabins and several tent sites (can be rented separately). The cabins offer a rustic/minimalist type vibe - bring your own bedding/pillows to sleep on the comfy futon. A table and chairs are provided for the cabins. Tent sites have a wood table (bring your camp chairs) and a fire pit when the season is open for burning. The swimming is awesome and the stars at night will put you into a state of awe! Many family owned wineries in the area, most of them offering free tasting. It’s a short drive to Tahoe and the Marshall gold discovery site as well as the historic hangtown Placerville. The recent Caldor Fire was VERY close to our property and a back burn was initiated nearby the cabins. It is still as beautiful as ever but please know there are lots of slash piles. Falling trees and burned up stump holes are also a risk and it is presumed campers will be cautious and use at their own risk. Please don't hesitate to shoot us a message if you have any questions!

Tent Site 5
Joleen was helpful beforehand and down to earth upon meeting. We had privacy our entire stay which was very cool of her and family. The place they’ve created to camp is great and on the river. Liked site 5, next time would choose 4 if it was a busy time or 3 because it seems on a ledge with a view and view of river below. Thank you Joleen!

Tent Site 5
family friendly river swim & camp
The river was great if cold. not quite deep enough for an adult to dive in but could submerge and perfect for the 9 and 11 year olds. bathrooms were good. The water was from a single hose spigot next to bathrooms. it was potable but we felt better bringing in our own water for drinking. The spots 5-6-7 right next to river had a lot of shade and the mosquitoes were there but not terrible although we did have a screen house for meals. Luckily noone was in 6 while we were in 5 or it would’ve felt like we were camping with them—no space between those 3 sites—downhill from the bathrooms but lovely being so close to the water. We tried to buy eggs but they never arrived. Would definitely go back.

Cabin #2
Relaxing river stay for 2 and a pup
We had a blast at the River! It was super hot but it was nice and cool by the river. Cabin was modest but had everything we needed to keep cool and sleep comfortably. The chickens weren't too loud. Astrix the guard doggie was super chill and Noleen's kids played with our lil camper. Very sweet family. We took our dog to get away from the fireworks and she had a great time swimming. Recommend for families and couples looking to get away for a nice weekend floating on a river!

Tent site 3
This was a great campsite! I would warn that site 2 and 3 are VERY close together…we booked both with some friends so it was perfect. Site 3 was spacious and right above the river so relaxing! The bathrooms were very clean and being able to walk down to the river was amazing.

Tent/RV Site 1
This campground is graced by a beautiful, and I mean beautiful, river with a swimming hole! It's a lovely oasis among the other nature. Our site however, was okay. Last minute, I messaged Noleen if she had any extra sites, and she kindly opened one up for us because everything else was booked (it was 4th of July weekend!) The site she opened up felt a bit like an extension of their backyard. It was right by the bathroom, which didn't bother us and was actually quite convenient. But the site itself had a bunch of overflow supplies from their backyard/other campsites and was not well shaded (it was over 100 degrees!) There were some surprisingly convenient amenities, such as a fridge, grill, and hose... However, if you're searching for a true submersed in nature, off the grid type, I would recommend one of Noleen's other sites. These are in the shade, right by the water. It was great to have a campsite at all, but this site should not have been priced at the same amount as the other well shaded, well maintained sites.
