BASECAMP Joshua Tree

It was close to everything. We enjoyed the portable fire pit & picnic table under the shade tree. The host was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating.

The bathrooms, potable water/sink, and communal space with wifi was a real treat. The tent campsites were extremely close together with no space in between so it was real noisy at times. It’s also right inside town so the noise from the traffic was also extremely loud.

great spot for a quick stay!! super clean bathrooms, and they had firewood to purchase on site which was super nice! super close to town and the national park. the only thing is there isn't much shade so during the day make sure you have a place to put things that could potentially melt or get damaged by direct desert sun!!

Overall facilities were nice! Could hear the couple next to us all night which made it hard to sleep so I would keep that in mind if you are not a heavy sleeper.

This place was great!!!! We camped In a tent and this place had the same amenities as if I booked and RV spot (meaning bath/shower, laundry,) and the grill area was perfect!

We had a nice flat site and the owner’s accommodated our last-minute request to change sites away from the park gate. The camp backs up to a city park with a dog park which was great. Very close to the JTNP West park entrance and we found it very easy to go in and out of the parks while we were there.

Great friendly and informed host, all needed. Not a pretty campground- a very flat sand lot but has showers, toilets and laundry. A few touches; fire pits, games, and yoga on Saturdays.

I took my wife and cousin here after an afternoon of climbing in Indian Cove for dinner, relaxation by a campfire, a good night's rest, and breakfast in the morning. Three out of those four goals were achieved! Our campsite was spacious enough for two cars, two tents, and a picnic table/bench. We had access to running water, a toilet and shower, and a dishwashing sink, too! Unfortunately, these sites are located adjacent to what seemed to be a parking garage for an apartment complex, and different cars, or possibly one car, blasted loud music at 02:00, disturbing our sleep. Additionally, the wifi is basically non-existent. It's not that we care to have wifi while camping, but it is advertised in the booking, and it was either too slow to load anything or consistently disconnecting. Overall, the check-in and check out processes were organized and efficient, and we found our camp site to be clean and perfectly sized for our needs! We would certainly camp here again, but we would hope for a lot farther away from the fence for a more peaceful night's rest. You also have access to a basketball and court if you want to hoop!

Great Basecamp for Adventuring

Great space to relax before going out Adventuring. Location is really convenient for getting to the National Park. Clean campground, bathroom and shower. Felt safe as a solo camper

Camping at Josh’s land was awesome! The bathrooms were clean, the whole campground was well kept! My friends and I really appreciated all the amenities that were available. Definitely would recommend this campground to anyone! I plan on booking here again next time I’m in Joshua tree!

Great place, even better than expected! Great communication from start to finish, easy to find, fantastic location (very close to the small downtown and one of the Joshua Tree NP entrances). The site was spacious, hookups great, and a huge bonus to have a large park with playgrounds next door! Would definitely stay again in the future!

Great campground, close to JT park.

This is a RV park with different options for hookups or dry camping . It was quiet and peaceful. There is no front office to direct people but a envelope with my name , instructions, wifi code and a key to use the faucet at our site was on the bulletin board. The site is small but since there were not many people there it was fine. A portable fireplace and picnic bench set were at our site. There are restrooms, a shower with hot water and a sink for washing dishes. Also they have a covered area with picnic benches , a laundry room and a microwave. It was close to the west entrance of Joshua Tree NP. I would definitely stay here again !

Fabulous Joshua Tree Campground

This was a first time campground for us. And we can’t wait to come back! The camp host, Brye, was super attentive from the time we checked in and all throughout our stay. He gave us helpful suggestions, accommodated our large group, came by to check in periodically and made sure we had everything we needed. The best host experience we’ve had! The grounds are clean, spacious and well-maintained. We especially loved the covered pavilion with lights so we could gather our large group together for our Thanksgiving meal. As an added bonus, there is a baseball field, basketball court, skate park and dog run adjacent to the property which makes it extra fun for kids. We have already recommended this campground to our friends. See you again soon!

Great Place to Stay

Joshua Tree basecamp was a great place to stay and enjoy the beauty of Joshua Tree National Park. The site and facilities were great and clean. Other campers were fun to talk to and everything you might need is close by. Would definitely recommend and would stay at again.

Everything you need. Water, electricity, nice shower, and community areas with a fire pit, cornhole, and games. The sink for washing dishes is a nice touch too. Would definitely stay again.

This is a nice little spot about 15 minutes from Joshua Tree NP. The grounds are really clean and well kept. They had showers with hot water(2 total), regular toilets, a sink area to do dishes, fire pits and a common area for guests. I think they even had a laundry room too, but we didn’t use it. If you are a tent camper, bring shade with you. The tent spots are fully exposed. There are only about 4 or 5 tent spots. Everything else is RV/Trailer spots. We had an issue with the wind (it was VERY windy) when we arrived so we ended up sleeping in the bed of my truck. Two people managed to get their all season tents up. Unfortunately, my Walmart tent ended up catching wind and turned into a giant kite. Lol Plan ahead with a back up shelter option. This place also backs up to a community center with a playground and basketball courts. It was a nice bonus we got to play at the playground before bed. The host is very nice and even came out to greets us when we arrived and was available for questions. If you’re looking for a chill base camp in the desert, this is the place.
