River View Chalet

Absolutely beautiful! We stayed at the River view chalet with friends a group of four and it was spacious. The campground itself had everything we needed to be able to enjoy our stay. Lynn was the first to greet us on the campground and she made sure we were situated at our site right away. She was kind, friendly and also hospitable we felt right at home! Thank you, and we will surely be back!

We just got back from a long weekend at Camp Noyo and stayed at the Crowley campsite. I honestly can’t recommend it enough, especially for families who want a taste of off-grid camping without giving up too many comforts. The site itself was spacious, private, and surrounded by towering redwoods. There was enough shade to stay cool during the day but still plenty of dappled light in the morning for coffee at the picnic table. Our five-year-old had a blast exploring the nearby trails and splashing in the river with our adult kiddos. Crowley comes stocked with a table, fire ring, propane stove, lanterns, and all the cookware you’d need, which made meals super easy. There are flushing toilets, hot showers (you heat water with a little wood fire!), and even kayaks down at the river. It honestly felt more like a private retreat than a campsite. A few things to know: Your belongings will need to be loaded into an ATV and moved to your campsite by a host. This went quickly but something to be aware of. Also, the drive in is a long dirt road, totally doable in our SUV, but slow-going. It took us 35 minutes. The host, Lynn was kind, attentive, and super helpful from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. You can tell she really cares about making this place special. We’d love to come back!

This is such an incredibly beautiful and well managed property. The Camp Noyo team was available at all times to help with anything we needed (including finding alternative sleep options for us when it poured rain and our tent flooded!). We had such a wonderful time and truly appreciate the attention and care they provide their guests. 10/10!!!

Can't Rain on Noyo's Parade!

We had such a wonderful weekend at Camp Noyo!! as a large group coming from a couple different places, having a well stocked campsite with lots of amenities and activities made it such an easy weekend to get the group together. The covered picnic shelters at our campsite were a weekendsaver when we got an unexpected august rainstorm. Our camp host Lynn was so accommodating of our group and a pleasure to talk to throughout the weekend. We had so much fun paddleboarding upriver, hiking on the trails around the property, and big chillin' at camp. The camp kitchens made it easy to cook for our large group! unfortunately due to the rain, some members of our group got stuck on the road leading into camp. The Camp Noyo team hopped into action and successfully got their vehicle freed from the peanut butter road and back to safety. Dont know what we would have done without them!! while the welcome packets driving instructions were very clear, I would definitely recommend driving in while the sun is up! a 4 Wheel drive vehicle with clearance is definitely advised for the backroads leading into camp despite the rain and mud, we still had a stellar weekend at Camp Noyo!!! already looking forward to another visit next summer

River View Chalet

Lovely chalet, we enjoyed everything there was to enjoy and more. The camp manager (im horrible with names, Im so sorry!) was so helpful, accomodating and wonderful; she helped us so much and made us feel welcome. The chalet itself is big enough for 6/7 ppl and is right next to the beach. My kids loved the experience and we all did the kayaks both days we were there. Not only would I recommend this please, we will be back!.

Camp Noyo is fantastic! It's off the grid camping - deep in the woods, no cell reception so everyone can tune out and tune in, wonderful river with epic scenes, but it's also has the essential amenities for comfort - stoves, flushing toilets, showers, running water, kitchen items. Plus the host Lynn is a gem! She's super helpful, thoughtful and welcoming. Using the kayaks, canoes and paddle boats was awesome. Warning it's a long drive from the Hwy 20, but well worth it; you feel like you have arrived at a small paradise. Also, you will have to transport your stuff across a suspension bridge. No biggie for me, but just be prepared for a fun additional challenge.

We ABSOLUTELY LOVED this place! 3 things to call out before writing the rest of my review: 1. You will be driving on a bumpy dirt road for 10 miles at 10-15MPH (aka for almost an hour), plan accordingly 2. You will be HAULING your belongings and food across a narrow bridge, pack light with easy to carry handles. 3. You will NOT escape mosquito bites Once we set up camp and drank some water and had a snack. We were happy as could be! The camp comes with a massive camp stove, utensils, propane lantern, potable water, flushing toilets and showers that you fuel with wood! It was a "luxurious" camping experience to say the least. Our site (Glen Blair) was fairly private and we were able to fit 7 tents due to a few miscommunications in logistics. It had plenty of shade, and I loved having basically unlimited firewood to light campfires to keep mosquitoes at bay. The beach is great with benches to sit and a dock to swim to/float and even kayaks and canoes to canoe around the lake. I wish we did more hiking/exploring of the area. I loved this campsite and we're already planning our next trip back.

