Chilla Ranch
Sweet dogs, cats, and the Milky Way
My best friend and I loved the sweet dogs and cats that greeted us on the property! The night sky was amazing, and very private, quiet place to wake up to as well. Was tough finding in the dark, and no service at all, about 30 min before, so make sure you communicate ahead of time with host, (Trevor was responsive) and screen shot directions and maps. Also, there are multiple "Jay" drives/streets, so maybe clarify with Trevir ahead of time how to find the right one, as we got a little turned around in the dark. Thanks again Trevor, we would return!

Great spot welcoming host recommend
Great spot, exactly what we were looking for. The host is just getting set up and has a big vision for this place. In the meantime it’s great alternative to dispersed camping, which is hard to find in California. Great views, friendly dogs that keep you company, and lots of animals in pens to check out -ducks, rabbits, pigs, chickens. The host is super friendly.

Chilla Ranch
The scenery was beautiful, we pulled a 37’ gooseneck trailer to the site. It was a challenge getting to the location but once we were there we enjoyed it very much. Unless you know your rig and trailer I would not recommend trying to get such a large rig back there. The road has many large trees that hang over and single lane. But I will say if you are a overlander or have a smaller trailer we would Definitely recommend it. Has beautiful views, was at the end of the road, very quiet, peaceful and the stars were amazing. Random dogs, cow poop, and flys
I would not do this place again or recommend it. We never meet the host, so not sure about them. But there was 2 dogs and 2 kitten's that would come and eat your food, take your supplies while you cook, dig through your stuff at night, bark next to your camp all night long, and then there was all the cow patties, never ending. Also, this isn't a large or tall vehicle friendly road. Did i mention there was trash and random items all over the property.
I also picked up a ton nails and screws in our camp. Hoping none found there way into our tires.
Chilla Ranch
Secluded spot deep in the canyons of Twin oaks. Robert is just starting up this area, but he’s got a good thing going! Multiple spaces to pitch a tent and a couple fire pits. Bring food and water…and don’t expect cell service :) Highly recommend filling up the gas tank before starting the trek through the dirt roads. 3 friendly dogs roam the property with cows! Would return!
