This camp spot is closed apparently- I drove 3 hours after my payment was made & reservation made, I got acknowledgment on all & then was told by the host he no longer is a Hipcamp host.

The setting is idolic with the pond and orchard. The host is very pleasant and offers the guest all he has. The only misgivings for recommendation are the road and electricity. Going 3mph and the washboard road still beat us silly. The electricity, while freely offered, is a 15amp outlet and not what was expected for a motorhome to use (and this could be my error in assumption).
The trains ran regularly in the background but weren't a bother for me.

We had trouble initially finding the camp because nothing was labeled directing us into the camp and once we arrived, we were confused on where to setup tent. After finally finding the numbered stakes in the ground and re-reading the email regarding check-in for the campsite, the high wind blowing through the camp made it very hard to setup a tent with sand blasting into our eyes and the wind ripping the tent out of our hands. Also, the ground was so hard that anchoring the tent was not possible. We weren’t able to setup the tent and got very frustrated so we did not stay there. The pond was nice and the camp indeed was private(ish) but it wasn’t worth the money and trouble that we went through

I tried to reach the hose to cancel but I still ended up paying for someplace i didn’t go. Oh well just bad host bad customer service. You guys should place a warning that after reserving se aren’t able to cancel i guess lesson learn

The train went by what seemed like every 30minutes and they were always LONG and loud freight trains. It made sleeping almost impossible. Otherwise, it’s a quaint location especially on a road trip through Route 66. Just don’t expect to get any rest.

I was camping solo with only my cat. Sadly, I realize that I did not bring enough water and ice to stay four days and three night after I setup my Ikamper skycamp2.0. I was not able to moved car. Indalfer the host came to m rescue and was very helpful. Thanks Indalfer!

We did not stayed there. We just left without even unloading. The mosquitos were eating us alive. Ants every where. No body was fishing. The pond was so dirty. The area was dry and dusty. The bathrooms was far from the shed.

The host only speaks Spanish, so that was a small difficulty for me. There were people fishing when I arrived and that was nice. They left before it got dark. I was camping alone and there were a lot of random people coming to try and use the bathroom. There were two men that broke into the bathroom, I had the door code to and then got "stuck" in the bathroom. They opened the side window and crawled out and then drove over to chat. I walked over to check on my bathroom and the window was wide open and the was poop all over the place. I tried to call the host but I don't think they understood what I was asking. So I just handled it. Then next night there was a man sleeping in his car parked by the bathroom and asked my to let him in. I told him he needs to contact the host because I was a camper and I paid to camp. It was really weird that he was always parked right in front of the bathrooms also. There was also another man drinking in his car, for 3 nights after I arrived. I was very mindful to make sure that I closed the bathroom door and it was locked when I was finished and every time I went over to shower, it was again broken open. When I first got here, I was in love, its small and quiet. However as my stay progress, I became quickly concerned, about my campsite and my things during the time that I would need to leave and my things were unattended if they were going to be there when I returned, as there were two men camping in their cars, and they would leave the gate open during the day. I am hoping that the grounds are better maintained, in the future.