This place is paradise. Everything aspect of the experience reminded me of summer camp. The host Lynn is an angel. She gave us background on the camp, told us where to go hiking, and had great energy. The seclusion of the camp makes it special. Can’t recommend enough

I hate to leave this comment because I fear too many ppl with visit and ruin a great thing :/ AWESOME GEM!!! If you have car nausea I recommend taking Dramamine ha :) The closer you get to this remote destination the more twisted the road becomes. KEEP GOING! Camp Master- Lynn, simply delightful. When I first read “camp master” I thought Dateline lol. Lynn is the BEST she tries to remember everyone’s name and is eager to help replace any items at your camp that need replacing or just lend a helping hand. Thank you, Lynn. LYNN FOR PRESIDENT 😉 The bridge - PACK LIGHT! Thankfully I brought a tow strap or my tent would have been in the river. The bridge starts off level and nice, but at the end it’s a steep incline so hold on to your gear tight and wear shoes with traction. Campsite - Glenn Blair. Plenty of space for our large group of 10 ppl with 2 big tents one small and plenty of space for another tent, if needed. Location- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Disconnect, look up, look down, and feel the nature surrounding you. No signal, off grid camping. With a HUGE bonus, flushing toilets and cold/luke warm/ hot showers heated by a wood burning stove. Oh and free fire wood. Come on!! We are definitely going to visit again. Maybe after the dam is up! That means soon

We loved our stay at Camp Noyo. Our camp host Lynn made us feel so welcomed while also providing us with plenty of privacy. We stayed in the Irmulco site which offered the perfect combination of privacy and close proximity to the bathrooms. The dishwashing station, showers, and sinks were so luxurious with instant warm water! We also loved taking advantage of the commentary kayaks at the beach. My friends and I have already planned our trip back!

The BEST campgrounds ever!

Back again for our annual summer trip to our all time favorite camping spot. This place is truly magical. The (new to us) host Lynn was AMAZING. She went above and beyond our entire stay to make sure we had what we needed to enjoy our trip at Noyo. We booked site Crowley which is our favorite - very spacious and private feeling with a short walk to restrooms, beach, etc. It is also pretty shady and doesn't get too hot even in the middle of the day. If you are considering booking a trip here, DO IT! You will not be disappointed. We have always stayed for 3 nights but made a pact to stay even longer next year because we just never want to leave.

If I was going to make a nostalgic movie about the perfect summer camp, I would film it at Camp Noyo. This place is amazing. Awesome location along the river, and the host staff (Lynn) are so accommodating. You have all of the comforts you would need for convenience (bathrooms, hot showers, dishes, sinks, potable water), but the camp is setup in such a way that you are still getting the rustic nature experience that you want when you go camping. 10/10, we will be back to Camp Noyo.

A beautiful stay! Having firewood at the site and a well-prepped kitchen made camping/cooking easy. Kayaking was calm and beautiful. We hiked the train tracks to the watering hole which was amazing! But prep for the mosquitos- they are no joke!

Noyo River Adventure

Camp Noyo is a beautiful little gem of a campground! It's a little bit of a trek to get to but once you're there it's very comfortable. Everything is well-maintained from the bathrooms and showers, to the swimming hole (complete with kayaks, oars and lifejackets) to the extremely well-stocked sites themselves. Camp Host Lynn was also super nice and helpful and available to assist if we needed anything. Would definitely come back!

We had a great time at camp Noyo. The other reviews that the road is very difficult I do not agree with. It is long, 30 min down to the camp from Hwy 20, but there weren't any areas that were too tough. We do have an SUV, but nothing higher than your average one. And we had no issues. I do think in wet times it might be too muddy and slippery to get through. Allen, who checked us in, is so knowledgeable about the area and was very friendly. The facilities are great. There's a sink do your dishes in! Games, kayaks, etc...We had a lovely day at the swimming hole up the railroad tracks. We moved sites since it was a quite weekend and we wanted to be in a spot further from the bridge. I would say most sites are lovely and would be happy with any of them except there is one mostly in the sun I would avoid. The hardest part is getting your stuff across the bridge to the camp site. Just prepare for it to take some time, as it is narrow and you need to do many trips to get all your gear across. Pack ALL your mosquito repellant!

Camp Noyo is a gorgeous campground that is so isolated it feels like a secret spot at the end of a treasure map. There are so many amenities for you and the hosts are so gracious. This was a wonderful getaway and we are excited to come back! The host checked us in as soon as we arrived and gave us all the good tips on nearby hikes and watering holes. Our campsite was close to everything we needed but set off to have a good amount of privacy.

This was a beautiful place. We were at Alpine, and our site felt separate enough to have privacy and our own experience, but the bathroom and facilities were incredibly accessible. We took full advantage of the fully stocked kitchen tools, and made delicious meal to fuel our adventures. The owner of the camp came over to our site to introduce himself and tell the story behind the place. The family-focus nature of Camp Noyo and the spectacular surroundings made this weekend truly unforgettable. We will be back!
